The weird part was that it wasn't always this way, it used to be a neutral but highly spiritual native American place, but like all things, it got too easily corrupted somehow.
When I played the three games I was under the impresion that Silent Hill was a unclaimed location "between the worlds" and, as such, a site where supernatural spirits can be contacted and paranormal events can take place.
And then the Cult of Samael took root there, when "Samael" was summoned and when Harry Mason send "Samael" back to the abyss "Samael" realiced that Silent Hill was free state and claimed it for Himself.

the wikis say that it's also a physical location connected to this other world. Hence, why the pure souls remain untouched and only see a normal place (the physical world), while the unpure start to see an awful world that they get sucked into.
although Samael taking over there in the other world would make sense as the wiki states that the Native Americans were always respectful of it and never tried to enforce their will on it nor did they think of trying, because to them that would be crazy. But The Cult of Samael could've gone ahead and done exactly that.
hence, Silent hill got corrupted badly. As usual, the worst of humanity ruins everything when they push what is supposed to be a neutral place into judging people, not only by its own standards but also by human (aka religious nutcase) standards.

Meanwhile there is no evidence that suggests the contrary to what you say, there is also no evidence that they didn't try, my headcanon is that they didn't had enough knowledge or power to impose their will in that place.

It was difficult trying to navigate a way out of this cursed city when the fog was still so thick that you couldn't see more than ten feet ahead of yourself, or at least it felt that way to Terry and others. Mr. Handy now had to drive more carefully since Terry was still in the backseat watching over Karina.
And even though Karina was no longer bleeding, she was still badly concussed. That kinda made sense… it might not be a good idea to be fiddling with your own brain with healing magic if you couldn't even think straight at all. Might accidentally damage something vital in the process….
….. Great, now Terry was worried that Karina might've done just that. What if she was brain-damaged forever???
No, he shouldn't be panicking like this. Deep breaths… take a deep breath and try to think logically. What were you supposed to do in case of a concussion?
Let's see… In the first 48 hours, you should overall limit activities that require high mental concentration. And have them rest and sleep in a dim room with other people to watch over them. That was all he remembered from the various doctors when his fellow army men had gone through something similar.
The only problem was, they weren't in a situation where they could relax, much less rest. They all needed to be at their full capacity if they wanted to survive getting out of this city since the city itself for some reason seemed hellbent on killing them all.
He looked over at Poitrine who was sitting in the front passenger seat and asked, "You wouldn't have any… spells, that help fix concussions?"
Poitrine tilted her head and said, "Nani?"
She looked vaguely sheepish as she said in very broken English. "Uh…. Only know Engrish basics. Herro, Goodbye. No, Yes. Engrish Crass no good?"
Terry sighed at this and shook his head. Sometimes it could get awkward when Karina's summons couldn't speak English that well, especially when Karina wasn't fully present to translate for the two of them.
This hadn't happened often with Terry though, but the others had mentioned something like that to this effect.
Karina stirred again as she opened her eyes again and then scratched at the side of her head where her head injury had been before only to stare at her hand which was now covered in blood, due to her hair still being soaked somewhat from the blood. It hadn't even dried yet.
Terry pulled Karina close to him, making her sit up. "Hey, Karina. Feeling better?"
Karina stared at her red hand for what seemed like forever, before she finally said, "I need bath time? Let's go swimming."
At this, she must've pulled on her power because Terry could hear a soft ringing noise.

https://hero.fandom.com/wiki/Mon_Calamari Roll 19
Mon Calamari are ichthyoid, fish/squid-like, bipedal sentient aliens from the planet Dac, or Mon Cala, who exist in the Star Wars universe. They were considered by many to be the soul of the Rebel Alliance, as well as a cornerstone in the New Republic. They were also said to be one of the galaxy's most positive, idealistic, forward-thinking, and noble sentient species, especially those from their world's tropical zones, though the ones from the polar regions were a bit more dour and pragmatic.
Effect: Both Terry and Karina gain the characteristics of a Mon Calamari without losing their human appearance. They can now live underwater as well as they do on land. Their minds are altered slightly to become more idealistic and positive while still retaining their human qualities, as well. Aquagirl and Aquaboy perks are maxed out now.
