He is willing to kill vampires in the blink of an eye. Pretty girl, just as evil, whats he do? Let her go. Ooc if you ask me.

Hiver, would you let a pretty girl that you know was a vampire go if you had a clear shot on the back of her head? Vampires are able to be reasoned with, look at Harmony. no, you didn't reason with them you put them down like rabid dogs.
It's been confirmed that having lands tampers with his head. He currently has more red than any other color which is the color of emotions and passion, letting a cute enemy get escape is in line with red, as long as he doesn't personally hate her. The type of pragmatism that would lead him to killing her for practical reasons is blue, which is the one color he completely lacks.

If I'm reading him write before he started using lands his personality was blue/red. Mostly pragmatic logic and reasoning, combined with the occasional reckless decision driven by emotions. The lack of blue mana and excess of red is likely making him more prone to the former which this situation is.

I'm not saying sparring her isn't dumb. It is, and he knows it, but his logic and reason aren't in the drivers seat right not his impulsive emotions are. Which kind of fits him fleeing SGverse, he got scared by the responsibility and ran away despite it being dumb to do so.

I think part of people's dissonance is that Hiver is seemingly planning to raise an army to kill her just after seemingly letting her go.
That's because he realized what will happen just 'because' he let her go. Armies are what White do.

Alone they are more or less evenly matched and while he hesitated to shoot her in the back, the first one of his own kind he ever met, for long enough for her to get out of range, he know she need to be stopped.

Which mean he need to find a way to counter the army he know she are going to build.

Don't forget he's also running on less black then he should be, which means his 'killer instinct' is running reduced compared to the rest of him. Not as bad a hit as his logic/analytical self has been hit, but it's still there.

wait... did the Blue mana thing come up in story?
The SI has not stated it outright, but he noticed that mana influences his emotions and actions, that was one of the reasons he choose to balance his colours before claiming more land of a colour he already had.

And Hiver confirmed outside the story.

Even then, he's been accumulating land at a fairly decent pace. White was his most recent gain, but you've got to know blue's on the list. Its' just that he has things he needs to do alongside gathering new land.

Varren do not make good mounts, no matter what their size.

"Yeah, this is not working." I said after an hour as I brought the giant Varren to a halt and slid down its side before dismissing it. While it did allow me to travel faster, it's such a bumpy ride that it's simply not worth it. Especially as I don't exactly know where I was going.

Sighing I looked around the forest and along the path. This was stupid, I had no idea where I was going other than 'North'.

I started to walk again. Sooner or later I would get to a village or town or Inn or even castle. They should be able to give directions.

But where? The Stark army was already gathered and was already fighting the Lannisters. It's a ready made army, but getting them to follow me would be difficult. Would be much easier to convince their leader to follow me, or at least assist me. Robb I believe his name was.

But getting him to listen, even after showing him my magic, would not be easy. From what I remembered he was as big of a man about following honor as his father. He might even decide that somebody wanting to stomp out murderers and criminals and deserters might be a better somebody to listen to.

I rubbed my head as I sighed and kept walking. Getting an army would be harder than I thought.

That's not even counting Mary herself. If I could have countered that binding spell of hers, my Varren would have had her.

I frowned. Dispelling generally mean Blue. Which mean I need an Island, lake or sea. I had not bothered picking any Blue up before because quite simply I did not need it. I really did not like the idea of messing around in peoples heads, crushing the mind of that demon was plenty unpleasant and the other main things about blue spells were dispelling magic, something I had not needed yet.

Considering how troublesome claiming a Land was, I tried not to do it unless I felt I needed it.

Sighing I walked along the forest path.

First other Planeswalker I run into and she's hostile, nuts, and quite likely traumatized. All in all, it likely could have gone better.

Her being mono color aligned hardly helped her mental state either. Which makes it even more important to find a blue land somewhere, the one color I am missing... Doubts started to go through my mind.

I didn't think I was crazy, but then again crazy people almost never do.

I was jerked from my thoughts by a arrow flying past me at a arms length, hitting a tree on the other side of the path and I froze.

"Greetings." Somebody said and I turned towards the voice, revealing five men "You need to be more careful." their leader, a large man with a scar across his cheek, wearing some kind of leather armor said.

