Sorry to rain on your parade, but this plan cannot be done since it uses -5 CharGen points, we only have 4.
Cascarrafa price is halved if we pick Noblesse Oblige. -2 becomes -1, and thus we spend all four of points exactly.

Edit: Also, any answer on the approval voting question? Because if it's allowed I'd also vote for the other Noblesse Oblige plan in addition to my own.

Ah what the heck, the tally is fine with it.

[X] Plan: Heavy Lies The Crown
[X] Plan: Political Powderkeg

Noblesse Oblige all the way. Even if Powderkeg isn't exactly my cup of tea, it does have my preferred background, access to the Asado Desert, and provides us additional knowledge on certain political tensions that Cascarrafa wouldn't. Although Cascarrafa does also put entirely different political awareness on our radar, and provides a crucial additional point in SKILL, the pokemon battling trait. Which is good for our goals of becoming an elite rank trainer fast. Personally I'm aiming for Champion year one but it's a good consolation prize, aim big right?

Lol, that's a three way tie right now.

Honestly I do find the noble one interesting, but it didn't seem to fit too well with Mariana's current characterization. Maybe the Jusis option.

[X] Plan: Political Powderkeg
-[X] Porto Marinada
-[X] Noblesse Oblige

[X] Plan: Heavy Lies The Crown
-[X] Cascarrafa
-[X] Noblesse Oblige

[X] Plan: Sympathetic Villain
-[X] Levincia
-[X] Stranger of Paradise

really, I'm just in it for the Hidden Ability mons, since those seem super hard to get access to otherwise, though Sympathetic Villain's combination is one I would've proposed myself if not beaten to it, just because I like the contrast.

It's probably too late for it to actually win by this point, but...

[X] Plan: Get With The Times
-[X] Levincia
-[X] We Have A Legacy to Consider

Because why not?

[X] Plan Redheaded Barbarian
[X] Plan: A Moonlit World

I like Dragon and Fairy types.

You know, picking Noblesse Oblige would also get us a heir position to one of the most powerful families in Paldea, we can probably do a lot with that. Especially once we, y'know, get rid of our Father. Because that seems inevitable.

Honestly, this guy seems like he'd be one of the first to test out the sharpness of the rabble's guillotine anyways no matter what, so if he's going to die we may as well make it personal, at our hand, and when he does croak we can assume control over the house, it's resources, and influence.

For those asking

Yea approval voting is fine

Paradox Pokemon are indeed a thing. There are a couple of ways to find out about them in-universe but you are not gonna be able to come close to one until your 4th badge

Watching some ScarVi videos on Youtube for reasons and realizing that between the Pokémon characters and the Trails characters there is going to be some severe competition for Parent of the Year Award in this quest whether or not we pick Noblesse Oblige.

Also serious competition for "robots that are better parents than actual parents"

[X] Plan: Sympathetic Villain

Come on Levincia, my favourite type selection of the bunch and I don't mind the background one bit.

Oh you know what, I should have an approval vote too, because If Sympathetic Villain doesn't win, at least the Jusis option is really fun sounding.

[X] Plan: Sympathetic Villain
[X] Plan: Heavy Lies The Crown

Already loving the possibilities for any of the top plans.

A Moonlit World let's us know about the more mystical side of things, and I always liked fairy types and strange protagonists. Especially the ones that could let us talk to pokemon.a

Sympathetic Villain feeds my urge for intrigue and protagonists with goals that are contrary to the actual heroes.

Political Powderkeg and Heavy Lies The Crown also feeds my urge for intrigue, and maybe with villainous leanings. It also likely features fantasy world politics, which is like crack to me.

Redheaded Barbarian has us playing the 12 CHARM/SKILL 11 PROWESS female Ghengis Khan build. Enough said really.

You can't go wrong with any of the front runners.

Depending what pokemon this can get as a starter, say a Gible or a Bagon, it could be a "Head Empty, Only Bite!" kind of story.

Which might fit with the eating pokemon part.

Jangma-o could fit the Khan theme.

Man it's been a while since I've seen a quest thread with this many wildly different plans that I'd like to see any of win all competing for first. Maybe I'm too opinionated normally.

Honestly playing a Young Master could be interesting, but I can see why you'd tone it down.

Personally I'm more a fan of not going halfway on that nobility thing, go all the way to the (near) top I say.
