[X] Time to bug out. You can very definitely outrun these chumps. Besides, the P-Man's probably noticed you've been gone for awhile, unless, like, something terrible is going down further into Montfort, and what're the odds of that?

I'm a little less sure of her ability to find help after outrunning them. They made it this far to a Ducal residence. Beyond the thought of just abandoning one to hobgoblins to defile (let alone why those assholes are all the way over here), it certainly does seem to indicate that shit is going down elsewhere.

[X] You've seen Home Alone, right? You're gonna do it like that, but probably with more dead people. Probably. Cause, you know, you like having a body to working with, as opposed to staying cooped up in this prison.

Sure it's tough on her body with crazy acrobatic moves but if she switches to trap focus, hopefully less so.

It's not been a residence of the Duke since the time of Sigismund, and it's still fairly far into the mountains.

Morgyan just saw it and thought "gee, I wonder if I should maybe prepare a bit of a safe-house and storage area for all the shit I've got but don't particularly want around the husbando and kids."

I kinda like the Marquess . She's crazy, but that just adds to the appeal.

Sister Sacha's Squamous Scourge of Nagaroth
"What do you get when you take someone, strip them of fear, fire, and honor, and leave only the cold, bitter hate they feel for each of you, Druchii? No, no-- it's not the Asur, the Asrai, or the Dwarfs, witch.

It's me."
-Sister Sacha of Aquitane

(Source)

Sister Sacha was once a Madamoiselle of the Lady, devoted to the precepts of honor, mercy, and goodness. She saved a hundred lives, then, servant of she of Grace and Honor, a noble lady of refinement and charity; virtue was her calling, and goodness, her nature.

Then the druchii came, and sacked the small village that Sacha called home. They took her, to the city of Klarond Kar, where hope dies and all is lost.

The Sister struggled, and struggled, and struggled to keep her faith-- ten long years in exile, captured by the foul Dark Elves.

Then one cold night, as the candles flickered and the lights grew dim and the earth froze, a cold breeze flickered throughout the small shack the Sister had. One by one, the lanterns, lamps and candles died, chilled; and the Sister prayed harder and harder to her Lady.

She was heard...but not by she of the Lake.

Khaine, God of Bloodshed, sent unto she who was Bretonnian an emissary; and all changed forever.

And in that moment, Sister Sacha was reborn under the gaze of the bloody handed god, shaped her, molded her. Gone was the voice of angels, the kindness of honor, the gentility of the Madamoiselles; and in there place was a blood-soaked avenger, dead upon dark shores and gifted the strength to slay. The only remnant of what once was, some whisper, is her face, cloaked under her helm-- it still bears the beauty it once had; or at least some say.

In one night of fire and blood and slaughter, much pleasing to the god of murder, Sister Sacha slew a bloody swathe throughout the city, escaping into the wilds with a hand-picked coterie of soldiers whom she deemed worthy.

Now Sister Sacha and her Squamous Band, so named for the blackened scale armor the average soldier bears-- each ripped from the corpse of a fallen druchii or through an attacked quarterhouse-- dedicate their lives and their entirety to the death of Druchii.

Fighting as a dark mockery of Bretonnia, they are a band of mounted warriors stone-backed by their foot-soldiers-- but where the lords of Bretonnia fight and die for honor, and with the laws of Chivalry, the dark soldiers of Sacha bear looted crossbows, poisons, cannons, and anything else that might be useful in her war against the Dark Elves, who took everything from her. Her freedom, if not her life is forfeit should she step once more on Bretonnian soil; but the odds of that are quite low.

None know how many souls fill the band-- for in the fighting and the death, who knows who escaped and who died in her flight from Klarond Kar? And that is assuming that none of the victims of the Druchii made their way to her band, an assumption few Dark Elves feel comfortable making.

Why would Khaine create a hero to destroy his chosen people? The Druchii are the only people who outright worship him in organized manner and well even if the great slaughter would be entertaining they should not equal years of sacrifice in Har Ganeth.

Khorne would be a better fit IMHO

She's basically meant to play the same role as Satan-- a judge and threat to his chosen people to test them. As for Khorne, I really want to avoid the "All problems are Chaos problems" problem and thus went for someone besides Chaos.

That said, you do have a point and I might, tonight, check and see if there are any besides Khorne who fit better.

(Assuming my Power Rangers marathon doesn't distract me)

Ulric is basically Odin so he would fit in the "vengeance at any cost" thing as long as she is not using too much cunning.

What about Solkan? The Deity of Law, war and vengeance worshipped by witch hunters? Seems to me he would fit better than Khaine.

To be fair, Khaine annointing a hero opposed to the Dark Elves makes perfect sense from a 'might makes right' perspective; if the Druchii can't even overcome a human, then they were not worthy of his blessings in the first place.

The problem with that is she and her followers alike use crossbows, guns, poisons, etc.

None of which are particularly popular with Ulric.

That said, there is a simple solution:

I could just...fluff up a Bretonnian equivalent to Khaine, backstabbing-murder-bullshit included.

If you guys are alright with that, that is.

Again Solkan the avenger fits your bill perfectly.

A Bretonnian pantheon would be nice but it's the mythology enthusiast in me who finds extra-weird Bretonnians are monotheists or near it in a polytheist setting.

That and the Lady just passes the Goddess-of-everything test, she does much better than Sigmar mind you.

Mind you, it wouldn't exactly be a Bretonnian Pantheon; more the bunch of assholes the Bretonni tribes worshiped before the Lady set them straight, and on the path of the kingdom of Bretonnia.
