Wedding Bash pt.6
"I know where the Dark Elves have hidden the children of Khypris. They are held at sea on a great ship, trained to fight and to kill, and to be a trap for me. I'm going to rescue them, and I'd ask your aid in dealing with this matter."
Teclis is quick enough to agree, and then dives back into his books.
Before you can think of trying to speak with...anyone, really, an elf clad in the Phoenix King's colors appears, followed by three others. They have vice-like grips upon most of your children and their spouses; only Kurt seems to have avoided being handcuffed by the Elves, instead chatting animatedly with one of their sorcerers, whose hair is the color of sunlight and gold and who is dressed in white robes.
Time to face the music. You get up and march to where your kin by blood and law alike are standing, looking like hell.
The Elf looks to you, arching an eyebrow. You're not sure, but you believe he may be judging you. Just a suspicion, but it's rather similar to the look Carole used to give you when you were younger. "I believe these belong to you, Human?"
They look like they just got done somewhere between a war-zone and a tavern.
Annick is the least beaten out of all of them. Her wound is a relatively simple cut above her eye and a strike to the cheek that still weeps a bit of blood. Her armor is a wash, though; the griffon hide she had it made of has simply fallen apart under several strikes from someone with what must be monstrous strength.
Your son, on the other hand, looks like he just ran full force into a wall of gromril. He's missing one of his back teeth, has a black eye, and one of his hands is wrapped in a cast. The ponytail he used to have is, miraculously, still fine. Probably a secret from the elf sorceress that's been following him since the battle of the Borderlands.
Of course, your other kids have been struck too. Justine has a fat lip and a nasty new bruise by her eye, Charles has a wad of tissue or something of that nature shoved up his nose, Melisende has new cut over her hand-- though they do seem to be chatting animatedly as opposed to the awkwardness that had been so prevalent, and it's nice to see your son smiling as opposed to sitting, stand-offish, in the back-- and even Leliana, sweet, sweet, hasn't touched the training sword you gave her in years Leliana, has wounds and blood on her knuckles.
The only one who is clean of wound and blood alike is, surprisingly, Grègoire; but even he has lost something, for the rather expensive lute you got him as a wedding gift has been shattered into two pieces, likely on someone's body given the blood on it.
You simply walk over to your kin, look them in the eyes, and glare in general. They'll tell the truth soon enough, if you focus on one.
Who do you focus on?