"What was that? What did you get?" Terry wondered, as he looked around inside the car and then outside the moving red battered car for anything that might've looked different or wasn't there before. Only to find nothing.
Karina pouted, and then whined, "Wanna swim…"
Terry huffed at this when he realized she must've gotten a dud. She did mention something like that happening before.
He then rubbed Karina's back as he replied, "Shh, just relax, don't think too hard about anything and just rest for now. We will take it from here, okay? Mr. Handy's driving around looking for the exit for us…"
Karina nodded and then winced when the head movement seemed to hurt.
Effect: for nine hours, this will be in Karina's inventory.
Terry snatched the magazine and gave it over to Poitirine, who took it curiously only for her eyes to widen when she noticed the date on the magazine. Unknown to the other three in the car, she was from the 80s so it was somewhat jarring to see a magazine from the supposed future.
"wanna want look at! Nooo…noo.." Karina protested the fact that it had been snatched out of her hands so fast, but Terry stood his ground.
"You've got to rest, and anything that exercises the brain in the next 48 hours following a bad concussion is bad, alright?" Terry said sternly, and he then dug out a towel and rolled it around into a neck pillow for Karina, put it behind Karina on her neck, and forced her to lean back in her seat so that she could relax.
"...... Kay," Karina mumbled, looking slightly unhappy but accepting. She then closed her eyes, seemingly dozing off rather easily.
Terry found himself envying Karina for being able to do that, considering that he had only taken a nap and this blasted night seemed to stretch on forever.
All this fog wasn't helping out much at all either.
…. Maybe they could find one of those safe haven things that Karina had summoned and they could all rest until the day came? This way they'd be able to leave the city without the fog getting in their way.
Actually, that was a really good idea. Terry then turned on the pip-boy that Karina gave him and browsed the GPS map feature… only to sigh again when he saw that Neo Bowser city didn't register on the map at all in the state-wide map. instead, it only showed all the towns and cities from the old prewar world, which might not even be around anymore.
… but wait, the local map feature seemed to be creating the current layout of the city they were in currently by pinging off the group's movements despite the Neo Bowser city not showing up on the main overhead map? It even showed where they had been before in the city as it couldn't build a clear map of places they hadn't been to before. It could only scan things in close range and thus couldn't show everything else. The dark spots on the map seemed to reflect the fog that hid most of the city from sight.
Terry didn't know much about pip-boys and how they worked but he was relieved that it wasn't completely useless in finding their way in this cursed fog.
He leaned towards the driver seat where Mr.Handy was now driving and told it to follow the directions on the pip-boy map he had open, even angling his arm so that Mr. Handy could see it.
Mr.Handy obeyed the commands and turned the car around in order to head in a very specific direction.
Terry sat back in his seat and relaxed.
But he would find out that relaxing so soon before they had even reached one of the sanctuaries or before they even got out of the city was a mistake, for moments later more of those target-head monsters had appeared in large mobs once again, this time waiting in the middle of the streets for the car coming their way.
The sound of the motor from the battered red car had them swarming the car, causing the car to rock back and fro.
"Wha--?" Terry jerked in his seat, Karina doing the same as well as she was rudely awakened from her nap.

https://guns.fandom.com/wiki/Cam-Stat_X-911 Roll 19
Designed in 1970 by Walter Perrine, the X-911 was advertised by a firm named Cam-Stat as a light and simple submachine gun that could be produced as a low cost. The weapon was marketed worldwide and touted to have multiple applications; a number of prototypes were produced, all in varying calibers, and have been said to have been "thoroughly tested". The weapon was still in the prototype stage in 1979 and is assumed to have been shelved.
Effect: A permanent gun roll this time! This submachine gun is added to the party's inventory and can take 15 and 35 rounds as its ammo, making it very flexible in what kind of ammo it can use. It's also the type of gun that can be taken apart and easily modded into different gun types, such as a "carbine" type. by making "minor modifications" to the weapon and adding a telescoping stock. I get the feeling that the party will get a lot of uses out of this one gun.
"Oooh, that one feels so strong," Karina mumbled as she incorrectly held up the Cam X-911 gun in a way that would violate gun safety rules. She must've been still concussed badly if she completely forgot the gun safety rules like that.
