The Witch Doctor pick is obvious and we are going to be fighting a lot so +Martial and will saves are a good idea.

is there any particular reason the Witch Doctor trait gives bonuses to Intrigue instead of Piety? I mean it does seem to be the next best thing to a priest in traditional Troll society.

Eh, good point. I'll fiddle about with it all.

Also, no, you have Priests of the Loa. They've just fallen to the wayside a bit due to the whole Loa are sort of peeved that all the trolls are focused on running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Ah so the Witch Doctors are closer to alchemists and mages in that sense. Would we need to recapture the original worship sites to even start appeasing the Loa?
 
I love the idea of an Architect/Witch Doctor. Not only do we make sturdy and reliable structures faster and cheaper than any of the other splinters of our once glorious empire, we make the fanciest altars to the Loa. There's also that part about being a powerful spiritual leader in times when the Loa have abandoned our people to fix their own mistakes. That makes us valuable, to say nothing of the not inconsiderable power of a Witch Doctor.

Of course. It's been centuries since then. Centuries of watching as the Empire collapsed like a house of cards, if each card was a tribe that had been subordinate to the Gurubashi getting uppity, attacking one another, and staking out various settlements for themselves while slowly whittling away at the trolls who were desperately trying to hold everything together i.e. you

Well Architect and Witch Doctor seem to be winning. Though how we personally fight should be interesting as there is no such thing as a non combatant troll. Probably relay a lot on trickery, sneaking and alchemy/magic.

Of course if and when we get the worship sites repaired and the Loa happy again we'll have some friends on the other side to round out our repertoire.
 
Something to note. Attractive gets us Better Spouse Choices in addition to the better relations. Any warcraft lore people know whether physical manifestations of the Loa ever happen. Because if so I'd like to be on the path to getting demigod babies.

EDIT: In light of recent revelations, aka Loa CAN physically manifest. (Thanks Xicree)

They have.

Some of the 'loa' are ALSO known demigods like the wolf ancient 'Goldrin' who is also known as 'La'gosh'.

And 'Bron Samdi' who manifests as a troll directly. (He's death itself.)
 
Not as far as I know. The only physical manifestations that I can recall are when the drakkari went crazy and started sacrificing theirs in a desperate attempt to stave off the scourge.
