I honestly can't decide between T-Rex or Raptors.

Because early Raptors were both evil as fuck, and Ridiculously intelligent.

While T-Rex has always been the ultimate badass of the series.

I cannot decide!

Edit: Dice, aid me!
Darik29 threw 1 2-faced dice. Reason: DINOSAURS!!! Total: 2

[X] Tyranosaurus Rex: The Tyranosaurus Rex was initially created by InGen as the primary attraction to the park. While the discovery that the find was a tyranosaur was extremely uplifting and promising for the future of the park, the question of what to graft to the genetic sequence puzzled the scientists. It was eventually decided that DNA of frogs and the secretary bird would be grafted alongside some DNA from tigers would be added when the first generation of tyranosaur came out mute. The roars that resulted satisfied John greatly and reinforced the 'unusually' hollow bones the first gen had. The unexpected addition of stripes to the scale hide of the resulting tyranosaurs. They are kept in a paddock far enough away from the staff facilities that both the staff and the animals are comfortable.

Thanks for the help Night-Stalker, you can bet that it is very much appreciated. Looks like the original JP raptors won big time with twelve votes in total. T Rex was in a somewhat close second with eight votes. Carnies were right behind in third with seven votes. Compies managed to settle into fourth place with five votes. Finally, Pachycepalosaurs, Dapple Back Raptors, and Dilphosaurus all tied for second last. Everything that got no votes finished in last.

Anyways, I'll do my best to get the chapter out by tomorrow night at the latest. Hopefully I will be able to get the chapter out by tonight. See you guys again when I have the chapter all written out.

Edit: Can I get someone to roll a 1d6 die for me. :DOdds for Female and Evens for Male. I love me some invisible text.

Question, does our gender have any impact on the quest at all? I can't really see how it would matter.
Good question. Gender does have an impact on the quest depending on species and pack you enter into due to differing pack/herd hierarchy systems. For the Dull Back raptors that you have chosen there isn't much significance in gender beyond the aforementioned bigger, nastier nature in females that Darik29 mentioned. So... Lucky you guys. :)

Also, dull black originally only had like three members, after the one Alpha Female killed off all but two of the rest of the pack.

If we Are a 1-4th gen raptor, we will have Had to have been born after the whole JP incident.

Incidentally, first generation raptors were All female, males came about due to the frog dna.

First generation were the most intelligent raptors, but also the most vicious and spiteful. Not to mention that Hamond apparently never employed animal behaviorists, because his first raptor pack was brought up in a cage, almost completely unsocialized.

Second Gen weren't as smart, but they could communicate better, and were far more communal.

Third gen came in different colors, and were both well socialized and capable of following orders. However, not much was shown about there intelligence. Duller than previous generations, they were however the most biddable of the lot, and easily tamed.

My theory here, we're a surviving Raptor of one of the later first gen experiments, while they were trying to work out what the hell was up with our insane intelligence level. Either that, or we're a first gen test baby born later in an effort to see if socialization of the super smart raptor variant would prove fruitful for InGen.

If we were born on Isla Nublar that would of been the case, but we are not. As seen on the map we are born on Isla Sorna, where there are two differing types of raptors on the island, which includes the Isla Nublar specimens.

So were a first generation attempt made After the actual first gen raptors?

Wait. Wait wait wait.

We're on Isla Sorna?

Oh what the hell, that island was never actually resecured like Isla Nublar was.

Wait, are we playing a Raptor from before Isla Sorna was abandoned? Or at some point During it getting abandoned?

Because they never actually say in the movies, but Isla Sorna suffered a catastrophe even Worse than Nublar, given the level of devestation and damage present on all the structures in the movie.

Whatever happens, we're all agreed to flee the Spinosauraus if it comes for us, right? Just checking.

And if we accidentally encounter it while we are hunting for food or something?

Logically, despite what the movies claim, there's no need for us to be worried. We're too small, fast and dangerous for it to want to tangle with us. If it chased us and we ran, it couldn't catch us, we're too small to be much of a meal, and even if it cornered us, we could hurt it. Probably not kill it, but injure it enough that it wouldn't bother. There are plenty of other dinos for it to munch on, or defenseless humans.

Actually, now I'm curious. How are guns going to work here? Do they just not work, full stop like the movies? Or are we putting that down to crappy aiming because of the fully justifiable terror of a ten ton dino charging them? If it's the first one, is the invulnerability magic dino skin, or something else, and most importantly, do we get it too, or is it just the big dinos. I want to know these things before we charge a scientist and get our brains blown out by the tiny pistol he had in his pocket.
