Just so I understand correctly...
Here's what Arthellion has posted about this before:Anakin could have a Jedi Class, say Guardian, and a Civilian Class like Noble?
There is also apparently an 'Engineer' civilian class:For that, I've decided to nerf those classes, but you'll be allowed to choose a "Civilian class" that levels along with your main class. It will also provide the type of storyline you have for your early years at Serenno.
For example, do you spend time with the militia (Soldier class)? Work hard at your noble duties (Noble)? Spend time in the Library (Scholar)? Ditch your responsibilities and hit up the seedier life (Scoundrel)? Fly with the starships (Pilot)?
Presumably there will be a fuller list when it's time to vote on it. All of these classes would be affected by the '+6 to All Skills' bonus from being a Sentinel....After looking at it... the Scimitar is the best stealth ship you can get most likely without building one from scratch yourself which would take the engineer civilian class. You can choose that class on serenno if you want.
Noble Class
Level 1: +2 To All Mental Stats. Noble Education Perk Granted
Level 2: +2 To All Mental Stats.
Level 3: +2 To All Mental Stats. Economic Skill Tree Unlocked
Level 4: +2 To All Mental Stats.
Level 5:+2 To All Mental Stats. Battle Ground Tactics Skill Tree Unlocked
Level 6: +2 To All Mental Stats.
Level 7: +2 To All Mental Stats. Double effects of Economic Skill Tree.
Level 8:+2 To All Mental Stats.
Level 9: +2 To All Mental Stats.
Level 10: +2 To All Mental Stats. Double Effects of Battlground Tactics
Remember this.Basically, choosing Guardian+ Combat prodigy gives you Level 1 in all styles (aside from Juyo/Vaapad) and 1 of 2 trainings for level 2 in all styles (but juyo vaapad). Because of Dooku's training, You instantly jump to Level 2 in Makashi and have 1of 3 Trainings for Makashi level 3.
Let's look a this.
Anakin Currently has the following stats:
Attributes:
Strength: 30 (+10)
Constitution: 30 (+10)
Dexterity: 34 (+12)
Wisdom: 43 (+17)
Charisma: 39 (+15)
Intelligence: 40 (+15)
If we go with Sentinel/Consular for 10 levels. We get 10 to all stats from Sent and 20 to Wis,Char, and Intel From CHR. So this is what our stats would look like (I'm not including abilties or purchasing stats with CP. I am including Dooku's bonuses)
Strength: 40
Constitution: 40
Dexterity: 44
Wisdom: 73
Charisma: 129
Intelligence: 130
If we go Guardian/COnsular, the following is our stats.
Strength: 50
Constitution: 50
Dexterity: 54
Wisdom: 63
Charisma: 119
Intelligence: 120
So! choose S/C Results in 10+ Higher mental stats but 10 lower physical stats. And vice versa if G/C is chosen. However, Guardian adds a training boost to saber styles, lets us learn almost all styles, grants access to the Saber throw force ability, and exotic weapons. Sentinel gives us a +2 to all skills.
Personally, look at our skills:
Skills:
Handle Animal (CHR):+18
Computer Use (Int): +18
Security (IDex): +15
Mechanics(Int): +23
Persuasion (Chr): +18
Awareness (Wis):+27
Piloting (Dex): +24
History Skill(Int): +18
Math Skill(Int):+18
Medicine Skill(Int) +18
Research Skill(Int): +18
Science Skill(Int): +18
Legal Skill(Int):+18
Political Skill(Wis):+20
Music Skill(Chr): +18
Acting Skill(Chr): +18
Athletics Skill(Str): +13
Cooking Skill(Int): +18
Economics Skill(Int): +18
Strategy Skill(Int): +18
Artistic Skill(Char):+18
I highly, highly doubt 2 points is going to make a huge different. Maybe if it was a +5 bonus, but the truth is, when we start getting into higher DCs a +2 is not going to do much. The boost of learning saber styles quicker will actually offset that + 2 especially if we study Niman or Makashi which grant us higher mental stats.
For example; training Makashi to level 10 gives us a total of 70 Intel points. Thats (if my math is as same as QMs) a +30 to all of our intel checks. With guardian, plus dooku's training, we could master Makashi in less than ten years.
Based on the mechanics of it, I think Guardian/Consular offers more than Sentinel/Consular.
The difference in stat gain between G/C and S/C is neglible, but the perks of G/C are long term and more applicable.
Just so I understand correctly...

Edit: Current Tally
@Arthellion
If we dual-class Jedi, say two of the base classes, can we also add a civilian class to that? I'm thinking no, right?

I'm assuming that the number is <base skill score> + <attribute modifier>. But I have no idea how attribute modifiers are determined, so I have no idea if the Sentinel's +6 to All Skills is significant or if it's just a drop in the bucket. (Given that Anakin is all of 10, and already has double-digit Skill scores, I suspect +6 is a pretty measly amount...).Droid Background:
+ 3 to Repair Skill
...
Teacher's Pet:
+3 to All Currently Unlocked Skills
so any chance we can find fhe 2 fancy saber crystals that revan had in kotor
mantle of the force and guardian sumthing
once cyan and one orange
@Arthellion, can you explain how Skills are calculated?
Thanks to our perks:

Separately: I don't see a 'Repair' skill -- I assume this was supposed to be the 'Mechanics' skill?
So the +6 (All Skills) we'd get from Sentinel would correspond to a difference of +12 in our mental attributes? That's... not bad, but looking at your NPC character sheets, most of them have attributes in the hundreds -- a difference of 12 seems like a pittance in comparison. Admittedly those are for fully trained Force Users, but the discrepancy (that developing attributes directly could be so much more better for skills that choosing a class that specializes in skills) strikes me as odd.