Terry quickly snatched the gun away from Karina and promptly used it to shoot at the Target-head monsters outside, using one of the holes in the battered car instead of breaking the already cracked glass on the car's back windows.
"Get us out of here! Run over the mob if you have to!" he cried out.
Karina grabbed onto Terry just as Mr. Handy obeyed the order, mowing over a dozen of those zombie-like monsters, making the car rock back and fro again.
Effect: Terry gains the Blue ranger coin, awarding him the power ranger abilities such as Super Strength, Super Leaping, Super Durability, Super Climbing, and lastly Morphing (into a suit of blue armor). He also gains some small degree of knowledge from Billy Cranston's knowledge pool, such as the hacker skills, awarding Terry points towards the hacker perk and hand-to-hand combat skills.
Something with some slight weight appeared in Terry's pockets, but he was too distracted to notice as he kept on firing through the holes in the car to try to get those monsters off the car as it sped away from the roving mob.
They were forced to go down a street they hadn't been to before and sped all the way down there as they took a turn in an attempt to reach the haven place they had been to before on the map. Terry had put a locator map marker on there in his pip-boy so that he could keep track of whether they were going the right way or not.
There were some monsters waiting for them on an overpass however, and soon as the red car went under it the monsters jumped off it into the car as it cleared the other side, causing the car to shake and spin around uncontrollably.
"The fuck?!" He couldn't help but curse as everyone in the car held on for dear life, while Mr. Handy did his best to keep steering the car so that it wouldn't flip over.
Effect: for nine hours, this pinball machine exists in this world.
A pinball machine fell from high up into the car roof, right on some of the monsters that were clinging to it, causing them to fall off from the impact. The pinball machine fell overboard as well, right on top of the fallen monsters.
Mr.Handy also activated the gun turret on the top of the car, making it spin around like crazy to shake off the monsters clinging to the top before firing on them.
The car then sped off while angling the gun turret around so that it could shoot at the monsters behind it.
Things weren't adding up at all, at least in Terry's mind. It was as if those monsters were waiting for them all along… but how did they know and predict their every move?
Terry hadn't realized he spoke that question out loud until Karina answered with a slightly glassy expression on her face. "There's an evil presence I can feel. It's so very angry… angry at us? Because we tampered with it? Is it because my summons kept on changing this place?"
Terry stared at Karina, and then let out a frustrated growl. "That's just great!"
That did explain some things at least. Like how those monsters kept on impossibly spawning anywhere and everywhere. He had honestly thought they were more like the normal mutants you'd find out in the wasteland, where they had normal biology that allowed them to reproduce. Or in the case of super mutants, taking more humans and warping them into monsters?
Poitirine was looking back at them with a puzzled expression as she sounded like she was asking what the fuck was going on here in Japanese, and Karina explained something back in Japanese.
Poitrine's look of confusion cleared up behind her red mask, and she said something back in rapid-fire Japanese.
Karina looked thoughtful at this and shrugged.
"Care to tell me what she said?" Terry asked.
"She says, should take the fight to the source. the one spawning all those monsters. If we were to…. Kill the…. Thing…. Then no more evil." Karina mumbled but tried to make herself be heard by everyone in the car. It also sounded like she was struggling to find the right words to explain herself and what Poitrine said.
Terry mulled this over. That made sense on some level… if they were able to defeat this source of evil, then this entire city would become monster-free. And thus the city would then become a wonderful source of resources for anybody wanting to claim it.
But he had to be practical here, unfortunately. He then pointed out, "They nearly destroyed the only source of defense and offensive firepower we had…. My car! And our normal guns barely made a scratch on those tank monster things. How the fuck are we supposed to face up against the thing who can make those creatures?"
Karina woozily nodded. "Know that. And, Poi..she's only here for a few more…can't stay long to help us."
Terry nodded. "That's right. And no offense, I think you should rest first… you're barely making sense and your summons seem unfocused and too random right now. And that concussions can take up to as long as 48 hours longer to clear up. So I think we need to get the fuck out of this city before we can do this. Maybe we can come back and do that whole 'defeating the source of the evil' thing, but not right now."
