-[] Stunt: Rivalries certainly seem to be effective motivation, and what little you recall of Sakura's fight with Ino was rather disappointing. Gai-sensei would make it all better, and you can get some info on Shikamaru in the process, "Sure, Ino. Give me a hand with delivering Sakura, and we can compare our teams while we walk?"

I feel a little bad about inviting her when Sakura told us not to, but the amusement factor won out in the end.
I also want to see them become excellent kunoichis by competing with each other, and because of the Tenten IC want to prove that women can be strong it shouldn't be that out of character for her.

Now that I think about it, my joking about Nocturnal Danzo aside...becoming a Nocturnal might fuck him over, socially.
You might argue that he's old enough that the exaltation would start with a Renewal (Nocturnals are biologically immortal by way of reverting to a younger age, in a body which looks like a child of theirs might, whenever they get too old (generally around 80). They don't experience any sort of slowed aging, unlike other exalts, but still don't experience fresh infirmities with age. because the exaltation can do this, it doesn't discriminate against very old or very crippled prospects, and simply renews them right off the bat when it sticks into them.), knocking him from being old into the body of a 20 year old. Who doesn't even look entirely like a younger danzo.

Only his knowledge would let him prove his identity at all.

---[X] Stunt Gai: The two of them and you should be the youthful challenge you need to counter Naruto (numbers), Sasuke (genjutsu), and Neji (taijutsu). You do need to start thinking about how you are going to challenge Gaara's sand defense.
 
Another point is that, well, ok, Gai is enthusiastic, but he's not Ino's or Sakura's teacher. Like, at all. Maybe Sakura can be swinged due to Kakashi being a close friend and rival. Ino has Asuma. And training people takes time and effort. Which he should probably putting into us and/or Neji.

Neji is training with his family. Tenten needs decoys training partners.

Considering some transformation techniques and ilussions it is very possible they have ways to prove their own identity one way or another.

Though it was my assumption that Exaltations like Solar ones rejuvenated hosts to their prime if they were too infirm? like an Old Soldier would have the second breath and be filled with the vigor of youth again and all that.

Tenten already has Gai and Sakura. Ino just wants to show Sakura up and inviting her will likely cause some damage to our social link with Sakura because she asked us not to allow Ino to join. Ino was also being rather rude and shouldn't get the privilege of dealing with Gai's expert training.

Not to mention inviting Ino is just going to be a major headache and you can't say she isn't just trying to sabotage our training or going to do that anyways whether on purpose or not or she is going to report interesting things to Shikimaru so he can plan against us ahead of time.

Inviting Ino is just one major fucking headache that isn't going to be amusing at all. It's not about being the straight man or anything like that. Dealing with a situation that Tenten has no clue how too may add some limit as well. Which would be stupid.

-[X] As much as you would like to see her reaction at actually being confronted by the Fountain of Youth that is Gai-sensei, from what you saw right now, you get a feeling that it would be rather counter-productive to your training for the exams. Unless she can find some way to help you? She is the heir of Yamanaka clan and a team member of another finalist, right?
--[X] If she actually falls for it and sells clan or team secrets, or offers to do something to her teammate, like making him throw the match, string her along, then go to Gai-sensei and tell him about it. Because exam or no exam, village, clan and team loyalty should come first in Konohan shinobi.

Her being Shikamaru's teammate is a bad thing guys - putting aside the fact that she's far more socially savvy than we are, even if she somehow was willing to spill the beans on her teammate, she's directly observing our training vs us hearing dubious second-hand information on Shikamaru - and frankly, someone as smart as Shikamaru should be given as little information as possible before a fight.

EDIT: And as it stands, we know about Nara clan jutsus etc. and Shikamaru currently knows jack shit about how our exaltation works. The information asymmetry is to our advantage here!

Not quite. Exaltation doesn't change you like that.
It does the following:
-Regardless of your age and physical build within human norms, it does not impede you. The 9 year old wielding Samehada and the withered 90 year old would fight just as good as the 20 year old, though the 9 year old would have some difficulties with reach and height they'd need to stunt for.

-It USUALLY rapidly makes up for any permanent infirmities short of amputation(and even those impede you much less, you still only have one arm, but your other arm could lift a zweihander just fine for instance), and cures all ongoing diseases and ailments. Some negative mutations will fall off, some won't, it depends on your self identity.

-You don't age past your peak/self identity peak, though you don't grow any younger without applied magic to that effect.

IIRC, Yamanaka should be trainers for Medicine, Craft(Wood), Socialize, Presence, and Performance and potentially Yin Release(though this is of course, mostly a family secret technique thing so probably not).

As clan heir she has connections too, if we wanted to develop some(Tenten would not be very good at using them until she learns some social skills).

But mostly it depends on how you want to develop things. We could potentially have ever kunoichi genin getting the Gai treatment or we can focus in on Sakura.

1010 would get her revenge and set Ino and Sakura up with eachother with her mighty solar shipping powers if that happened. Then Hinata will be sad as her future girlfriend would already be taken as 1010 jumped the gun and shipped her with another girl. And sad Hinata is bad.

Like a kicked puppy bad.

We all know Tenten's secret agenda...

Befriend Sakura and Ino so that she can get closer with Knuckle Knives-Chan (Asuma's weapon) and Hatake Family Tanto-Chan (Kakashi's heirloom).
