Nah, as I said not really important. I mean can you imagine Karen making a big deal out of that? She has more things to complain about really.
From her POV: "I mean its just a game. So what if she took a Dhampir and we mistook her for a Vampire? The world will implode or something? Bah!"

True, but just imagine how elaborate my conspiracy theory that YaoiSensei was a mind-flayer who possesed a parasitic insect player to puppet a human could have gotten if you'd given me time to develop it.

Assuming we can do it this way, Karen is really damn dodgy so she can Evasion Tank while doing damage.

Real glad we did not join those guys I can see no scenario where it would have ended well.
Hmm. I'm actually pretty apprehensive here, since YaoiSensei and UnseenEye are both confirmed to be so squishy. Them being at one-hit-ko range is not good at all. If the enemy has rogues with invisibility, or ranged physical attackers, it will be really hard to protect them. Thus, the battle-plan will have to be quite careful, to prevent something like two enemy archers instantly wiping out half of our party.
Also, there might be somewhat intelligent enemies here, instead of just mostly mindless undead or beasts. The Grox have a settlement in the cave-system, if I understood the exposition correctly. That means that we should expect an encampment, instead of just conveniently sized groups outside of each others' hearing distance. If the newly settled group is big, a regular mob-grinding approach could quickly lead us to be surrounded and overwhelmed.

-[X] Use Edith's scouting of the environment to carefully pick the encounter(s) in a place where Line of Sight is limited. YaoiSensei and UnseenEye should position themselves in full cover, and ideally only ever be visible to the enemy in the first seconds of a surprise attack, or in small windows of time when targeted healing or debuffs are needed.
-[X] If the Grox group is big, patiently whittle down its numbers by picking out small patrols or guardcamps one at a time, and avoid getting entangled with reinforcements by quickly changing locations after each battle. Use ambushes and surprise attacks, and unload everyone's best AoE abilities immediately at the start of the battles, to be able to finish them as quickly as possible.
-[X] When it is time to engage the enemy's main force, take your time to fully buff Nofuku before combat. Nofuku charges and occupies the attention of the main group (and the possible boss), using maximally defensive tactics. You and KaptainFredy quickly clean up any ranged enemies. YaoiSensei and UnseenEye should only reveal themselves after the enemy's ranged forces have been defeated, after which the rest of the main force (and the possible boss) can be dealt with in a traditional battle formation: Nofuku tank, you off-tank, KaptainFredy DPS, supports support.

Now there's an idea for a possible class for us. Monster tamer could be fun. I don't know how it could advance just off the top of my head. Tamer -> Breeder -> Smith maybe? Tame monsters, breed them in a way you desire and then either harvest them for some kind of smithing material or kind of equipping them in a symbiotic way for bonuses?
Not a great class. Could be fun though, if we decide not to completely spec into being a combat monster.
Beast smith. Smith tamed monsters into clothes, armor and weapons.
That is a weird class. Who would ever pursue something like that.... except for us of course!
Ouch, poison. No one-hit-ko long range attacks though. Doesn't seem like a species that does intelligent things like fortifications either.
Ok, my plan seems to be mostly unnecessarily complex against these enemies. Still, it should work soundly, as fast and brutal surprise attacks should be good against mid-ranged DoT effects like poison spit (and we don't have good ranged DPS ourselves).
UnseenEye better be solid with the heals though, or we are toast
Edit: I really hope they don't do a lot of stealth, or say bye bye to the supports.

They're not exactly confirmed, that's just Karen's assumptions and guesses from what she knows and based on how her own character is built. They're still somewhat accurate, however.
So Eye could perhaps survive a hit or two more with her heal or if she focused more of her stats a bit in her HP or Phys/Mag.Def. It kind of depends.
Unrelated to the current situation but a question for the future, is the chance to become a World Champion through the tournament a one time thing, is it like an annual tournament kind of thing? Trying to understand if Karen has a chance of eventually becoming one and if we roll bad, if there are other chances. I also wonder if one person can be a World Champion and a World Guardian at the same time.

