This is most likely a alt power type deal rather than a fusion. why would any reasonable person think fusion first?
I don't see how it is unreasonable at all. Naruto is the kind of setting where young exalts would not be invincible, and wouldn't necessarily completely change the setting. I just don't want to get too invested in the idea that there have never been exalts around before, or that we for sure know more about what is happening than the village.

Well your saying that we should assume that its a fusion or that exalts are frequent when based on what has been written so far there is Zero indication of this. So we assume like reasonable people based on what is common and what has been presented and assume that our Protag is the only and first exalt.

I am honestly unsure why you keep trying to imply that I am some sort of unreasonable crazy person for bringing up an alternate possibility. As you have said, there is no evidence either way yet, so bringing up one of the possibilities seems perfectly reasonable. We don't have to act on the idea, but automatically assuming the other way is just as limited as assuming exalts are everywhere.