"I apologize for getting in the way of your target practice" I said, giving them a nod as one of them pulled another arrow, putting in on his bow as I readied white mana in my hand out of sight, ready to shield if needed.

"You look like a man carrying a heavy burden." Their leader said with a grin "How about we help you carry it?

I tilted my head, eying him for a moment before I nodded "That would be quite helpful. Could you please direct me to the closest coast or possibly to...Winterfell I think it is called? The location of the Stark army would be useful as well."

They stared at me for a moment before the big guy, the leader laughed "I think we got a joker, boys." before he pulled a sword from his belt "Give us your stuff, funny man."

"I do not believe you are making a wise decision here. If you tell me what I wish to know, I will pay you." I told him with a slight frown.

A smaller blond man in the back group glanced between me and the rest of the armed group before he very carefully and slowly as if trying to avoid notice from them as much as me, stepped behind a thick tree.

The bandit leader shrugged "Or we kill you and take your stuff. Jurgen, shoot him." he ordered the archer who raised his bow.

I threw up a shield around me with a flick of my wrist, the arrow simply bouncing off it.

"We can still make a deal." I told them, this time pulling on my red mana on my other hand.

"I don't know how you did that, but I don't care. Get him!" The leader yelled and they charged.

Snarling I let lose a bolt of lightening which chained between them with a roar of thunder.

As I dropped the spell, so did they, their clothes smoking slightly.

"Damn it." I cursed. Why did they not simply back the hell of?

Yes, I dislike killing, but I do it if I have to. They were going to try to kill me. They could expect the same in return.

I had no real non lethal spells and if their arrows bouncing off a energy field was not enough to make them think twice about attacking me, I doubted a demonstration would have either.

Turning to look at the tree the last man had hidden behind I called out "You can come out. Just keep your hands where I can see them."

There was silence for a moment before he stepped out again. He was not dressed any better than the others, a mix of peasant cloth and leather armor. He was armed with a long dagger.

"Why did you hide?" I asked him and he swallowed deeply.

"N-no man outnumbered like that is that calm unless he did not think it mattered. I-i did not want to be on the receiving end of what you had planned." he said, looking like he would rather be anywhere else really.

I slowly nodded "Smart. Cowardly, but very smart. Robbing people is not very nice though." I told him, as I glanced at the bodies of his former gang. No doubt they deserved it, but still.

"G-got no choice, My Lord. I got to eat." He stuttered and I frowned before nodding.

"Dishonorable acts do look like a good idea when the option is starvation." I said before I continued "Can you answer the questions I had?"

He quickly nodded "Y-yes. T-there is a large lake by Torrhen's Square to the direct North of here. C-Continue North West from there and you get to Winterfell. I-I do not know where the Stark army is. I swear, My Lord."

I frowned slightly, trying to remember the map from the intro sequence. I never read the books.

That would mean I was around the east side of the small continent.

"I see. What is your name?" I asked him and he swallowed.

"G-Gunnar, My Lord." he said and I walked closer.

"Extend your hand, Gunnar." I told him as I reached into my pack.

He looked like he were going to have a heart attack and die on the spot but he still did as I told him.

I put a couple of pinches of gold dust in his extended hand "Thank you for your answers. I believe this will be enough for you not to need to rob lone wanderers any more? Do something with your life. Get an apprenticeship or something."

His eyes widened and he quickly nodded, his look going from the gold to me ashe quickly nodded

"Y-yes My Lord! I Will! I Will!"

I turned to continue along the path, leaving the former bandit behind. I need non lethal spells.

Yes, they might deserve killing for trying to kill me, yet alone the people they had already killed for their goods, but that did not stop it from feeling like murder. They didn't stand a single chance. I felt so much disgust and shame, at myself and at the situation. As usual.

I glanced back at the bandit still standing there, looking at me in some odd combination of terror and awe. Letting him go might have been a bad idea, but he did seem smarter than the average robber. He might be able to turn his life around.

People don't become criminals for no reason.

If nothing else my Varren will keep him from following me and trying to kill me in my sleep.

Would it be possible to create a magical craft designed to survive the process of a planewalker deliberately walking? So say if Hiver got attached to some more Varren or such he could put them in the craft and then move the craft from plane to plane?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: That one was made by a thousands of years old artificer mage planeswalker. He only managed to build one, using unique materials.

