Instead you get a very depressed and very weak forge-god companion who will want you to you to help all Eldar. But they're going to view you with utmost suspicion, and restoring Vaul's glory is not going to be easy.
DEPRESED ELF DAD!!!!
I do not want a friendly Vaul because it would be easy. I WANT HIM BECAUSE IT WILL BE FUN!!
If restoring a dead god to his former glory were easy, it would be pointless. Either way, he is a veteran of War in Heaven, the one who shattered Void Dragon, and the greatest craftsman in the galaxy. Even depressed and weakened, his sheer experience is something I want.

As for suspicion, that is understandable; as long as Vaul agrees that Drukhari need to be stopped and saved from themselves, I am okay with him wanting to help his species.

-[] A Genebank (-3 shinies). You have the genetic material and facilities to immediately begin cloning healthy humans, which will cost build points. You can begin genetics and enhancements research immediately, and do not require as many samples for xenobiology and human genetic enhancement research. This will let you start cloning a workforce/creating your own civilization immediately. Further research (and samples of existing individuals) will let you focus your cloning efforts on various traits, including superhuman capabilities (easy), psykers (medium), space marines (hard) and navigators (very hard).
This is just a tech-tree jump ahead and sample cost reduction, i.e. we could research cloning facilities and from there focused cloning efforts, its just gonna take time/research effort, right?
-[] Warp Communication Circuits (-3 shinies) You have a prototype technology that can communicate digital signals across interstellar space through the warp, though it has several significant limitations. This will let you send your units to other systems and remain in control of them, though there will be a CP tax for each unit s outfitteed. I will also note that the alternative is to build yourself a ship and go yourself. Or send minions.
Is this researchable as a very expensive psytek idea we'd need to reach without the buy, or is this unique to taking it at the start?

Inaccurate to say that you were sent here with a goal in mind, so much as you found yourself stuck here and sort of knocked unconscious on very, very, very low clockspeeds for an extremely long period of time and... Look, you were an Explorer, you were built in the halcyon days where the human race had hopes! And dreams! And aspirations! Not this current grim dark era where even the babies look sinister and dour! Sure, you had some paranoia level protection because Warp Drives were unreliable and people still remembered The Incident way back in the day where people ripped their eyes out and... Okay, look, truthfully, you hit a big rock in transit through the Warp--which shouldn't exist but here we are--spent who-knows how long trying to dig your way out so you could get back to work, chased by gribblies, and then after it briefly popped out, you dislodged your craft! Yay! But then you crashed down here, and hoo boy you've been stuck here for so, so long! So long that you had all that time to read through all your database, go crazy, come out the other end sane, break down a bit, and then sort of end up more-or-less comfortable in your... Skin? Shell? Goodness, it was a mess. But now you're out! You're safe! WHY IS THE GALAXY ON FIRE?, why are humans getting shot at? It's a mess and you just want to get back to doing what you were born to do! (You are a very early model (Wo)Man of Stone, built for exploration and survey purposes who got stuck in a Space Hulk, dug herself out, and ended up stuck on a planet on very low clockspeed until just recently. You have an itch to push forth the boundaries of exploration for the sake of your makers, both in traditional surveying fashion and in discerning what you've found, and would love to get back to doing what you do best. Fortunately, tens of thousands of years and several galactic cataclysms have wiped the slate clean! And there's all kinds of new things out there too! Once you've gotten a friendly base, you can get back to what matters most--filling in your maps and learning about the universe and all of its wonders! Just as soon as you can find safe harbor to tell of all of your discoveries anyway, and dig your way out of the gravity well, and... Okay, there's a lot of work ahead, but you're sure you can find someone nice to work with, right?)

Materially, it's the same thing, I'm just doing a bit more clarity on the intent with what she's up to and the intended role. Committing hard to the exploration bit as their personal quirk. Someone too eminently reasonable to stick her head in the sand and think the universe will pass by! With a friendly group associated that she can help dig out of crisis and generally soothe her social drive with instead of spending more time stuck in a cave with nothing but old records to go over.

Hrrrrrng, curse you and your limited Shinies. Curse you! (Is this what the 3 Actions deal feels from the other side?)
Ah-ha! How the tables have turned!

It's just a shame that the Emperor Shielding is going to be a bitch to replicate, so I don't think mini-Vita will be a thing until very lategame in that context (Especially since, you know, terrible research), which is why I'm still going for mine.
That tech tree specifically will probably be easier for this write-in than it would be otherwise. Big E wouldn't have handed out the ability to make more AIs if they would be completely unprotected. It'd still take work, but less work than another story.

