There's a Nightcore version I'm kinda shamefully fond of. It's much faster paced, higher pitched voice. I like the energy though.

So, my reason for the stunt: we know absolutely nothing about Minato's teammates. I mean, I could see one of them (the lighter skinned one) being a Hyuuga maybe, and the other a Shimura (I don't know why, he just kind of reminds me of Danzo). Still, we don't know what happened to them. They likely died, yes, but they could have retired, or gone into intelligence, or some other fate might have befallen them. So, relatively fair game, I think. And this setup, if it's allowed, gives us a small in into the intelligence community, and maybe a chance to meet Jiraya himself. Also maybe a chance to look at a Hirashin kunai that the owner keeps under the bar.

We know from Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata, being beaten almost dead, but not maimed leads to rapid power growth!
They wouldn't. But I'm guessing it's as good a point of potential future contact as any. And they might just care about Sakura, who is a member of Team Seven. You know, the same team line that they were on? And Jiraya might visit and notice Sakura, whom he would know from a check on Naruto / Naruto's talking. And maybe us too, us being "a girl with an interesting new bloodline".
Basically, I found the idea cool, and ran with it. If this gets approved, it can later be expanded on.

ANBU/Intelligence dive bars? Not his thing, or the sort of thing he'd take his genin to.
The one time we see him taking his kids out(where Lee drank sake) it was a proper restaurant.
And frankly, the whole retired chuunin teammate doesn't hold water; if Jiraiya took you as his genin apprentice 13+ years ago, you're either jounin or you're dead. Look at Shizune the jounin, or even Anko, who despite being experimented on and abandoned by Orochimaru, still made special jounin.

Gai is one of the most vocal critics of the current ANBU rules of engagement and the lack of support for ANBU members after seeing what effect his term of service had on Kakashi (and also seeing first hand how ANBU missions tend to go when he ended up tagging along for one of Kakashi and Itachi's missions.)

Well if you're Gai, presumably you just run alongside them until they admit getting rid of you would be more damaging to their cover than just letting you follow. At least with the latter they can direct the natural disaster that is Maito Gai towards productive ends.
He's the best distraction any shinobi can ask for.
And yes, Gai is amazing. A veritable Wonder of the World.

He was on a mission escorting a bunch of merchants when a hit-squad of ninja from another village tried to kill them. Itachi and Kakashi were sent to rescue him and the other Konoha nin involved, and then eliminate everyone involved.
Gai refused to abandon the mission when all the other guards went back to the village, so he got a front row seat to Kakashi and Itachi executing everyone involved except him. His response was basically "Kakashi what the fuck"

The person who would frequent, or at least go to places like that would be Kakashi, if only to keep some contacts.
And he certainly wouldn't take impressionable genin into those joints.
And I will point out that Namikaze Minato's family, loved ones and teammates have a pretty piss poor survival record.
His wife, two of his students, his wife's entire extended family both Senju and Uzumaki......odds there is anyone alive is pretty infinitesimal.
If he'd had anyone surviving and functional, Naruto would not have been an orphan living on his own in an apartment, whose closest adult authority figures were his classroom teacher and the Hokage.

And we know, OOC, that the likeliest reason Minato's teammates got no development is because Kishimoto didn't plan that far ahead.

There is no way Naruto would have grown up an orphan if there was a surviving member of his father(or his mother's, for that matter) genin team resident in the same village. And retired.
Certainly not while Jiraiya is alive to guilt you into doing shit about it.
Kakashi gets a pass because he was a teen at the time, and in ANBU; not a good headspace for taking care of normal kids, and no time.
