Medium? Whisper: Have Mechanicus forces assist the lunar outpost currently under siege by the Necrons and in possession of a most holy relic of the Omnissiah

I don't know if it's a Minor or Medium. Technically it's 'go and do something' on the other hand if I just tell them to go there they will presumably help out with the Necron problem.

Edit: Rolled for Medium. Looks like we aren't getting that shard right away but the siege might have been lifted at least.

So question, why haven't we tried other FTL coms yet? Like quantum entanglement communications? Could be useful for eventually recreating our own FTL stuff…meaning the mechanicus will have a greater hold over the imperium.

Also need more pylons near the mealstorm that's been going on…as well as getting reinforcements to grab more shards!

Thanks, and yeah, I have to admit that what you wrote up more or less matches what I thought might be the case once I say I'd rolled a 1. "Great job! In 99% of cases, we're going to have the possibly dangerous experiments happen in protected areas! Unfortunately, those areas are still on Mars and it's only 99% so if the 1% goes wrong or the experiment is extra destructive... Problems still happen."

Minor Whisper: Compile all the data that can be had for 'destructive' experiments and cross-examine them to see if what causes the dangers can be determined better than is currently known. Maybe if the Mechanicus knows more about what not to do then the chances of a massively dangerous experiment will go down as the crazy inventors find less hazardous ways of having an experiment fail dangerously...

so what kind of action would at least a sector size FTL com's (quantum tech) be?
just considering on throwing my own hat in the ring...

edited: we got around 6 shards to deal with, one is a "Other" c'tan...which means we can technically eat it if we manage to get it in time, otherwise we need to reinforce the ones getting our shards and bring them to mars to repair shit. and of course get more pylons elsewhere.

A major action. FTL communication is pretty game changing.
 
Major Whisper: The Machine God is displeased with the reliance on warp technology, it reeks of the Old Ones Messy ways, and the remnants of the War in heaven...thus it shall rectify this by whispering into the minds of its servants, the ones that work closely with machines that can send out communication signals, laying down breadcrumbs (with our own back-door protocols to either enhance or cripple if necessary) for Faster than light communications, that rely on Forge-worlds to utilize. Such a thing would surely allow for our forces to engage it far greater logistical binds, as well as response forces. (Technology unlock, quantum communications array)

edited: well, average roll there, not too great, but useful on sub-sector to sector level communication without relying on useless psykers. (Going to need allot more actions to perfect this)

Major Whisper: Try to reverse the function of the Pylons, instead of suppressing the Warp it will, however boosting the Warp in local Space.

Okay just so we're clear everyone did see the part in the last update where billions of people are dying because you've so effectively cut Sol off from the warp that it's suppressing their souls right?

It's not going to affect the Void Dragon, but it does need servants to carry out it's will outside the labyrinth.
 
Minor Whisper: Troll the Emperor with some old Earth media. Say that the Star Wars films were the best during the Sequels, that J. J. Abrams did nothing wrong with neither Star Wars or Star Trek etc. Try to snatch a bite out of the Warp Storms that should erupt from Emps sheer fan rage

OSHA Attack: Since Chaos is well chaos, disorganized, bad, etc and OSHA is order, organized good, etc, and the Omnissiah has already instructed an attack in the form holy vissions called "Rick Rolls", this means we must use the Holy Omnissiah divine scriptures (OSHA instruction manuals) as weapon against the wretched forces of Chaos (assuming the cogboys understand what OSHA is, even a little bit)

If I wanted to reinforce the cogboys who have the artifact but are stuck in a necron held system would that be medium because I'm not trying to get the artifact moved yet, or major because the artifact is present in the engagement zone?