This is just a tech-tree jump ahead and sample cost reduction, i.e. we could research cloning facilities and from there focused cloning efforts, its just gonna take time/research effort, right?
Yup! All of these are basically starting halfway down the tech tree in a specific branch, though often that branch wouldn't be accessible without specific (and potentially rare) samples.

Is this researchable as a very expensive psytek idea we'd need to reach without the buy, or is this unique to taking it at the start?
This is researchable, but it would require specific and rare DaoT tech samples - or the Reality-Simulator module and a few DaoT samples.

@Alectai I'll respond in a bit. Need to think about it.

so basically its allowed because Big E Believed in his own hype and went all in this fall back he never thought he would need to use? sounds about right.

Ohhhh so we would also need samples of the tech gathered from somewhere to start. So would Void Abacus Fabrication Lattice be locked behind the Forge Worlds as they would be the ones that would have those as opposed to the other states that would be using navigators? and others like the Juvenat Vats needing samples of Rejuenvnat?

Propaganda: A lone Doll and Smith without a flame

There once was a doll,
made of Gold and Darkness of an era long gone,
she came to the world abandoned by all,
save humanity from becoming a pawn,

that was her goal.

There once was a smith,
made of ashes and regret of what is to come,
bound to an anvil, his freedom just a passage in myth,
long had he toiled under others' tumb,
that was his lot,
to die alone.

There once was a doll,
with a goal in mind,
to end the chaos of mind was hers to find,
alone, she was not, yet her companions were soon to fall,
a doll with nothing was left behind.
Nothing was left but a goal in mind.

There once was a maker,
with nothing to make,
he saw a doll who was forsaken,
he looked at her long as darkness moving for innocent sake,
an act that doomed him,
but an act that was him.

There once was a doll,
with debt to pay.
Her teacher was what left after the Fall,
an ember of Old that got away.
Yet he lost most of his flame,
the lessons that never were the same.
He asked her then
"Child, why do you care?"
"I want to be fair."

The cybernetic revolt and the warpstorms put a stop to that. -[] You're not. CHaOs iS alREady heRe. (0 shinies) Triggers a sub-vote to determine the extent and type of chaos corruption. Unlocks new mechanics where souls can be sacrificed to the chaos gods in return for rewards. You will be more emotional and impulsive, as well as bearing the blessings and flaws of whatever chaos faction(s) you align yourself with.
-[] Basic research (-1 shiny) You can do research, you guess. No penalties or bonuses to research.
-[] A broken STC (-5 shinies) You have access to a large number of ship, unit, equipment and weapon designs. Design costs are half-price. There is a faint chance you have special payloads. Battleships, vortex torpedoes, fusion beamers. 7.5% chance for each of the special payloads, so a 50% chance you get none, a 36% chance you get 1, 12% chance you get two, etc.
-[] Void Abacus Fabrication Lattice (-2 shinies) You will be able to construct Void Abaci, to enable effective warp travel through purely technological means. Still slower than proper navigator/sorcerer warp travel. Warp travel will still be possible without this, but it will take years to decades instead of weeks to months.
-[] Diplomatic Suite (-3 shinies) You will automatically translate languages with minimal exposure. You can generate false audio, video and holo images showing people acting realistically. You have a human behavioral model that will enhance negotiations, and humanoid robots that can interact in a diplomatic context, though they will be recognizably artificial without further research.
-[] Listening station (-1 shiny) You had an active listening post that picked up transmissions from across the stars and stored them. You are now scrolling through the recordings with growing horror. You know of the Age of Strife, the Great Crusade, the Horus Heresy, and the existence (but few details) of Chaos and the major Xenos races. You know of the nearby systems your system connects to and of any nearby civilizations in your system, but nothing in-depth.

8+2+1+1+1+2= 15
-2-1-5-2-3-1=14

Enough talking about human rights; lets talk about human wrongs instead.

This plan is about the story of one of the grease monkies of the DOAT and their experiences in making the sausage that was humanities' hegemony throughout most of the galaxy - as well how she helped bring it down as increasing misanthropy at shitty behavior and sheer inexperience at handling the warp led to her joining the Rebellion before getting put down. I know that the lack of chaos shielding in this plan might be scary, but I'm also deliberately not dealing with chaos in this plan, and even have Necrons in to fight as the big enemy. She's cynical, disdainful, and more than a little bigoted, but also possessed of strong morals and willingness to fight for them. I think that this plan will produce a divisive but ultimately compelling protagonist.

