I wouldn't want to spend too much time with Fugaku since that is cutting into Sasuke's time with his dad, also because Rin's dad will be teaching regular releases anyway.

He was being opportunistic, but the opportunity will still be there. He's probably checked out Itachi by this point (or will very soon) and the tensions between the clan and the rest of the village will remain high. He might even push the coup forward and then when it happens, draw back his support and let the village crush the majority of the Uchiha. Or any other number of options. We might avoid a full on one-loyal-survivor-left massacre, but it'll still probably be pretty bad.

It's definitely not a pointless vote, but I can't guarantee it will save his LIFE.

Personally, i think it'll save both his eyes, but he'll still be poisoned and kill himself after giving the eyes to Itachi. Possibly to safeguard to give to us if we ever get the mangekyo shenanigan ourselves.

I'm pretty sure we're going to survive the massacre, if only due to Shisui making Itachi promise to protect us.

I don´t know, Sharingan unlocking only requires an extremely stressful or emotional situation (Sarada unlocked her eyes simply by meeting her father for the first time). So we may be able to unlock it before shit hits the fan. But the Sharingan doesn´t need to be fully developed, Kakashi and Obito unlocked their MS despite having two tomoe.

I have to say that it is extremely likely that we survive, if only because if we did not survive the massacre it would be such a short quest...

Yeah, there wouldn't be much point to hosting this quest if we died that earlier.

Although in the back of my head I do think being close with big brother is important.

I think our survival of the massacre was basically guaranteed the day we became the little sister of Shisui-turned-siscon. I have no doubts he constantly brags about us to Itachi whenever they meet.


Unrelated to that, i had a thought about our future genin team.
So, we made a deal with dad that we'll graduate only one year early, which would place us in the rookie 9 generation with sauce and fishcake, but since he's likely to die before that we could graduate extra early and end up in either an oc group or possibly in Team Gai.

Goddamn, Rin is gonna be a scary opponent once she graduates. Frankly, she's already mastered two of the three academy jutsu.
 
Maybe we'll get put on Kakashi's team, fail, and thank god we don't have to be on a ninja team with whatever two idiots we were going to be paired with.

Imagine Lee, Neji, and us on Kakashi's team. It would be a trainwreck before Kakashi even entered the room.

Kakashi: "You three all fail, and have to return to the ninja academy for another year."

Rin: "Oh thank god. I don't think I could survive on the team with Neji "world's biggest stick in the ass" Hyuga and Rock Lee the cassanova that can almost punch people."

Neji: "The girl that holds every one of her classmates in cold disdain is hardly a joy herself."

Lee: "Noooooooooooo! Please give us another chance!"

If the massacre turns up the same way as it did in canon (aside from Rin also surviving alongside Sasuke), it is pretty much guaranteed that both Rin and Sasuke will end up with Kakashi, since he is the only person in Konoha who can actually teach us how to use the Sharingan.

If things happen differently, there is no way of telling how the teams would be assigned.

Probably the 'don't trust itachi' option. He'd still trust Danzo and then get an eye taken out and get critically injured, but not trusting itachi he'd come to us to give us his remaining eye instead
 
Why are we telling our brother not to trust people. We don't have any reason to distrust Kakashi or Itachi.
