Dawn of the final day....

[X] leave her be… for now, patience after all is a virtue.
-[X] greet the visiting students, let them know that they can come to you if need be, as the counsellor of course.

Let her cook for a while, I say.
We'll surely end up doing something absurd before too long anyhow.

[X] Alert Ozpin, now. You have to begin to act quickly, there is a plan at work and he will need to know. You can think on how to react to this woman later, with his help.

Well, not much movement since my last post and a clear winner:

Patience may be a virtue, but forewarned is forearmed. Well, too bad. :V

Just want to point out:

The notion that you *had until the Vytal festival* until something happened is meta knowledge, so this vote is actually using more metaknowledge than the one that goes to tell Ozpin that a spy, that you know is a spy, is here, right there, right now, and she is masquerading as a Haven student, meaning the place is compromised.

Who told you you actually had time to wait?

What the fuck guys, the GM literally placed Dark creepy music in his posts and you still did nothing. This is really stupid.

*Shrug*

As you had seen in the post I deleted (I am pretty sure you did, given you changed your vote in the interval between me posting it and removing it), I do think it wasn't the best idea.

It is, however, not entirely stupid, I can see the reasoning in some ways.

Also:

I didn't just post videos with creepy music, I posted one about the last hours in Majora's mask, one literally named *time is running out*… and the last video is one of two guards watching an enemy approaching and doing nothing, ending up with one of them dead.

Edit:

To be more precise:

It's easy to see that the first two videos could be taken as me making a jab at the fact that we entered the end game, as I pointed out in the update.

The last one… I would love to say that probably no one saw it, but there is a vote right below it, so I can't be sure.

Oh well... if a student/teacher/whoever innocent person dies Stella can deal with the consequences.

I kind of assumed she'd bring up the spies on her own when she meets Ozpin's group.

Eh, it might be more interesting this way.

But really, with meta-knowledge increasingly irrelevant, we're just going to have to flail around and figure things out.

Honestly, if whatever's happening is going to go down this quickly, taking Cinder out of the equation probably wouldn't have stopped it anyway. Without her powers, she is very likely not the actual boss of this operation anymore...

Skipping First and Second Warning, going straight to Third? Oh boy! How nice to see you again WhiteNight! Or would Blue Star be more appropriate here?

Just to be clear, my entire point was I want to see something happen regardless of if my reasoning was flawed, which it probably was, there are no wrong choices, positive or negative, come what may

This has been low key working me over but:

I don't really see how doing nothing was the best way to get something to happen?

Because, well, that what the vote is: a vote to sit on your thumbs and do nothing. I already pointed out that Cinder thought of Stella as a distraction and a nuisance, not knowing that you were her god, so the subvote may as well not be there for all intents and purposes.

Wanting to have something happen is fine, but there were other options, you could have talked to Cinder, or anything else.

It's just, doing nothing is never that great IMO.

In fact, the vote is annoying me enough I have to make sure not to be too harsh on the consequences.

Fair, I simply didn't like the wording of "I'll think about how to react with Ozpin's help" or whatever. It was an active choice worded in a kind of passive way... Or I'm nitpicking.

The easiest solution for that was to make a vote to go see Ozpin without that part?

Or, once again, to find a way to talk to Cinder, nobody even tried to think of a way to do so.

If you wanted to take command on how to react, doing nothing isn't really a great method IMO.

The reason I put the *you'll see how to react later, with his help* in was to show that this development was not expected by Stella, and that she needed some time to put her feet under her. Of course it's slightly passive, the active choice was supposed to be the confrontation.

I already admitted to flawed logic 🤣 I don't even remember why I thought that that would do something, probably it was that I thought preempting cinder would cause everything to be resolved quickly and for nothing much to happen and by doing nothing that cinder would follow through and cause something, inaction can cause(not cause per se, let events in motion occur is better) things by virtue of not having stopped them basically as opposed to actively doing something that causes something.
If I'm being honest I really didn't expect people to decide that I actually had a good idea.

Just found and caught up to this... and oh that is a mess of a vote right there.

Well for what its worth if I found this two days earlier I would have gone for the ozpin option.

Heh, this kind of thing happens.

It's not *plant a sword in our heart expecting to gain supper powers* level of stupid, just a very bad timing for doing nothing.

At this point, I have made my peace with it, the consequences are being hammered out and the writing is in process.

Hey, if Stella does everything for these people they'll never grow. They need to learn how to deal with horrible events without gods and wizards holding their hands all the time.

See, I would maybe agree... if dealing with horrible events wasn't the norm (Grimm are everywhere), the game wasn't rigged to hell and back (Ozpin has no way of taking care of Salem, and he has been trying for centuries in this AU, no *you cannot* leading to him just thinking it's impossible, he asked other questions, because this part infuriates me, not the fact he asked only that at the moment or took it very badly at the time, the fact he never tried to see if the question was wrong later), or if this act was supposed to be done as a god, instead of as someone who realized a spy is here and is using that information.

But the worst part is, even without Ozpin and you, there is still someone strongly influencing everyone, and that's Salem.

There will potentially be time to remove the dependence on the ozluminati... but right as they're about to make their presence unnecessary really isn't it.

You don't stop taking medication that is saving your life because *your body needs to learn to take care of this problem alone*, it cannot and will not, all this will accomplish is killing you, this is the same here. You stop after the disease is past, once your body can do his job.

I don't think this vote was a huge deal though, unless you planned big consequences for it. I thought Stella just chose not to tell Ozpin's team on the spot on that day. Wouldn't Stella just tell Ozpin's team within a week @Nyarky? I don't see why she wouldn't. But sure, mayhem can happen in that short span of time.

One week's too long.

Edit:

I mean, think about it, the enemy is in the walls already.

What is the best use of a spy you know is there?

And also, what event is probably next? What is Ozpin looking forward to? And who would be invited to this event?

What are the implications of Cinder being in a Haven uniform?
