[x] Go over an make sure she's okay - She may be a complete bitch, and the sister of that monster that tried to murder Lee, but you're better than her. And you want her to know you're better than her.

How to make friends in Shounen 101:
1. Beat them to a bloody pulp
2. Help them afterwards

She'll be our reluctant, foul-mouthed ally within the week, tops. :V

Both your votes have '[ x]' instead of '[x]'. Not sure if the program will count them.
yeah in other quests its alright but i will change it for sure

Oh wow. Our skills are absolutely terrible from an Exalted standpoint. I don't think we meet the requirements for a single decent Charm. No perfect defense, no suprise negators, no combo breakers, nothing. The Thrown skill tree is rather crappy compared to Melee, so that doesn't help either. We either need to push our dodge asap and switch our fighting style to melee, or stay away from Charms almost entirely and stick to Jutsu.
Unless Crilltic is a benevolent deity and lets us have some custom Thrown Charms?

Honestly, we should be grateful for what we have. I mean, Tenten already becomes a perfectly good shinobi by Part II. Sure, not a super legend or anything, but and? She'll probably be a Jonin before she's twenty, a pillar of Konoha. Not as much as she wished, but hardly nothing.

Adding this to it allows her to hit at a higher level, unless Exaltations start getting handed out to everyone, so it's fine if it's not the most 'broken' possible build.

There are ammo constraints, most of Tenten's scrolls got shredded by the tornado she got hit with in the opening. So she doesn't have a lot of smoke bombs etc.

There is a literal armory of weapons stuck into the ground all around her though. So on that front she's basically set.

It's not free of the great curse. And I knew there was something I forgot. Give me a few hours to put that together. With family atm.

You forgot this. The limit break.

I'm going to be stingy with custom charms. You can certainly ask for them, but I reserve the right to veto them.
I'd just like Thrown versions of already existing Melee Charms: stuff to deal with hardness and soak, a perfect attack, extra action charm etc. You can make them cost more motes or something if you like, but without that stuff we need to retrain ourselves for melee, and that'd be kind of stupid from a fluff standpoint. It's not like there is some in-universe reason for Solars to suck so much at throwing weapons compared to other fighting styles.

I don't see how it is unreasonable at all. Naruto is the kind of setting where young exalts would not be invincible, and wouldn't necessarily completely change the setting. I just don't want to get too invested in the idea that there have never been exalts around before, or that we for sure know more about what is happening than the village.
Well your saying that we should assume that its a fusion or that exalts are frequent when based on what has been written so far there is Zero indication of this. So we assume like reasonable people based on what is common and what has been presented and assume that our Protag is the only and first exalt.
All I'm going to say is that Tenten doesn't know what an Exaltation is, and that the general opinion is she has a Bloodline Limit she just awoke.

Basically this, and a lot of Tenten's issues in canon stemmed from her seemingly being a chew toy of fate than any failure on her part.

I'll see what I can do.

Exalts are, first and foremost, noticeable. If she doesn't recognize the signs of an Anima Banner, even if she's never heard of gold ones or something, then it's unlikely at best to be a fusion.

As for everything else, yeah your skills aren't exactly optimized. On the plus side, you've got a month before everything really explodes.
*Blinks* Wait, you mean we're not getting any BP to expend?

... You're kidding right. Literally the post I'm responding to in that post you quoted. Literally two posts up from yours.

o_O
Yeah but we don't know how many. And we've got other things to raise up too. Dodge being the most important one. If we need the BP for other stuff it might be more efficient to go with Reflexive Sidestep Technique instead.

what ex-chan said makes sense given it's shounen

I just tried it out in Anathema, and going by the 2.5 rules Tenten has already spent all her Bonus Points and then some, assuming she's build as a starting character. So all the BP we get are extras and it might not be many.

We have Dodge 1. Same price to get either really. Or close to anyway.

We have some really good Mentors in the wings for Tai/Nin/Genjutsu, and that's probably where our month of training will be focused so it should be easier to buy up those over the month.

Considering we're cutting out training times, we can also leave the attributes as is if we really don't have that much BP.

And it's a ninja world, we want Surprise Negators. And whatever serves as anti-genjutsu (which could be awareness, intergrity (which we have favored, so it's a little cheaper), or Genjutsu itself).

Awareness and Dodge really are at the top of our list for what we need to get, so even 6 BP would cover us. And we probably have more than that because we've been a ninja for a year and doing missions and training from hell regularly thanks to our Sensei/Mentor. We should have enough BP for some of the essentials at least.

Unless you're modeling a Dynast-trained DragonBlood. Who have another ten points to spend on character creation but must buy up certain subjects to a certain level.

Yes but we absolutely require dodge anyway, since it has our perfect defense and combo breaker.

Genjutsu works by directly manipulating the chakra in an opponents body, so it might count as shaping, in which case Integrity Protecting Prana means we're set. If it doesn't count as shaping IPP is kind of useless for once, because I can't think of anything else in Naruto that could count as a shaping attack.

The rules for Solar character creation already assume that you were an exceptional person before your Exaltation, so I don't think that argument applies. All we can do is hope and pray for the Great GM's mercy. Maybe sacrifice a chicken?

Yes, I used the normal allotment of chargen bonus points to approximate Tenten's skills and attributes at this time in canon. You'll get some at the end of the prologue though, not the full allotment however. Probably around 10.

As for Genjutsu, Awareness, Integrity and Genjutsu itself can all be used to counter it. Investigation can also do in a pinch, though it's more likely to just end up telling you "you are in a genjutsu" rather than outright breaking it.

*You are tied to a tree, and a snake is eating you. This is strange because three seconds ago you were in your bed, and the snake is pink*

"I roll Investigation."

GM: "You are in a Genjutsu."

"...thanks. That really helps. For a moment there I was afraid I was in an acid trip. Gee, what a great use of my roll."