Okay it be hard, very hard, but as a spacebattler you at least have to try. As the Skyship Weatherlight has a elegance and beauty to it. Which makes me think that you can make an ugly cheaper version that is uncomfortable and twisted.

Which could be wrong, it could be like Star Trek needing nacelles for Warp geometry and such, but I see it like this. The Weatherlight is a sports car, you just need a space hopper to get you the distance (Analogy stolen from Doctor Who).

So try, as if you know its possible then you are half way to doing it yourself.

The weatherlight is pretty because the super-god who built it only had enough of the unique plot-tonium to make one, and figured that if he can only make one, it should be a really good one.

The problem here isn't that the guy who built the weatherlight was being over-ambitious or excessively picky or even trying to be elegant. The issue is that he was trying to solve a very hard problem, and the only solution that Urza (who might as well be a ROB) found was to put decades of time and effort into crafting one ship out of the most expensive and hard-to-come-by materials he could find throughout the multiverse.

You want a spacebattler equivalent quick-and-dirty? I can think of one, and only one.

Make it out of planeswalkers. Sentient ones, that still have their magic (even if they've got no lands attuned). Lots of them. That is the alternative solution.
Ah ... Unless Hiver can get a hold of the Plot-tonium material and divine its essence and summon it ... Well that's out. And the Spacebattler idea Horrifies me, but unfortunately does not surprise (not attacking you, just saying that the Spacebattler idea most of the time is the one that needs to not be implemented - unless its the last and only resort).

Makes me wonder if he can bring her along for a jump through the Blind Eternities. Drop her in MLP-verse for some rehab. Celestia should be powerful enough to hold a newbie walker for a bit while working through her PTSD. :D
And when he returns to that plane it turns out that she's corrupted Celestia who is now invading other planes and founding a certain type of Bureau.

That doesn't make sense, he already kill a lot of beings.
And she already tried to kill him, so I think that he wasn't using logic, I think that It was a more 'emotional' response, but then again, with the kind of mana that he has, I think that thats not the way he should have reacted.
What I meant was that when killing vampires, aliens, and geth, he was using logic (and a good helping of "The Other") to overcome the instinctive emotional response of "murder is bad." Now that he's running on more Red than anything else, that emotional response overwhelmed his logic, especially since she was a pretty woman.

I don't think so. Red mana makes you more agressive, no pacience, etc
More like 'I don't have a plan and I don't care':p
Never mind they'll take any excuse to twist this fic into making sense, I've pretty much given up on it.

This is a Red heavy planes walker. I've read the MtG books, just about every mage that has more red mana would be of the simple thought, 'attack me and get what you deserve'. Instead of coming up with spells to fight a white mage, it looks like he'll be focusing on none lethal attacks... priorities, straight, they're not.

Yeah I'm done with this, if I'm lucky survivor will start updating faster.

Well then stop posting and bugger off then, we want to read this fic, you just want to moan and moan and moan. So either stop whining or leave.

I had an idea while walking my dog, find a way to turn someone in to a planewalker/their children and then go to the Farscape 'verse. Get to Moya before Talyn is born and turn Talyn into a planewalker, admittedly he's an unstable living warship, but that's only a minor problem. Then teach him to Planewalk, you are safe within his hull and he goes through the rigors of planewalking.

While the idea of using a living ship that is also a planeswalker is a great idea, the idea of creating or transfering a PW spark is difficult at best.

The image I am using as an avatar right now is one such being who tried to use this ability. and for those who dont want to look at it in teeny-weeny-eye-strain-O-vision here is a bigger image.

Memnarch turned a whole planet into a way to transfer a PW spark (to himself). Now granted the hardest part is actually finding one. From what I remember it can be done. However, it was more a gifting of a spark rather than taking a spark forcefully. Also Karn was a special case.

That said if Winter could merge with Talyn to a high enough degree it could work regardless if Talyn itself has the spark or not

windlich said:
Do the Children of a Planewalker have the ability to become a Planewalker themselves? As if they can then you could insert that ability in to Talyn's foetus before he was born, and do it that way.