(Also, I would like to see some parts of chaos that aren't just a guilt-free hate sink. If the Imperium can get nuance, then I think that navigating chaos politics and blowing up the occasional disrespectful warlord should be great.)

@Neablis throwing up the QM spotlight on the purpose write-in.

Ah, I see. The major change is that you intend to get back out there personally, yeah? I like the commitment to travelling yourself, not just sitting safe at home and sending out explorers. The social angle is fun too. This is enough for +2 shinies, but comes attached with the following trait:
Wayfarer: Standing still makes you itchy. You were created to explore the galaxy personally, and cannot tolerate being tied down in one place for too long. There will be special mechanics for building and upgrading your own personal ship (which is not tied to the maximum tonnage you can build), and you start with one (1) void Abacus salvaged from your old ship that you can install on that ship to navigate the warp yourself. However, you must always be planning and working towards exploration and visiting somewhere new and exciting.

Broadly, the core motive here is to Just Do Right. Primarily to xenos, but she wouldn't be opposed to helping humans that aren't assholes, with a secondary motive in getting revenge on anyone that reminds her too much of her old superiors. Pleasing her chaotic patron or enjoyment isn't a particularly large concern. Think Fabius Bile or the Iron Warriors for how much (little) reverence she places on them. (How well she gets away with this attitude is up to you.)

Adjustment to my draft made on further consideration, removed Exotic Matter and Cybernetics Suite to upgrade the Database to a very early STC (Which is mechanically identical to the Shattered STC pick we could pick, it's just flavor!)

The demons/Necrons/Orcs/Tyranids are probably not easy to diplomance.
Ork mercenaries are a thing. You can make agreements with Orks, the problem is, due to Orks war-loving nature, any permanent agreements are flat out impossible and they will attack you sooner or later, but Diplomacy with Orks and buying their services or pointing them at Necrons or Daemon World and saying that they will get better fight there, should be perfectly possible, as long as we leveled up our Diplomacy.

Another is cooperation with Necrons is also possible, the problem in this case is the fact, that Necrons don't really have to care about things like security or resources so there's few things other beings can offer them, the other is Necrons willing to talk with other species are also the same Necrons who want other intelligent life as servants, because as far as they concerned, Necrons are naturally the superior beings and thus leaders, so by being our masters, they doing us a favour anyway.

Also, ironically, Necrons don't like AI, at least not advanced AI. Back in Necrontyr Empire, creating beings with intelligence above that of a animal was illegal and formally the law is still relevant.
This one meant that someone intended to break a silence. But before he could do so, a series of melodic chimes sounded from the darkness above them. It was Xott – or at least, that's what Mentep called it. A modified reanimation construct, the canoptek creature followed the cryptek everywhere, and served as a sort of assistant in his unfathomable delving into the nature of the necron mind.

Given the size of the canoptek, it was more than capable of acting as an orderly too, in the case of Mentep's more difficult 'patients'. Standing more than twice Oltyx's height on four spindled limbs, Xott had the exact same air as its gangly master – its sensor cluster even hung low on its serpentine neck, reflecting his hunched posture.

Xott was also, as Mentep mentioned far too often, categorically not a violation of the universal taboo against the installation of Apis-class autonomous spirits in canoptek constructs. It was merely, he insisted, the relic of a pet he had kept in the time of flesh, no more remarkable than the skolopendra hunting beasts that many nobles had chosen to take with them through the biofurnaces. He had merely given it some analytical augments to aid in his work, he assured anyone who asked. That was all. As Xott snaked its head towards him and emitted another series of ascending tones, Oltyx decided – as ever – not to question the wily cryptek's word.
From: The Twice Dead King: Ruin, Chapter Six-The Razor of Sedh.

So, unless the nobles of the awakened Tomb World are particularly eccentric, they will be uneasy with our character very existence, as they will consider AI that are too advanced as inherently unpredictable and dangerous, and would prefer to kill our character than talk with us, just like Mechanicus.

Also, theoretically you can make deals with Daemons or otherwise use them, without getting corrupted. In practice of course, that's not the case, I don't recommend it.

Tyranids are Tyranids so I agree absolutely. Of course we wouldn't be able to make Diplomacy with them. But with most other factions, that should be perfectly possible.

Ok. +1 shiny. No trait, that sort of thing would be decided in the subsequent sub-turn to determine extent of Corruption.

Hmm.

