The forums I'm part of that have this sort of system have a counter attached to the post for the number of rolls made compared to rolls shown. If those numbers don't line up, it puts it in in red at the bottom of the post.
The one I've seen attaches the roll results to a separate box attached below the post instead of relying on the bbcode for rendering. Once the roll has been rolled, it's stuck there.
 
is it just me, or do the dice seem to be rolling really low about half the time?

Well, he said he'd file it right after this one round of the celestial games, and that was months ago. I don't know what could have gone wrong.
