New suit makes Lancelot obsolete. Frankenmoe is just better right now.
What part of the new suit makes Lancelot obsolete?

The only thing I can see is the Star-gather boost, but increasing a Berserker's by 1000% only make them about Saber level weight. Not enough that you can really count on critting with it unless every other servant is a Berserker. Lancelot should still be the go to if you want to actually land crits with a Berserker.

(note that I do not actually have Frankenstein, so I might be missing something obvious)

I can crit pretty reliably with Herc, so I can only imagine that having ten times better star concentration rate would make things easier.

Really, Lancelot suffers from the same problem Gilgamesh does - being balanced around Quick being shit.

The 10 Gacha gave me Lancelot, which puts me at a small dilemma. I already have Tamamo Cat, and is leveled up quite a bit, but I heard that Lancelot is also quite good. Should I keep Tamamo Cat as my main Berserker or should I start pouring all my Berserker EXP into Lancelot?

...You know game, you could give me something other than Berserkers. I already have quite a bit, and a few of them already have their NP Upgraded.

Also, I thought Saint Martha or Romulus would be the first Servants I ascended, but that spot actually went to Medea.
I have Lancelot on two accounts and Tamamo Cat on all three, and on one of these both are at NP2, so trust me to give you a well-informed opinion.

Lancelot is too fragile to field normally so you either need to pair him with a good taunt tank as a bodyguard or to just use him as a two-turn burst damage wonder. Alas, due to his low NP gain rate, the latter is only viable with a Kaleidoscope, an ascended Hollow Magic, or Waver on the team.

Tamamo Cat, on the other hand, is great all around, especially after her NP upgrade interlude. She has very good NP gain rate for her class and sports an attack buff and a defense buff. If Witchcraft increased her NP gauge a bit, she would be pretty much the perfect survivalist Berserker in my opinion. The only significant downside I can note is her reverse-S growth curve, which kind of necessitates leveling her all the way to 80, whereas Lancelot comes pretty close to his maximum output in mid-60s. But while that would have been a factor when the game had just been launched, by now EXP is easy enough to come by to not pay any attention whatsoever to it.

Overall, until Lancelot gets an NP upgrade interlude at least (but preferably also a third skill), there is no reason whatsoever to raise him over Tamamo Cat.

Here's a question. Should I wait until the event proper to spend my quartz and summon tickets?
Yes. The only reason why anyone would roll now is trying to get Gil specifically, since he isn't available in the normal Gacha.

So there's a meme that if you roll after a Super Success, this somehow effects the odds. I figured I might as well try it out.

I now have my first 5*: Waver. I will never doubt the power of memes again.

Congratulations! Waver is pretty much F/GO's god of support. Have fun raising his skills. :p

I tried that same thing today, got a Ryuunosuke CE, half a day after the event ended. That meme is so good it makes impossible rolls possible! :V ...the desire sensor will still have its jollies, though.

Wasnt it after a great success?
I heard Super Success. Anyway, he's definitely going to replace Paracelsus in my team.

Funny thing is, I rolled him with a ticket, not with a 10-roll. I saw the rainbow, was setting myself up for the mixed bag that would be another Lancelot, but then boom, Waver. I kinda wish he'd come when I still had the mountain of EXP last event gave me, but I guess you can't have everything.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. It's a shame that I don't have Saint Martha ascended, otherwise I'd have access to her second skill that removes debuffs, including stun (I think that's how it works?). That'd be a great combination for when Tamamo Cat uses her NP.

Huh?
Gil melts face because his Atk is stupid high. And now with his NP Upgrade (300% multiplier -> 400% + 30% NP Power Up) he's great in all situations.

Gilgamesh is now really good. That interlude makes him not only have 400% starting power but gives him a 30% NP damage up before his NP hits. This means against non servants his NP level 1 has a power of 520% and against servants a power of 780% not including his buster buff.(780% and 1170% with buster attack factored in)
As far as I can tell this gives him one of the best AOE NPs in the game now and is a huge buff from his old NP
old NP had a 300% and 450% against servants(450% and 675% with buster included)
And he already has a nice attack

This. I went and looked at the Np damage comparison and put in the new 30% Np damage buff
Gil now has the third best AOE damage in the game with only arturia and saber alter being slightly higher. And thats against normal enemies
If you factor in super effectiveness Gil has the second best AOE with only mordred beating him. And Gils NP hits super effective much more often than Mordreds.
Gil with his new NP hits like a truck and can wreck face which fixes the main problem he had(that his NP was super weak)

I have Martha fully ascended and have used her for pretty much that purpose... and little else. That is Martha's problem - she just isn't useful for much. Her NP is weak, her attack is low, her skills are lackluster outside that specific application. She is now sidelined hard and I rarely use her, preferring Riders with good offense (Santa Alter) or team buff skills (Ushiwakamaru) when I actually bother to use them. Another problem with Martha is that she belongs on an Arts team, whereas Tamamog is rather ill-suited for them. Outside of that one turn stun heal, she and Tamamo Cat don't really fit together well. It's not a bad match up exactly but it isn't a good one, either.

Then again, I prefer offensive plays and am too impatient for the stalling, survivalist tactics preferable for Martha and most common Arts teams. The picture may seem different for those who find such slower play styles agreeable.

^Uses image of Saberface to convince me other Saberface is shit.

You can see the problem here right? Come back when you have an image of Fluffy Tail yelling about waifus. Didn't even use the coloured version, scrub.
