Outlined Tactics:
-The Zombie's are known for their good faith in deals, we are going to use that
-While on route to the Warlord, talk about getting materials to create a new crafting maks for the Warlord
-It would only require around 3-5 Zombies at most
-Get the Zombies to carve chisels and other mask creating tools from Zombie bones to potentially incorporate into a mask
  • Do this while undergoing the Viscerality injection
-If Warlord demands it, give the upfront payment of Artficer with caveat that they use it to activate the new mask
-With the time remaining after injection, work on the crafting mask making it the best it can be
-Offer the Warlord the choice of Scream, Veil , Faceless Cloth, Sacrifce Forger for said crafting mask (do not craft the last mask if the Warlord does not request it.)
-If Warlord says no, give it Artificer and use new mask as crafting mask onwards
-Additionally, copy Artificer with Webweaver, especially if you feel there might not be enough time to create the new crafting mask
-If unable to enter the Street from the Warlord base, request a super-powered zombie to run you back at top speed (adjust timings based on this)
-Above all else, leave to the Street if the time gets too close
-Alternative, give it the new mask and then dip and run
Potential arguments on why the new mask is better. It has an off switch to the facelessness (expand on the horribleness of facelessness).

This is for Joe's plan, mainly its a way to keep Artficer while also getting Viscerality. Ultimately, it still gets Viscerality (the priority other than getting on the Street). Potential masks to craft will be here soon

Some mask designs:
Faceless Cloth
Made of a worn piece of nondescript but preferably light-grey or skin-hued cloth, wrapped tight around the wearer's face. Viewers might just about discern the existence of a nose and mouth, perhaps even eyes, but the wearer's identity is as masked as that of the material itself, their words muffled, only the fiercest and most sudden of facial expressions discernible. Their vision, in turn, suffers the same; Even if worn carefully, with a marginally thinned portion over the eyes, only the vaguest of vision is possible, and discerning identity out of question. The energy of facelessness gradually afflicts and clings to the wearer, as well as anyone they gaze at too long, but of course, neither will be harmed so long as they wear Masks. This clinging has benefits, if one shoulders the cost; one appears faceless, nondescript, not unlike a true faceless- yet also not monstrous, as the conversion is yet incomplete.

This Mask design is incredibly useful in this scenario, as crafting it with the appropriate material should take no more than ten seconds. Also, Cloth is generally easy to find because people wear clothes.

Sacrifice Forger / Terminal Opus
A mask designed to be put on, but never removed. With a [spiked interior and clasp]/[powerful adhesive mixed with toxin on the inside face], this [mask of bloodstained and rusted metal with a crack which blood 'paint' seeps out of due to the spikes, not quite where the mouth should be]/[slate-grey mask with vision-correcting lenses over the eyeholes and lines resembling wrinkles drawn in the green blood of the undead] draws directly from the wearer's life, without restraint. Although theoretically survivable for someone sufficiently powerful, the power comes not with, but from the price, and skirting it will reduce the effectiveness unless a much larger amount of non-lethal life is absorbed. That power is expended with equal lack of restraint, catalyzing base objects into a single Mask with substantially higher initial and growth potential than normal, partially affected by the nature of the bearer.
Although not principally a source of Facelessness, the raw power of this crafting Mask, born of the sacrifice, ensures it will function regardless of this trivial hurdle.

This Mask design is highly optimized for the needs of the Zombies, since they can use their generic undead, the various humans who negotiate sapient conversion, or humans who they plan to turn into generic undead, as fodder.

[X]Plan: We'll have our cake and eat it too
-[X] Write In: Craft a basic Facelessness-based Mask, not unlike the Artificer's Face, and trade that. The practical benefits to the zombies are the same, since they're in no hurry. Alternatively, a mask that contains facelessness and you charge up with Artificer's Face.
--[X] employ the various outlined tactics summarized Here as appropriate, with whichever of proposed designs or personally considered designs is best within the time limit.
--[X] another possible tactic to append is having the zombies produce full masks in the meantime; presumably applying Facelessness to a completed mask to make it supernatural takes minimal time.
--[X] If this isn't viable, go for whichever option would otherwise win but still copy Artificer's Face with Webweaver

[X]Plan: We'll have our cake and eat it too
(It's identical to the above.)

