[X] "Philip, are you alright?"

What makes Titania think our grandkids will be any easier to exact revenge upon than the current generation? We aren't exactly getting weaker as the years pass.

So just how unkillable is Titania? Philip is a grail knight and we still have the cursed blade of evil doom. If we find her physical location could we solve the issue permanently?

She can be killed, there's always some way, but actually getting to her is rather difficult.

Mourning
Mourning

The rain falls. It is hard as a hundred hammer heads, and the chill bites into his flesh more bitterly than any monster.

Five graves.

One for the Duke, good father, dead at hand of Iron Orc.

One for mother, whose pure heart had given out in grief.

One for his brothers, slain by treacherous magic.

Each was near the other, marked by stones.

His sister's lived yet, each a thousand years older than last he had seen them. Alix and Jehanne. They deserved better.

Godfrey's arm was on his shoulder as a source of comfort, and even Annick, who had been so swift to mock, was marked by sympathy.

But it was not they he was surprised to see had some pity in their breast.

No, Bohemond was surprised when it was Phillip, the one-eyed Grail Knight and Duke, who looked him in the eye and laid a cloak over his shoulders.

"Son, I was older than you when my father was ripped from me, and I almost broke then and there. I can't imagine how you feel right now, but let me give you advice someone gave me:

Cry. Let the tears flow like rain. They do credit to the lost."

Bohemond listened.

Actually rereading the bit about the fae @Voikirium is there any reason on what Titania does? Is she like Drycha devoted to exterminating sentient life to preserve nature? Are the Court of Shadows simply sadists profiting of being immortals to steadily increase their ranks? Were they corrupted by being based in Troll Country?

She wants to destroy all life more advanced than basic animals for a variety of reasons, the most consistent of which being she wants to use their deaths to power a ritual to make Chaos Go and Stay Go for the rest of eternity.

That said, she's also just kind of an asshole.

Ah the Nagash/Malekith way to defeat Chaos. She would go swimmingly with the 40k Inquisition I bet

No matter. How hard can it be to convince a band of chilvarous obsessed nutcases that a Crusade or Errantry War against Troll Country is in order.

Bohemond
Born:1429

Your son's squire, a mace wielding warrior and hunter. Next year, he begins his tour of Errancy.
Traits:
Hunter: He's a Bastonnian. What did you expect? (+2 Martial, +1 Diplomacy)
Strong: He's a big fella. (+3 Martial, +1 Diplomacy)
Brave: "Come on you scaly green piece of shit! I'll make a mace out of your damn skull!" (+2 Martial)
Content: He's a very simple child, with very simple desires. Mostly, beating the shit out of things bigger than him. (-1 Intrigue)
Proud: Quality over quantity. He will not even slay foes he considers underneath him, instead stunning them with his mace.
Just: "I'll not have the man who would not fight for the least fight with the most." (+2 Stewardship, +1 Learning)
Young: He still has some growing to do. (-2 All stats for each year under age of majority)
Descended of Giles: The blood of the Uniter flows through him, and it bred true, as proven by deeds. He will not die until the Lady is well good and ready...or if some goblin strikes in a filthy ambush, of course. (+10 Health, More vulnerable to dramatically appropriate deaths, Easier to be called to quest.)
Wanderer: He plans to wander the Kingdom and beyond, slaying monsters and beasts. (+2 Diplomacy)
Knight Errant: Next year he sets out to begin his tour of Errancy. (1 in 6 chance of repelling shots as long as Piety stays above 10 and he prays before battle)

Stats:

Martial: 20+2+3+2-4= 27- You overstate very little when you say he might be the most dangerous man in Bretonnia, one day.
Piety: 20-4=16- He has faith; he leaped into his worship of the Lady sans fear.
Diplomacy: 15+1+1+2+2-4=17- He has natural charisma, shaped by your son into impeccable manners. Manners that will soon be tested traveling the breadth of the world.
Intrigue: 9-1-4=4- He's not bad, he's not good; he's just average. The problem, of course, is that plenty of sneaky, dishonorable bastards can run circles around average.
Learning: 8+1-4=5- He's not dumb; indeed, in so far as it relates to monsters, he's quite smart. He just has better things to do with his time.
Stewardship: 6+2-4=4- Now that he is the heir and his sister acts as regent until he has earned his spurs, he has decided that he will take a somewhat closer interest in running the Duchy; he will still leave most matters to trained administrators, but he will not shame his father by allowing injustice to dirty the dukedom.

This is Bohemond's stat sheet as he sets out to do cool shit on Errancy Tour.

On another note, I also finally gave you Chivalrous on your character sheet.

Because I apparently forgot to do that after the Branding. Christ.

Is 30 still the limit for mortal characters as in Ulthuan Quest? Because that means that guy will be one of the greatest warriors the world has ever known.

When it comes back from Errantry we should kit him with magic items and blessed relics and stay on his good side. Perhaps offer him the chance to hunt some big nasty beastie.

Let's say Morghur the Shadowglave or Titania.

It depends on how his pride shows itself. If he feels like he needs to earn his magic bling himself, then Philip should tell him of how he acquired Kalaibarn. If there's no issue? Godfrey should give him all the bling.

Nope, 40 is.

Bigger issue is that he's going for the Virtue of Heroism, meaning only one magic item, or at most two paired items, e.g. the Dragon-bone mace and the shield he will bear eventually.

The Green-Tide pt.9
The Green Tide Pt.9

You rise up, only to grip your ribs.

"Phillip, are you alright?"

He looks to you, a vacant, haunted expression carved on his face. "They're all dead."

"What?"

"Carole. Armistead. Rainier. Catherine. Half of my nephews and nieces, my own flesh and blood; what was once six is now three, and only one boy child remains. Poor Baron Rainier's only children, even now, have had to lead an exodus here."

"...How were Rainier's struck? Were not they safely in the bosom of a cleansed mountain?"

Even as you speak, a boy, new scarred on his cheek, rushes in, sword in one hand, shield in the other, fear etched on his face. "Uncle! Gtilla's wolves ride hard; it will not be but forte-night before they fall upon us, and there are at least score-thousand! What do we do?"

"We ride out and we meet them." Phillip lays a chaste kiss on your forehead. "I am not alright, love. But soon enough, I will be."

Then he grabs his magic sword and races from the room, armor jingling as he runs. Behind him, your nephew follows.

[] Get up. Get. UP! You will not be left behind again.
[] Rest. There is...little you can do, right now, and you trust your knight.

I should note that the numbers for your army are not quite correct, yet.
