Huh this made me wonder how Fredrick Von Hollenzhern from Dynasty of Dynamic Alcoholism quest would react to us. On one hand he would agree with most of our ideas considering how he started off as an atheist and he also is incredibly egalitarian with the biggest examples are of him opening an engineering school for all genders, creating a fair justice system and removing class restrictions on joining the Bull warriors and it's outright stated that the only reason why he didn't include women too was because the nobles would've revolted. On the other hand he hates necromancers alot and for good reason considering Zacharias strangled one of his children to death, put his wife into a coma and killed most of his province. And while he doesn't like Sigmarites as an organization he does worship More and one of his sons is essentially the Death Pope.

Freddy would hate us with the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns, but we'd be too far away for him to bother anything with. Arthur might organize something to take you down. Assuming you even get large enough that people in ostland know you even exist.

I don't blame him though considering the amount of necromancy shit he's had to deal with and unlike the Sigmarites church he doesn't hate magic users

Yeah Freddy of old wouldn't really care but the new Freddy is a champion of Sigmar.
He respects sigmar but he doesn't actually like the church considering they did including but not limited to torturing him, denouncing his wife, being theologically opposed to his kids, the witch hunters had a hand in his parents death, with hunters wanting to kill him and most recently the Sigmarite witch hunters what essentially amounts to ethnic cleansing against Manaan worshipers in ostland ( though to be fair he got attacked by some fanatics and he told the witch hunters to kill said fanatics. What he didn't want them to do was kill entire villages and he did try and make up for it by donating alot of ships and getting keelhauled in a battleship in order to make amends with the followers of Manaan)

Given how the descriptions of the Crown go... I do wonder if the Skaven getting it would cause them to self destruct. That might make for some interesting changes for everybody (also warpstone, which we need).

You'd need there to be workers for that.
We live in a world where societies range between iron age level like in norsca and renaissance like the empire. Most of the more advanced places like Nuln or the Dwarves lack the neccasary prerequisites for a proletariat/blue collar segment of society with the Dwarves sidestepping the labor management thing because of their guild system and Nuln is barely in the industrial era and lacks the universities and coffee shops that helped create the enlightenment which is prerequisite to the idea of socialism.

So what you're saying is that we need coffee.

I can get behind that.

In all seriousness, literacy is sorely needed.

I think we need to get some countermeasures for dhar ASAP considering how there's a necromancer nearby and we have better knowledge about than anyone else in the area especially when it comes to ethicality and practical use

Looks like the gobbos need more culling. Possibly we need to raise more undead.

A wizard of Death, hmm? That might be a problem.
Or an ally, depends on if a morrite/amythest college protege or if self trained, if the later things might not be so bad.

Either way I think contacting them is important, if they are an enemy and attack us, we find out faster, if not well we also find out more quickly.

So this is where I'm leaning at the moment....

[] Who is the Newcomer?
[] Court Independent villages

[] Build Temple to Ranald and Shallya(2 dice)
[] Dhar Countermeasures?

[] Help a nearby prince defend their land.

So will we eventually get polity sheets for our neighbors? I keep forgetting who they are in terms of how they behave aside from ''these dudes stole our cattle'' or ''these dwarves don't hate us''?

Okay, looking at this King Issac is probably the one most worthwhile of the show of good faith out of the established rulers, he may hate us now but he's not interested in being a colony of a greater polity probably so he might change his mind over time :)

They seem less of a priority to me given they don't yet need to be persuaded to not attempt to destroy us.

King Isaac does not speak, all orders and commands come from his wife Queen Sarah. Something is going on with that. You don't know if Sarah has usurped Isaac or if she's just interpreting him or what, because as soon as your diplomats arrived and introduced themselves she ordered them thrown out and barred from the kingdom.
For reference, here was king Isaac/Issac's diplomacy. It should be noted that we've hypothesized his wife is a Lahmian Vampire.

It should also be noted that Lahmians, IIRC, make it a central part of their work, mandated by Neferata herself, to screw with and harm the Strigoi as much as possible.

Plan follow the legislator
[X] Court Independent villages 1 die
[X] Who is the Newcomer? 2 dice
[] talk to Dante across the river 1 die
[] Build merchant connections 2 dice
[X] Raid Blue Tooth Goblins 1 die

What do people think about this as a draft plan?

I'm not sure about Build Merchant Connections. Last time I think the main thing it gave was the Rumor Mill rather than anything diplomatic. Maybe some building up of our armed forces instead? A Skeleton Legion (taking advantage of all the spare Goblin bones) and/or Black Knights, since it was noted our existing army had trouble with the Goblins and mostly won off the backs of the Terrorgheists, not to mention all the other raids we're being hit by. That or working on Dhar countermeasures.

Other than Merchant Connections I like it.

EDIT:

[X] Plan Diplomacy by Varied Means
-[X] Court Independent villages 1 die
-[X] Who is the Newcomer? 2 dice
-[X] talk to Dante across the river 1 die
-[X] Scout surroundings. 1 die
-[X] Outfit a Skeleton Legion 1 die
-[X] Raid Blue Tooth Goblins 1 die

Here's what I've got. Mostly the same as LilyWitch's except it trades merchant connections for scouting (to fend off any more raids) and outfitting a military unit (not sure which one yet.)

I'm also wondering how much we need 2 dice on Who the Newcomer Is. If we can handle it with 1 die, we can do more military outfitting, but 2 might be useful for a good first impression.