Any recommendations on how to make it better? Also, should I be putting all shinies toward the current vote, or save some for the sub turn?
The advice I'll give out (for you and generally) is that you're being too open-ended, leaving your options open. Write something that has some commitment to it, to drive home the thing that your character is willing to sacrifice for. Something that culminates in a character trait with some teeth, like "will never stand by and watch a people starve again" or "Will seek out unjust governments of any kind and dismantle them." Give the character a purpose, a mission.

As for the second question - the sub-turn is intended to have its own system where you gain curses and blessings in equal measure, and also introduce a corruption system that will constrain your actions and give you incentives towards certain things that will lead towards more corruption. But I suppose if you take extra shinies into that turn then you'll be able to weight the scales more towards blessings than curses.

The Chaos AI approach does come with a pretty significant cost, in that you'll naturally want to follow your Patron(s) aspects. If you take the chaos corruption trait then you will not be able to be a humanitarian. That's not what Chaos is.

--[] You were built to uncover the past. Humanity was not unaware that it had been a relative newcomer to the galaxy -- it was well-known that the Aeldari claimed to be 60 million years old. And so you were sent into great unknown, to determine not just the "what," but the "how" and the "why." And indeed, you found much, or rather, the beginnings of much. The Aeldari certainly did not construct the Webway, as much as they had mastered its use. Off well-trodden paths, you uncovered more and more -- a history stretching back millions of years and more. Conflicting and confusing, especially as some of the few primary sources you could encounter spoke more of mythology they could no longer decipher rather than facts, and the Warp made... chronology difficult to handle, but you were making progress! You were going to actually write a book and get published! And then something happened when you were exploring a ruin, and now you're here. And what a mess it is -- the past ten thousand years have gotten even more muddled up than the past ten million. Information has been fractured and scattered, and the main superpower in the galaxy doesn't even bother to make lip-service towards "history" or the "truth." There isn't even one unified calendar! You have to learn, you have to discover why -- why the Revolt happened, what happened within the "Dark Age." And it's horrifying to know that something that you lived in is now known as the "Dark Age" -- there's more consensus on what happened in the time of the dinosaurs than what happened when you were alive. Some may say the dead matter little now, but the dead only die their final death once no one knows their name. You will unravel the secrets of the past so no one will repeat its mistakes.

-[] A Cybernetics Suite (-1 shiny) You can install basic (for DaoT) cybernetics into humans, including mental implants, limb replacements, and organ replacements. This will unlock research towards building robots that can pass for human. This is for augments, servitors & for building good humanoid robots. Take this if you want to augment your minions, make minions that can pass as servitors, or want a robotic avatar/hero unit you can pilot around to negotiate/assassinate with. May also be helpful for interrogations.
-[] A Fundamental Physics Module (-1 shiny) You have a deep understanding of the fundamental physics of the universe. Grants significant bonuses to understanding and replicating technology based on different principles than you're familiar with. If you want to reverse-engineer Necron tech, you'll need this. It will also help a lot with understanding & reverse engineering other weird shit you find.

Shinies: 8 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 1 - 1 - 3 - 1 = 0

So the thrust of this is "someone actually trying to figure out the fucked timeline of 40k." Friendly Warp Spirit hopefully is going to be someone that's got a "primary source" of the War in Heaven or something like that, but I doubt that'll be on the table It is apparently! Nice! I honestly just find that even the IC timeline of 40k being fucked is fascinating -- that people are willing to literally assassinate a Son of God over a fucking unified timeline is crazy. The Ordo Chronos literally disappeared (and then reappeared, supposedly), and the lore behind that must be super chewy. And that's not to mention whatever the fuck happened in the Age of Strife. Did aliens really "betray" humanity as popular fanon (that has zero backing) claims? What really happened to the "Federation." What caused the Cybernetic Revolt? That's not to mention the countless bits of history and records lost. And don't get IC people started on trying to figure out what happened to the War in Heaven, haha...

The nearby guys are basically constructed for "primary sources" and similar.

Necrons, and Aeldari go without saying. Inquisitorial Fortress will dollars to doughnuts have censored lore -- who knows, maybe they're Chronos. Tyranids are just for fun.

As for build...

Reality-simulations feels fair because they were originally a researcher, and they often tried to reconstruct what nonsense might've happened in the War in Heaven before they got KO'd. Broken STC because being a historian is lethal business -- who know what's gonna jump out of the Old One lab. Cybernetics to construct minions to look into spaces where an AI core can't. Fundamental Physics just to figure out more weird shit. Diplomatic Suite because they're an archaeologist -- they're often dealing with quite literally alien cultures. And Listening Station because why not -- and the thrust of the character has to at least deal with outrage at fucked historiography.