I'm not sure if I will introduce that class in this quest. There is no explanation what so ever as to its presence, what it does, how is it granted and how can it be compared to the World Champion class. It's kind of vague and confusing.
I'll accept any suggestion if its a good one.
And yes, WC class is a one-time thing that you keep with you all the time. You can't lose it, nor give it to someone else. Same for the tournament, one-time thing. Although, if you do fail in the tournament of one realm, you can always try in another. They won't happen at the same time.

It's not the best but according to webnovel it's "There were people with the World Guardian class, and was an existence known as an official cheat, and had no more than 10 top class warrior users." It sounds strange though because you'd think that would end up with the World Champions also becoming World Guardians but I suppose it's more fluid and might be introduced to counter the one time thing World Champion class? Dunno. Maybe people whined about World Champion being locked so they introduced a somewhat comparable class based on ranking or something.

Update~. The two battle plans that were suggested are compatible since the first is fairly vague so I mixed them.
And yes, Edith is truly a High Elf. Don't trust the images.
"Hey, guys. We wait at the entrance. I'll send Edith in to see what's in there and prepare ourselves accordingly." you say while holding up your hand to make them stop. "Edith? Ah. That's your NPC." You hear Eye mumbling softly under her breath. You decide to ignore it. You focus for a bit and close your eyes. There, you took somewhat of a clumsy control of Edith. It's not like playing your character, the vision is weird as if you're looking through lenses and you can't actually control her beyond telling her mentally where to go like an RTS game but in a first-person point of view. It is kind of weird.
You've gotten somewhat attached to Edith despite not using her much in your fights. She looks like a perfect dress up doll to try the many outfits you'll stumble upon in YGGDRASIL. So, you'll rather not risk her too much since it'll be a pain in the ass and to your wallet to revive her. You stick to the shadows and advance rather slowly. Soon enough, you see your first Grox. It looks like a giant nasty centipede with a nasty mouth. They're clustering around a massive egg that's about three times more bigger than the horse-sized Grox centipedes. You're not what it is for. You can't advance any more lest you risk Edith to be discovered. You decide to retreat quietly and makes note of a relatively narrow passage which would prove useful to fight the swarm. As soon as Edith is back, you turn to your friends who were waiting rather expectantly for you to report what's in there. You'll gladly serve them, of course.
"Okay. So! Groxs are some sort of centipede-like creatures and they're swarming around a big egg inside for some reason or another. I've counted more than a few dozen of them so we're for quite a lot of work. There is a little narrow passage where we can deal with them easily. Their number won't matter then. Eye and Yaoi-chan are going to stay behind us, full cover. No risk what so ever." You pause to see them nod in understanding. You don't bother using any honorifics for Fredy and Eye. It's not like they'll mind or care. "Nofuku-san will take the lead and when we'll make contact with hostiles, I want you both" you point to Yaoi-chan and Eye." to buff her up as much as possible. KaptainFredy and I will pick out any enemy that Nofuku-san fail to aggro, escape or any ranged enemy. We're all clear?" You asked while glancing at everyone to make sure there's no objection or question and fortunately, there's none. You see UnseenEye quietly whisper to Fredy. She's probably translating what you just said in English since he doesn't really speak Jap. You politely wait for them and grin when Fredy sends you a thumbs up signifying he's okay with your plan.
Your group enters the cavern in a tight formation with Nofuku taking the lead. When you do arrive at the narrow passage, you're left with the only question as to how to attract them here? Its a bit risky but you could send Edith or you could go yourself. You mull over it for a few seconds before you decide to go by yourself to get them here. You're faster and way more agile than Edith who you don't want to lose. You explain yourself quickly to your friends who all nods.
