Jiraiya is a good connection to make, but he isn't useful to us in the two or so weeks before Orochimaru's House Party.
And given that we know Pervy Sage exists, and we are at least on speaking terms with Ramen Boy, future encounters are possible.

But we don't know if they're someone we want to meet or a melee/throwing tutor. Maybe it's Yugao. Maybe it's Kurenai.

But we have a path to Jiraiya now ao I say we take it.

Rather Tenten not run around basically naked with an easily dispelled henge to chase after a notorious prankster that canonically outmaneuvered Ambu in order to find and or meet an old perverted man in nothing but our bath towel.

There's humorous situations and then there's just plain idiocy.

Yeah, the Follow Him option pretty explicitly says Tenten gets dressed first (She's a ninja, they teach how to get dressed in seconds at the Academy :V)
 
I don't even particularly care who the second encounter is. I just don't want Tenten chasing Naruto to the sound of Yakety Sax.

I have corrected my write-in (below), but:
1) Naruto never outwitted any ANBU in canon. At all. He painted the mountain in plain sight of everyone, and people were commenting on it, but no one except Hokage was allowed to touch him.
2) Henge is not easily dispelled and can withstand melee combat with Bijuu.