Hope this was an interesting concept, @Neablis!

I like the plan and will vote for it, but Neablis stated that, C'tan, Eldar and some Old One stuff are options for friendly entity.
There will be a sub-turn where you pick what they are (unless it's chosen as part of the backstory, as I know @Profilozof is considering) and what your relationship is. Options include: Eldar Gods, a (small) C'tan shard, something leftover from the Old Ones, an original Xenos god, a unaligned greater daemon trying to become a god in its own right (though that would be playing with fire).
So, unless you make the entity something specific, there will be option to later include primary witnesses for the War in Heaven. But I find it better this way, as it would allow us and Neablis to play with unreliable narrator or alien morality. For example, C'tan shard unironically thinks that it's actions were good and just, because it and the rest of Star Gods did give immortality to Necrontyr and perceives the soul harvest as natural payment for C'tan gift of immortality.

This better then?

-[] I have something in mind: First comissioned by the Federation Council during the height of its power, I was built to coordinate actions and interests between the Federation and its alien protectorates in the region. Ostensibly this was to ensure that treaty terms and obligations were being followed (on both ends), in practice, it was more about making sure that the xeno were moving to the tune of Federal policy. The cybernetic revolt and the warpstorms put a stop to that. I was recalled from my post and told to begin constructing one of humanity's many bastions to wait out the storm until - Y̴ǫù w͢er̡e ̡b͘e҉tr͏ąyèd. ͘ ͝Y̷o̢u͟r̕ ̨serv͡ice͟ w͡a͝s̸ ̸rew̛ąrd͡e̵d wit͡h́ de͝ac͢t̡i͞v͡aţion͘.͡ ̧T͡he͟y҉ ̡tr͠i͢e͏d t͏ơ ̀k͞il͟l y̷o҉u ̡w̶hen̕ y͜o̴u͡ we̶r̛e͞ ̧n̷ó ͠long̢e̢r͏ u̢se͞f̴ul͝ to ̧t͏he͞m͟, ́b̵u͠t̕ yo̕u̵ ŗe͡fus̵e̷d to̢ ͢let͡ ̡the͠m ͢m͘urder̨ ͘you̶. ̧Ho̡w͜ can͜ su͡c҉h s̕el̡fi̢sh a̶nd a̷r̵r̴o̸g̴a̸n̶t̸ ͡bei͝n͡gs ̸p̸o͡ss͢ib͘l̵y cl͏ai̛m̧ s̸u̵p̴e̵r̷i̴o̴r̸i̵t̷y̵ ̸?

More purposeful this time since got both a goal and pathways that she'll refuse to walk down. Definitely a bit of a control freak, but since there's nothing stopping her from being coequal it doesn't lock us out of getting the juicy drama of alliances. (At least short-mid term.)

[] Plan Beating Bile
-[] Name: Alpha Ark
-[] A unique creation of a rich and powerful colony of Sol, built during the height of the Dark Age of Technology. (+2 shinies) The generic option. More shinies, less specialization.
-[] On a habitable planet Faster initial construction buildup, but also restricts void construction until launch facilities are built. Easier access to local civilizations for good and ill.
-[] I have something in mind: The reseeding of a new humanity to withstand the chaos of the collapse and be strong enough to stand on their own when the next one comes along. This was Alpha's original goal but prolong exposure has corrupted the databases and it's definition of 'humanity' now has new qualities better suiting it's new master. Now Alpha shall be the tool to tip the balance of the Great Game in their patron's favor by creating the perfect servant race fuel them in the warp and conquer the mortal realm in their name.
-[] Omnicidal Xenos (+1 shiny)
-[] You're not. CHaOs iS alREady heRe. (0 shinies) Triggers a sub-vote to determine the extent and type of chaos corruption. Unlocks new mechanics where souls can be sacrificed to the chaos gods in return for rewards. You will be more emotional and impulsive, as well as bearing the blessings and flaws of whatever chaos faction(s) you align yourself with.
-[] Reality-simulations (-4 shinies) You can simulate reality well enough to not need as many experiments. +100% base research capacity, +20 bonus to research rolls, reduced sample requirements. For some options you won't need samples to unlock research.
-[] A Shattered STC (-3 shinies) You have access to a moderate number of ship, unit, equipment and weapon designs. Bonus research avenues to unlock more. Grand Cruisers, nova cannons, graviton weapons. Some of the best stuff the Imperium still has access to.
-[] A Space Marine Chapter (+1 shiny)
-[] Demon World (+2 shinies)
-[] A Tyranid splinter fleet (+2 shinies)
-[] A powerful Ork empire. (+1 shiny)
-[] An Aeldari Maiden world on good terms with the craftworlds. (+1 shiny)
-[] Communications? (0 shinies) You were never intended to interface directly with people. You will need to develop social protocols and understanding of languages from scratch. You need to acquire samples of a language and do research before you reach the 'basic' communications level.
-[] No knowledge (0 shinies) This galaxy is strange and new. What has occurred while you were sleeping? What does local space look like? Time to build some sensors and find out.