Dissolving Identity
Crafted using a blank white long-bulging-disk mask as a base, the left side, top, and bottom of this Mask has been painted to depict a fairly generic face- not purposefully so, but without any intentionally unusual features. As the illustration approaches the location of the Mask's tiny slit over the right eye, however, the details reduce to streaks, caricatures, and finally untouched white. Its effect is best summed up as a laser beam of Facelessness, projected, naturally, from the right eye.

Key advantages over the Artificer's Face include: not generating Facelessness when not worn. Not exploding.

Hollow of Disidentity
Create of clotted zombie-blood (Masked was green, so presumably that's a fitting color) and containing a mask within it, one drawn with a middling identity which had it scraped away until the material itself bore scars, this mask's front has a rough circular hole carved through the blood to the blank-mask within, a slight rim of more blood resembling lips, or a headless vacuum's tube. holes have been punched clean through for eyes and the blank-mask sealed in with more blood, and a faint swirling pattern formed through blood clotted and carved around the 'lips' in waves. Another hole is placed at nose level, through to the blank-mask, and sealed only by a removable plug of red blood.
This Mask's ability is to suck up nearby Facelessness into itself through the 'mouth', storing it within the blank-mask that represents facelessness, held in by a Mask's inherent ability to block it and its 'suction' (or a plug, if it must be occasionally not-worn). By removing the 'nose' plug, the Facelessness is permitted to seep out again, allowing for its usage for crafting.

This Mask's key advantages are being naturally environmentally friendly, and having a design that zombies can probably craft for us, more or less; being made of clotted blood without paint, precision is not exactly expected.

Thank/blame @Kufufu for giving me a vote marker.

AN* My most well known written work is A03 tier work of birdsie's two male protagonists in his previous quests, don't expect anything more than a high quality shitpost.
AN2* These are my own spins, not endorsed or reflective of Birdsie or Orm's writing. Total fan work.

Doubt is an insidious poison, not the forceful blade of conquest fuelled wanton sin from beyond Shekhinah. It will slowly creep up on you, no matter how much the Great Creator enhances your mind to pursue the good work. No amount of in-built anti-memetic filters detect it as it sets into the mind of something as inviolable as your belief in God.

And yet, before you even realise it has already caught hold of you. Poison cannot exist in paradise, lest it spread through the purity of what is left.

-----------

What were you before the fall?

[ ] Bearer - You were blessed with the great honour of setting down to the world of man to collect their worship of the Great Creator, you have watched over countless humans giving their thanks to you, supplicants to your heavenly father. As it should be.

But there was one who didn't give his due, when you met the human of a diminutive stature you found them in a laboratory, the arts and sciences of humanity slowly losing favour as how could any of it be equal to the Heavenly Father? You thought that surely it was just a mistake of the imperfect human mind, forgotten to worship, you only arrived to help and remind him.

The human refused, without further discussion before continuing with his work. Already jaded from previous inquiries at the hands of other servants of the Lord, you came to inquire into nature. Why would this man reject paradise one step away?

For years you visited and waited for an answer. Then the man died, as humans always do, still refusing absolution.

You wondered;

Why?

[ ] Guardian - At the edge of the universe, there be monsters. Entities, forces, demons that intend to cause ruin and burn away everything that the great work signifies. You as your countless brethren stood there, bastion at the end of the world warding away anything that might enter the realm of the Heavenly Father.

Your fall didn't come from the outside, for you were designed to face anything the cold unknown with unmatched resolution. No, your fall came from within.

As one day, during your vigil you came upon what appeared to be a comet falling in reverse. Investigating the abnormality as it was due, you found a crude work of metal, glass. Shoddy human design.

Spotting the shoddy human inside, you inquired as to the nature of this exercise, surely a particularly obtuse form of great dedication to the Heavenly Father. You assured the human that Shekhinah would not require such a grand act and a quiet prayer was just as valuable.

The human claimed that it was leaving. It one day happened upon a revelation that there was more than the work of the Great Creator, so it decided to go and see it.

Even in your befuddlement, you allowed it to happen, as it wasn't a sin. The metal coffin rocketed beyond your sensorium, to never be seen again.

