For this I meant in total with the sword. +40 for Primarch, +20 for the sword/armor

Ah, less good, but still better than what we'd get leading from the back, which is what, a +20? That's a difference of 40, which really could make a huge difference in this situation.

Why do people not want this bonus we need every bonus we can get right now.

I think some people might not have known the number difference until now.

Alright, as promised I'm calling the vote here. Invasion and command from the back win. I will say I was not expecting that. So I will need 12d100. Can I get 4 people to roll me 3d100 each? Rolz link is in the informational threadmarks.

Roll in Rollz room? Or our own various sources?

Edit: Roll

I'll delete and roll in the Rollz room if you confirm that it needs to be in there.

So, seconding the question as to whether it is mandatory to roll in Rolz or if Orokos is still okay?

I give you the rolls. Rerolls were because of Oriacarius new trait, which he got for the 99 and 98. He now rerolls up to 3 combat failures. So, worked out well, until the end. You lost people, but that was unavoidable. Let me know if I missed something.

Ok what about loot rolls?

Foundry is still held by the daemon, also half your Legion has died on this station. -40,000 from the before, 20,000 over the course of the update.

Ouch.

We really need to up our Anti-Daemon stuff, stat.
Shit has already happened, but I really want to prevent disasters like this in the future.

To be fair, we're facing Daemon Possessed DAOT Tech that happens to have a corrupted MOI.... Just saying.

My only issue is recruiting and making up for all those losses... Not sure if we'll be capable of doing so...

I hope we get some loot for these that is worth it. Because if things keep going the way they are we are going to have to spend a decade not doing anything just to get the numbers back up.

Would have ended up losing a lot less if we'd gone in and punched face from the beginning, but oh well.

Hopefully there's good loot to make this all worth it.

Pretty much this, other Legions would have had about 10-25% more casualties. Main reason there were so many deaths were because of poor dice rolls, DAOT tech, not bringing in Kesar at the end. Although that last one was a judgement call on your guys' end to prevent possible chaos.

wwwooooow, hope we get good loot...

on a different note....
hm......+20 for primarch vs 3 rerolls?

so say a roll has a DC 60 this has 40% chance of passing normal, 60% by primarch and 1-(0.4)^3=93.6% which is obviously far better....

However, if you have two rolls with say DC 50 and 60, then you have 50% and 40% for a total of 20% of passing both.
With primarch buff you have 70% and 60% for a total of 42% of passing both.
with rerolls you, in order to fail you have to:
(1): fail 4 times for the first to fail coming to a 1/16= 12.5% and then fail the second giving total of 5%. (chance of full failure, implying that you have 95% of either one succeeding)
(2): in the case you pass 1 first try and then fail the second 4 times, this has ......eeeeeh.....I'm getting lazy and I don't want to think about this anymore. This is getting more complicated then I want to deal with for dealing with combos....I'd have to make a table but suffice to say:

the rerolls are better for DC-rolls of at least 30-ish and less then a few rolls in a row....however,
obviously the rerolls don't help much after you run out so are less effective the more rolls there are or the worse the DC's are themselves.....if the DC is 101, you have 0% of passing with ANY number of rerolls but a 19% with primarch buff.

-edit- this makes me think this captian guy is pretty careful, its like he has lots of fallbacks like you mentioned but that once things go to hell in a basket his plans fall apart eventually and hes back to "norm". So I would say this is a pretty good trait, good job daemon hunter, its not that bad as its descriptive in the effect itself.

Once again, I thought Command meant lead from front style command... :V

Also, ouch. Damn hard to believe they'd bite the bullet worse then us.

One thing I think people need to remember is that our Primarch and our Legion by proxy are getting really well specced at dealing with Chaos bullshit. That kind of seems to be Kesar's thing. He's studying the Warp and that's allowing him to deal make anti-Chaos stuff. Yeah, there's a corruption risk, but we can't let fear of that risk dictate everything we do.

Again, hopefully the loot will be worth it. If we get some really good shit, then the Emps and probably the AdMech would happily help us rebuild our Legion.