Before you go, you hear Yaoi-chan addressing you. "Be careful!" she whispers. A thumbs up is enough to make her relax. It seems like the dark moist atmosphere is setting Yaoi-chan on edge. Who knew? You go in running form the start, you soon see the swarm of Groxs. You don't waste time as you rush in a wide grin on your face as adrenaline goes through your body. You activate one of your trusty abilities, Cleaveand you coat your fists with the Earth elements as you can somehow feel them somehow hardening, a yellow earthly light. Huh, you expected for real Earth to be coating your fist but that works too. You go in with a wide swing and with all your strength. You don't intend to hit anything, just to grab their attention. You do hit a few and they're crushed with a sickening splat against the cave's walls. Your wide swing was strong enough to make a gust of air that throws up fucking horse-sized centipedes in the air without even touching them. You're so fucking awesome.
You don't pat yourself in the back too hard. They soon regain their bearings and you get the hell out of here before they start to comprehend what just happened. As you're running back toward your friends, you hear thousands of clicking noises behind you. You risk a glance and you see thousands of those nasty motherfuckers chasing you. Their little legs making that creepy noise on the rock floor. You accelerate even more. "GUUUUUUUUUUUUUYYYYYYSSSS!!! THEY'RE COMING!!!" you cry out as loud as you can. You forgot to speak in Jap but you really, really hardly care right now. You're pretty sure the message got through.
You soon see Nofuku who's still got that black armor, and she's holding up a short black sword. She's got now with it a black shield too which is the main reason she's the tank of the group. You see that she's glowing in nearly all of the colors of the rainbow, so probably the many buffs. You're in a bit of a problem since Nofuku is completely blocking your way but you know how to get around that problem. As soon as you're just a meter in front of Nofuku, you jump. Not too high, or you'll collide with the ceiling of the cave. Nofuku is obviously surprised, you can tell in the split second your faces were close enough to touch if you wanted it to. You pulled this same trick on those Draugr warriors back in the Ancient Tomb. This would never work in real-life with real-life physics but in YGGDRASIL, its way more lenient. You're now behind Nofuku who's keeping the swarm at bay.
You and Fredy get to her sides and keep out any Grox from wiggling its way out. Eye is occasionally healing Nofuku from the damage she's taking. You can keep this up indefinitely if you wanted to but you'll rather get rid of them quickly. You nod toward Yaoi-chan who pulls out several potions who seems to have a fiery inferno inside of them enough to fill both of her hands to the brink. What are those? You don't have to wonder for long as Yaoi-chan throw them over Nofuku toward the swarm. As soon as it hits the grounds or one of the creatures, it explodes. A pretty big explosion that fills the entire corridor in fire and smoke, it also nearly lifted Nofuku, you and Fredy up in the air. You land painfully on the rocky floor.
You blink owlishly at Yaoi-chan, all of your friends are looking at her. You can tell she's a bit embarrassed in the way she shifts her weight from foot to foot. "Eh... I just thought I wanted to be careful and get them all? They were pretty scary too." Oh yeah. You're pretty sure she's got them all and got all the EXP too; you comment sarcastically but internally. You're all for 'there is never enough firepower' but Yaoi-chan took that and turned it up to eleven. You never thought she was a fan of big explosion or that she had a big fear of big insects. You learned a lot of things about Yaoi-chan today it seems.
"Its fine, just warn us next time?" you reply jokingly while you rub your back on which you landed on. You don't actually feel any pain but just imagining it makes you feel phantom pain. It is a weird feeling. Anyway, you'll take a note. Fire seems to be working well against them, so you'll use it instead of Earth. You hear the clicking noises again. Dammit, there's still more of them? You turn to Nofuku and she nods back to you wordlessly. Your group goes back into formation. You hear some heavy stomps coming from the corridor and you soon see their origin. Your jaw literally drops to the floor.
<Mature Grox Warrior - Level 30>
Holy fucking damn shit. By God's mighty balls what the hell is that thing?! The massive creature is handling an equally massive battleax like its a stick it's playing around with. How is that thing even related to the centipedes-expies you were previously fighting? The only thing remotely alike is their mouth. For fuck's sake.
