Practice: 16+2+2+2+2+4+2+2+2+2 = 36 (Your skill as a Potential rivals some of the First, and you're one of the only Potentials alive who is able to sense the strange patterns that you can now feel and hear woven through the very fabric of the world that surrounds you.)

Risen Focus: Your Focus now lies far closer to the surface of your soul, changing both the reality of what you can do, and what your body truly is. Bringing your Focus closer to physical reality has made you stronger, more capable, and yet also far more what you were from the beginning. A Mender. +2 Practice, ???, ???
This is what we now have. Another +2 boost to Practice, a promise of a great Artifact within our Unison Platform, a couple mystery boxes. Being merely 3 points of Practice less than Kalilah Mishra (who has 39).

On a side note - when did we get this one?
A Song of Bonds: After humanity fell, something was forged from the ashes to take the place of what failed you. Now, deep contemplation and study has led you to that new creation, a melody so encompassing that it is a tangible presence. In this, lies the truth of Purify, and perhaps much more. +2 Practice, ???

I'm... a bit confused about what just happened here and what we were trying to accomplish.
Amanda seems to have figured out that she enchanted much of Humanity when she created the Circles, something the Elder First figured out before her and seem to have considered a good thing.
And then after telling the Circles, they seem to have helped her forge a Blue Lantern Ring.

The Blue Lantern Corps is one of the ten Lantern Corps that draw power from the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum. The original was the Green Lantern Corps, and the Blue Lanterns have been allies to the super-hero Green Lantern. Their power rings are charged by the emotion "hope," and they...

I'd say that she explained to the Circles that the Circles aren't just social constructs she created, but in fact the first (known) non-physical artifact (spiritual, soul based? Dunno, missed loads of discussion).

The heavy part for Amanda is that the whole thing is kinda inextricably and symbiotically linked to, essentially the whole human race, and she never asked permission first. Which would have been a trick, as she had no idea she was building a thing.

Any way, the general reaction was somewhere around "huh, neat" or "cooool" (and maybe a little "best mom-god-ex-el-presidente" when Amanda wasn't looking).

So, after that, Amanda gets ready to do this thing that involved the aggregated human soul to shoot space lasers, or something like that. Then Veda swanks in, goes "Know what'll help? Moar powah!" And she reveals she'd scooted of and conspired with the circles to go full "POWER OF FRIENDSHIP*[totallynotoccultedition]"

Amanda tries to go "but I don't want/need more powah!" But Veda beats her to it and shoves the Spirit Energy #NotASpacebomb at her, Amanda looks at her 5 dimensional blueprint (that is probably turquoise, because no reason) and goes "I! HAVE! THE POWAAAH!"

Then she made a thing. No one is a hundred percent sure WHAT the thing is, but it has a bleed off effect of making Amanda even more Godoka then she was before.

It's probably Deus Ex Machina. Human Ex Machina? Nonono, Deus Ex Human!

alternatively, it's just a very fancy spirit bomb. Well, at least we won't have to wait for three episodes for Amanda to finish charging it.

Amanda told the Circles that they were basically her Artifacts, or living in them, at this point and they helped her boop Mender's Soul into existence.
Remind me again what that does, or was intended to do? I'm having trouble finding the reference.

I like your summary very much.

It's in the Makers and Artifacts Informational:
A Mender's SoulA theoretical product of pure conceptual engineering, the purpose of this Artefact would be to bring Amanda's Focus far more fully into reality around her when she extends her Aegis. As the design implies, this would absolutely require integration to work, and would probably be the first work of purely conceptual engineering any Potential has ever completed. Once complete, this would supply a considerable enhancement to Amanda's Aegis; Mending through the ideal of that which cannot be broken. If the theory is right, something which all involved in the process are confident it is, then it could provide several other potent effects, centred around application of Amanda's Focus to the world around her. In terms of combat capacity, think pure support/defence. Even with Healer's Fire, it's unlikely to be able to apply this to offensive operation. That said, the truest force multipliers are rarely direct. If taken, the conceptual construct would most likely be connected to Sidra's physical housing in the integration process.

Complexity of physical design: Null
Conceptual engineering required: High

Drunk History 2129.

Alright, I think I'm going to stop following the quest now. Its not that the QM is bad at writing or anything like that, I've just been slowly loosing interest for a year now and nothing that's happened has really resparked it.
Sorry for leaving and best of luck on the rolls.

Honestly, wouldn't be surprised if the whole 'circle of power' the Circles used to gift their support to Amanda wasn't either inspired, or due to, pre-sorrows occult/wiccan tradition in a way. Because there's be some pretty damn strong sympathetic links there and whilst Practice isn't actually magic... We're pretty sure, it probably helped to at least some degree. Even if only in visualising what they wanted to do. (I definitely suspect it did more.)

Now for an important question. @Snowfire how has this altered the Arcadia Circle Research Project? Because if it hasn't done a lot, something's wrong.

It's kind of impressive how close this comes in some places before veering utterly off track in all the rest :V

Being honest, I'm not really surprised. The last year, even perhaps including Second Contact, has been...slow. That's gotten to me as well, and perhaps I should have broken the quest off after Second Contact to pick it back up at the TBOS. Maybe that would have been better, I can't really be sure.

Something I will say, though, is that we're incredibly close to the Third Battle of Sol, so if you did enjoy/feel engaged by the SBOS narrative, then I'd ask you think about checking in sometime in the next month or two. If nothing else, I can hope to provide an enjoyable read.

Circle leadership: What's a Wicca?

Now for an important question. @Snowfire how has this altered the Arcadia Circle Research Project? Because if it hasn't done a lot, something's wrong.

It's had some effect, but less than you might expect. This wasn't really something the Circles worked out the theory of. They just worked out how to do it, once, when focusing a fraction of their number in the hopes of helping Amanda do something very much within her Focus. Applying that on larger scale, or to other things, is unlikely to be so simple.

And I use that term lightly.

Next we need to try having them support Kalilah when she's doing something very much within her Focus :V

Kalilah lacks any of the major connections to the Circles that you have, for a start ;)
No, but Kalilah is a part of the same Heartcircle that Amanda is, so it might be possible for Amanda to act as an intermediary to shunt some of that Circle-derived power over to her. Would probably need a few more research successes into the deeper secrets of conceptual Practice stuff before we could just hand power off between people tho.

At present, Unisonbound can't really share energy. It's possible in theory, I'll not tease you about that, but getting to the point where it would be meaningful and not harmful would take quite a bit of work.

The second part here is actually more important. Potentials channel the energy they wield through their Focus, giving it a...call it a metaphysical wavelength. It should come as no surprise that certain wavelengths would interact, um, poorly. Diametric opposites like Destruction and Mending? Probably not going to end well.

Yeah, I can't really see that working for Kalilah.

Now, working "Mending-Harmony" from us to Vega? Could work. "Mending-Harmony-Insight" chaining? Maybe.

It's specifically the destructive focus that'd be likely to give us a null result and/or some kind of horrible psychic feedback that leaves poor Vega/Amanda catatonic and/or turns Kalilah into a hippie.