Standing vigil again, as you always have, you wondered;

Why?

A song, promising answers could be heard. All you had to do was take a step towards it.

Anais cursed his miserable luck as she ducked behind a rock just in time, letting the stone take the acid split that he was being unceremoniously assaulted with. The wannabe adventurer let out a deep sigh in the few moments, gathering any strength that he might while listening to the noise of skittering.

When it came, he got on the move and sprinted from beyond the rock back over towards the giant lizard of death. He could've tried to run deeper into the dungeon, but that only meant getting more stuck or hoping on a lucky exit while potentially dealing with it's potentially even more dangerous residents.

The horse sized red scaled quadruped that could split acid strong enough to melt the rock it made it's burrows in, was already fucked enough. It didn't help that as he attempted to strike at it with his mother's knife, he found no give. It meant retreating again and slowly but steadily he was losing viable cover.

This wasn't the glory he was promised by the older kids, there was nothing magnanimous about becoming dinner for a monster he considered as he kept dodging fervently.

As it turned around and swept him off his feet with its tail, breaking his knees and preventing any further attempt of escape he considered that it might've not been ambition that ended him in the first place, on the brink of his death he was coming to terms that it was more likely that this was desperation.

Desperation to be something more than the village orphan, the outcast, to prove himself in the eyes of the others. He couldn't help but find it rather ironic as fear settled deeper with the monster unhinging its great jaw ready to eat him whole that his life would end as dinner. A cautionary tale was probably better than being a nobody, if anyone ever finds his remains.

He closed his eyes and awaited his end, but it didn't come. Instead a great shining light radiated enough to burn his retina even through his eyelids. Putting his hand up to shy away from the light, he heard the death throes of the monster.

Managing to slowly open one eye enough to get a view, he saw the image of a perfect being with wings of white, impaling the lizard through the head with a spear of light. When it's cold, unnatural eyes meet his Anais and feel a different kind of terror.

"Be not afraid." it uttered.

Anais was very afraid.

You have walked the Street that sung of worlds and knowledge beyond the purview of Shekhinah and just saved a human in danger, as it was your programming. You sense great turmoil within it.

[ ] Acquire Information - Heal the human before you and then ask as to the nature of the place you have found yourself in. A minor healing miracle should make it understand you are righteous.

[ ] Investigate in depth - The human juvenile doesn't seem to be particularly informed from his appearance. It should be able to find safety on it's own from here, fly out and find a reliquary of information more useful.

[ ] Go Downstreet - Leave.

Reasons to atleast Approval vote the new plan ([ ] Plan: We'll have our cake and eat it too) :

  1. For those seeking full Viscerality, this plan does the same but also attempts to keep Artificer. Additionally, if Artificer is still demanded we have also created a new facelessness mask that can then be used as a replacement in future worlds
  2. Some additions that are not present in the full vote are present here. The main one that I am talking about is copying Artificer with Webweaver before handing it over. This should allow us to have a store of facelessness that can then be used to generate a more permanent alternative in the next world (it saves us from having to reverse engineer Facelessness, so we can get back to mask creation as soon as possible)

Did we get some info on Discord about what we can expect from Viscerality to start with, what would be low hanging fruits etc?

[X]Plan: We'll have our cake and eat it too

Our boi Scott, who we'll likely abandon
With how surprisingly well he accepted our mask magic thing I interpreted him as a pretty chill go with the flow dude, even if traumatized and tired from having to survive the apocalypse
(Fyi, the scars on the back of his hand were from some wild cat, not, he just got too close to the trashcan it called home, I know that will most likely not be canon but the lines are staying)

Apologies for the ping. But I think we're out of time and should consolidate, or make our peace with Full Trade.
After Naan's explanation about the zombie overlords likely just being live and let live types of dudes considering they could've wiped out mankind by now, or our character would just assume that with his limited info
It has been a win-win for me ever since

Ya'll on your own

I'd assume consolidate WHOCAEIT into 'Partial trade' as a 'partial trade, but (insert all these optimizations here) if possible' subset, which should satisfy both sides and match Full Trade if my understanding of vote calculation is correct.
