I'm not opposed to the trolls, but could someone explain to me why everyone seems to really want them?

I'd be happy to change my vote if you can convince me. I'm a little worried about the whole voodoo and gods thing.

For me it was a choice between them and Blackrock. I chose the Trolls because aside from the whole Soulflayer mess they never seemed to have problems relating to corruption from outside forces be they demons or Old Gods.
 
Trolls only have issues with that stuff when they A: Try and kill the Loa to take the power for themselves, B: Piss off the Loa, C: Start doing Voodoo on each other, or D: A combination of the first three.
 
A bit of advice people if a shadow hunter appears and tells us the path we're taking will bring us ruin we should concider his words. As shown in the book "The shadow of the Horde" much of the decline of the troll empire could've been averted if they had just listened to the shadow hunters.