"Oh fuck! Hey, Stormy! What about the fucking plan?!" you hear Fredy ask loudly and you reply just as loud. "What fucking plan? There's no fucking plan anymore! We pull back!" The plan would just put you in a disadvantage, while the creature can't swing that ax sideways in this tight corridor, the ceiling is high enough it could just bring it down on your heads and you're pretty sure it'll cut straight right through Nofuku despite her armor, shield, and buffs. Perhaps, she could take it but you would rather not take the risk. You pull back slightly where the corridor widens.
The creature keeps following you as it hastens its steps. Damn, you can't escape anymore or you'll risk turning your unprotected back to it. That's way too risky. If you were alone, you could easily escape but that's not really the case here. Your friends are not nearly as fast as you. That leaves with only one choice, to fight it. After the initial panic is settled. You start to think for a bit and you realize that it shouldn't be too hard to kill with a player who's over level 40 and most of the others nearing 30. You can do this!
"Okay, buddy! You wanna play? I'll play with ya!" you taunt the creature even though you know it doesn't really care or understand. You briefly turn to your friends. "Eye and Yaoi-chan stay back and buff us as necessary. Nofuku, Fredy and me we'll go ahead and bring it down." You explain quickly in your haste. Okay, here you go.
You decide to open up as you run toward the bastard with your fists coated in Fire. The Grox Warrior seemed to have anticipated that as it swings the battleax toward you from your left. Shit! You can't really stop your momentum here. You react by instinct as you go down on your knees and slide, you can literally see the massive ax going over your head by just a few centimeters in slow motion. That was way too close. You continue to slide until you go through between its legs and get behind it. It doesn't turn around as your other friends pick up pretty quickly and get its attention. Edith unexpectedly joins in too! She's right beside you. You're not sure how she just got here but she's attacking the Grox Warrior with her daggers.
You keep this up for a little while longer where you send a fury of punches and kicks on its back, the few times it attention gets to you. You dodge its attacks almost effortlessly. Edith is not as agile or as intelligent as a human and once, she caught his attention, you had to grab her in a princess carry and get her out of the way of the Grox's might blow or you're pretty sure she would have taken all of that blow head-on. That could have gone badly. Nofuku takes on any powerful hit and swings her swords a few times. Fredy tries his best to avoid getting hit and mostly keep himself close to the beast so that its hard for it to attack him. He doesn't relent on his attacks either. You soon bring it down and due to your opportunistic nature, you made sure to get the last hit. Ha! Gimme all the EXP!
You and your friends decide to take a second to breathe. That was a lot of action. Just the way you like it. You continue on as the system has yet to declare that the quest was completed. That means there's more inside. Oh well, you're in for a jolly ride. You go further into the cave and you're met with that same giant egg. It seems to be cracking up. Your friends ready themselves for a fight. As it opens, you see inside that same Grox Warrior but naked and a smaller. Do these Groxs work like butterflies? That's rather nifty, you would say. Still creepy though. Nofuku takes the initiative and kills it before it realizes what's happening.
The system still does not inform you that the quest is completed. That means there's even more. You thought the egg was the only one left? You keep going further into the cave until you start seeing what seems like... ruins? Well, the rests of ruins that melded with the nearby rocks. The further you go, the more the ruins are more apparent and less decayed. Until you're met with a pretty big corridor. It seems to be mostly closed off as apart from the way you came in. All the other hallways are collapsed. That's not what grabs your attention, however.
<Grox Warleader - Level 50>
You're met with an even bigger one. This one is perhaps twice more tall and wide than the one you fought a few minutes ago. You can see a second exit of the cave that's leading to the outside. It seems like this is the last guy you'll need to beat to complete the quest. That's one hell of a boss, however.
What do you do?

I say we use Ambition to Reach Heaven on Heavenly Bull's Charge and smash it in the face as hard as we can, maybe after getting buffed up too, maybe blind it or something. If YaoiSensei has some sort of acid flask or more of those grenades that would be great too.
