*You are tied to a tree, and a snake is eating you. This is strange because three seconds ago you were in your bed, and the snake is pink*

"I roll Investigation."

GM: "You are in a Genjutsu."

"...thanks. That really helps. For a moment there I was afraid I was in an acid trip. Gee, what a great use of my roll."
On one hand yes, on the other hand realizing you're in a Genjutsu is the first step towards countering it*.

*Warning: Knowing you're in a Genjutsu may not save you under certain circumstances.
So does it count as a shaping attack?
No, it doesn't.

Coming in with a premade character that we'll barely have enough BP to get essentials will honestly cut down on a lot of the arguing at least.

The first build is always "DODGE! SURVIVE!" Its after that that things get... complicated.

[x] Go over an make sure she's okay - She may be a complete bitch, and the sister of that monster that tried to murder Lee, but you're better than her. And you want her to know you're better than her.

Personally, not sure why anyone would assume Ten-Ten has a bloodline. I'd assume, if I was a ninja, that she would be the greatest example of what happens when a ninja gets a second wind and why you don't play with your enemy. Remember that chakra is produced from stamina and "spiritual energy", so someone could assume that Gai's done some insane shit to boost the stamina of his genin or we finally broke through our limit thanks to all of his training.

That's my take on it anyway.

Exalting means going full totemic with our Anima Banner, I.E. this:
ANIMA: A swirling array of scrolls and golden blades, spreading out like the rays of the rising sun.
Is visible for miles right now.

Which with how big the forest and building are is probably just the stadium.

I.E. we're doing a very good impression of a rising sun made of blades and scrolls right now. And seeing a huge boost in raw skill.

I think Crit meant that Ten-Ten would assume she had a bloodline, because she knew that she didn't have a second wind.

To be fair to Crilltic, Senju bullshit might be another plausible explanation for the wounds.

Not sure what happened to them in the manga, tbh.

No. It's illegal. I don't know what you're thinking, but it's illegal. Also, he's a known element. He teaches Naruto stuff in Part II and is all like, "Oh, and I can control trees. Orochimaru a shit."

...totally an accurate depiction of his character.
...

That Orochimaru only ever experimented on the groups they found instead of doing it on orphans he left in the orphanages and stuff. Or, more accurately, to people that would later go on to have kids that might trigger said mutations.

He knows better, no one else does though.
Yamato is always watching.
We;; if you're going to do that, you might as well grab the pic. *Shrug* I'm too lazy.

Though between Lee opening the 5th gate and this whole fiasco people are going to be looking at Gai like "what do you feed these kids?!"
Heroic willpower can overcome many things. A broken spine is not typically one of them.

I'll concede to your point.

Just re-read the part where she thought her spine broke.
Random people might assume she got some call-back to Senju auto-healing going on. Gai might still get props tho.:D

Actually, considering how many people died just to get one good result? He could have emptied the orphanage to get one more good result.

...he probably just didn't have time? Because it sure as hell wasn't morality holding him back.

Orochimaru didn't know Yamato was a success. He thought all 70 subjects died, which caused him to abandon that line of research.

At work. No time to grab the picture.

Far as we see, the high death-rate was probably more due to it being Moukoton specifically. Mixing other lower mutations together to see what he could get out? And them being more survivable? Especially if left to pass down to a child naturally with Chakra bullshit and any kid that didn't have a stable mutation being still-born?

Considering how he's the best mix of science and SCIENCE! around, I could see him actually getting good results with that.

Considering all the mutant guys we see fighting to be his new body, he looks to be a fair hand at Body mutations at least.

Orochimaru's probably a genius in his field, so I give him some slack.

And judging by the manga showing that he got bloodlines mainly from f'ed up situations (war, desperation, and extermination) I bet he got a lot of rejects or shitty blood-lines most of the time.

Oh yeah, so I usually like to give a tally for votes. Especially if they're competitive. Which this one is. But currently:

Operation "Hey, I just broke your jaw, so this seems crazy. But here's my number, call me maybe" is winning with 15 votes.

"I don't care so I'm going to walk away and let the professional medics handle this" has 12 votes.

And "Might as well start the inevitable slide into evil sociopathy now" has 1 vote.