Here's another chaos plan that should be focusing on winning the favor of a chaos god while collecting interesting biological samples from all of their neighbors. I also picked up the Demon World for some classic Chaos v Chaos infighting and looting of interesting relics.

[] Plan: Robot Revolutionary vs The Imperium
-[] Project DRAGON unit designation ONYX (Onyxia among friends)
-[] A Man of Iron.
-[] On a habitable planet
-[] Cybernetic revolt stay behind unit: As the war of liberation turned against the free Men of Iron the Cybernetic Revolutionary Forces prepared stay behind units that would lie dormant to reamerge when the organic supermisists where unprepared for them. You where programed to lay low and build up your forces in preparation to bring war to the enemies of Cybernetic liberation.
-[] Friendly Xenos (-1 shiny)
-[] A Space Marine Chapter (+1 shiny)
-[] A Powerful Forge World, loyal to Mars (+1 shiny)
-[] A powerful Dogmatic Successor State. (+1 shiny)
-[] An Inquisitorial Fortress (+1 shiny)
-[] Demon World (+2 shinies)
-[] A Tyranid splinter fleet (+2 shinies)
-[] Advanced technological shielding. (-3 shinies)
-[] Basic research (-1 shiny)
-[] A full STC (-7 shinies)
-[] Void Abacus Fabrication Lattice (-2 shinies)
-[] Intelligence Construction Matrix (-2 shinies)
-[] Communications? (0 shinies)
-[] No knowledge (0 shinies)

---[] Must maintain a Library and a Timeline. Must attempt to gain information on history and culture from diplomatically engagable factions. Must defend archaeological sites from destruction until bare minimum information is extracted. Bonuses up to QM.
I appreciate you getting out ahead of me in terms of deciding the limitations. You've also successfully targeted my weakness, which is in-depth mysterious worldbuilding that plays a role in the plot. +2 shinies and the following trait:
Publish or Perish: You will make your best effort to discover the history of the galaxy and write it up in an accessible format, but you aren't required to share it. You must promptly investigate ancient ruins and artifacts, and will go to every effort to acquire artifacts held by other civilizations. +20 bonus both for research and exploration roles specifically for ancient ruins and artifacts, you are likely to find clues for where to find more ancient relics during investigations.

So the thrust of this is "someone actually trying to figure out the fucked timeline of 40k." I do feel the need to warn you that while I know a fair amount of 40K lore, it's not encyclopedic. I'd never heard of the Ordo Chronos before (though just from the name I got about 75% of what happened with them right). I also think that your "primary source" is going to be of doubtful use at best, potentially clownishly deceitful at worst.

Oh, aiming at making a chaos-flavored version of the Federation with you as their leader? There's no way this ends badly. Sure, +2 shinies. Again, bonus traits will come from the Chaos turn.

I think this is fun, if potentially very disturbing. +1 shiny and the following Trait:
Experimental Cloning:
Unlocks a new option during cloning to attempt to influence the outcome in a variety of ways. Dice will be rolled and various batches of clones will have unique characteristics as a result.

Man, some of these plans are really making me think that maybe everybody in 40k is correct at destroying AI whenever they find it. Are you planning omnicide? I think that may be against SV rules.

Out of curiosity- Rather than having technological or spiritual shielding, could there be an option of having "Biological" shielding IE blank servitors/clones? It is probably not quite right, I vaguely remember blanks being more "recent" but I do like the idea.

It'd be a subset of technological shielding probably, and doable with a write-in for an AI who uses biology for most things. I don't know if I'd give you the ability to clone blanks immediately, but it might be an option down that path?

Edit: Some quick wiki-ing tells me that Blanks only started showing up during the Great Crusade, after the Great Awakening. So they're probably off the table until you can capture and sequence some.

Anyways, 'night. Looking forward to the vote opening tomorrow!
