Since Marie is about the same age that I was when I got into Friendship is Magic, I'm willing to say she'd be into it, even if it's maybe in that "I guess it's okay for a little kid show" way that you see with some kids.

She'll definitely know a lot of people will want her dead cause of the Skullheart, but she'll definitely be interested in any characters we mentioned.
Yeah maybe some shorter music or some clips, cause she is from a time that isn't like our modern one.

As for the matter of characters, I think i fgound some promising candidates, both from soul calibur. The first one is Algol, the original wileder of Soul edge, he is one who is inmune to Soul Edge corruption, being able to wield it without an issue. He had such a force of will that he was able to overwhelm the cursed sword.

The second option surprisingly is Pyrrha from Soul Calibur V i Believe, she was one of the host of soul edge and for most of the game, was affected and controlled by the sword, but at the end of the game, her love for her brother and her desire to protect him made her able to resist the sword long enouhg to be able to shatter it.

First one is bascially a straight badass who no sold the mcguffin, while the second one is a person who fell and was consumed by the evil sword for most of the time, but at the end, was able to find soemthing she hold dear that was in danger and pulled enough strenght of will to stand against soul edge and rebel in order to destroy it and safe her remaining family.

Oh yeah we need to get that gem…specially before Ms fortunes steals it. If canon holds enough, and we can trust the webcomic, her gang only steals the gem once Marie fails her first attempt at killing Lorenzo so as libras we have Marie act fast we should be fine.

I would be sad to see Ms Fortunes die, so hopefully if Lorenzo, his son and Black Dahlia are killed the Medici family will be to hopeless to try and kill her and her family.

Can we show her live action things? Cause if so, El Chapulín Colorado and El Chavo del 8 would be my biggest recommendations.
Does the Sonic the Fighters game count? Cause Nack's cork gun could be a good non lethal weapon for Marie.
Also Sonic is likewise immune to soul/mind corruption by virtue of being built different, and that's Canon, if he doesn't want to be corrupted, he ain't gonna be.

Sonic fighters would count, but only OG characters that appeared for a first itme on that game, Sonic and his gang are platformers/other game so they wouldn't count.
So far, Marie can get abilitirs from characters that have appeared first on any fighting game, as long as that rule holds any powers or abilities should be fair game to give her.

Darn, so no cork gun then, funnily enough that does leave one character who's abilities she could have from that game.
Bean the Dynamite, Crazy ass woodpecker has the ability to spawn bombs from nowhere, could be useful if we want to demolish a building or cause huge amounts of damage, the only limit is how fast can Marie throw the bombs.

What we are looking for right now as a high priority is the corruption resistance stuff as Marie already has access to a corruptive artefact of great power implanted in her. Any characters in that vein would be immensely helpful, as we are already late to the party, as it were.
Another thing that would be useful would be investigative skills or abilities, whether it be divination magic, pure skill or other. Marie is coming in as the ignorant outsider into the mob controlled city of intrigue.

True, I'm thinking some characters of Soul Calibur would be what we are looking for, the soul edge is as corruptive or even more than The skull heart.
Well Qm said that we could give her Chun li's investigator skills, in exchange if locking her out of getting any other skill from her. I'm fine with that, Marie needs any boon possible.
Sounds like a good idea, if no one else wants to do a small description I can give it a shot later.

We'll probably need to tell her that some of them are covers to other songs.
Well at least it will be easier for Marie to learn some new moves from the other fighters.