Karina placed the towel-turned neck pillow back onto her neck and leaned back in her seat while she looked up at the car roof, which now had holes in them from when the monsters had clung to the car roof with their sharp claws. All she could say was, "Yeah."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They managed to get to the Haven place without any more encounters somehow, and with that everyone was relieved to be able to have time to rest at long last, as everyone hadn't realized how tired they were, having spent the entire night in Neo Bowser city!
It was 2 am in the dark time when they went to sleep, and they all only woke up when the sun was out and blazingly bright. Poitrine had disappeared by then, so it was just Terry and Karina again if you didn't count Mr. Handy.
They all had slept in the car together, so Terry had to leave the car to do some stretches. His back popped as he did his morning stretches, and it felt so nice to have his neck crack like that.
With that, he moved back to the car and told Mr. Handy to scoot over to the passenger seat while he took his rightful place as the driver again.
He was pleased to see that his plan had paid off as he drove downwards back into the city proper because the fog was now gone.
He could finally see all the signs and everything else in the distance…. And their way out of the city!
He wasted no time speeding on the highway out of there.
A/N: the rolls were pretty close on this one. They nearly didn't get to escape the city at all, but they were saved by a last-minute high roll.
And a fun fact about serve concussions-- sometimes they take a LOOONG while to recover from and can mess around with your language centers and sometimes causes you to forget some things. So it'll probably take Karina time to recover before she attempts to go after Regan again.
This was the reason why I didn't respond before. I was already rolling RNG to create some hardships ahead of time so that I could write around it.
so I was just like.... 😐😬 when I saw your question. the answer would've been yes, but i knew y'all wouldn't like how that turned out. 😅
No, as that would have ended the story too early. but her becoming comatose for a while was definitely in the cards, if the rolls became low enough.
but instead, the rolls were at 13 so she only got a serious concussion. if it had been at 19-20 then they would've been like action movie stars that defeated all the monsters in a badass way.
I was also rolling for Silent Hill itself, to see if it would spawn more monsters and successfully slow them down. at the last minute, it started getting really low rolls, which meant that they couldn't spawn more monsters.
I headcanon that in-universe they couldn't do that because it was reaching morning and the sun was slowly coming around, and it's at its weakest during the day time. hence no fog, etc. Which makes sense in-universe?
Regan chapter. In case you don't wanna read the whole chapter--
All the men run for home after seeing that giant kaiju monster, and along the way, Regan summons giant croc-like dinosaurs that were most likely the ancestor of all crocs and gators from the past, which freaks out the survey group even more. He also summons pinkie pie's gummy gator sanctuary from the fallout MLP universe permanently, but it's set a few miles away.
Talk about synergy!
Back in Great Falls both Old Tom and Warlord Warren has a meeting over this latest event, where Warlord Warren reveals that other raider factions have been wanting to take over great falls and dethrone him for a long while.
Warren incorrectly guesses that the truck full of mutating chemicals that the survey team might've been from one of the raider factions, and now that this raider faction has endangered everyone in the wasteland by creating those giant mutated animals, he declares war on them all. He then pressures Regan into building vehicles for him again, stating that if he doesn't get him more vehicles by a deadline that Regan will be killed. The purple car alone isn't enough to wage a war with after all.
Regan doesn't want to be killed, so he goes to Old Tom and reveals the replicator he's been working on and what it could do. Old Tom wants to take over Great falls from Warren and sees an opportunity here. So he agrees to be Regan's sponsor and ally.
Regan finally buys a "player home" with help from Old Tom... which is a small parking garage for airplanes with an overhead space to put an office and beds.
He pulls a roll for an evil genius DLC, which gives him a crapload of items. A lot of it would've been extremely useful and helped him out… but it was a roll 12. So all he got was the old abandoned and broken-down stuff. Still, it's enough to help him build a fully working replicator.
But Regan and Kevin are too tired, so they sleep for the night.
==============================================
"The fuck is that? Some giant Mirelurk?"
"It's even bigger than the Mirelurk, Kevin's friend was."
Some of the men mumbled as they stared up at the giant-ass cicada kaiju.
The leader wasted no time. "Quick! Grab everything of import and let's head back fast as possible!"
That startled people into moving fast, as everyone frantically scrambled across the field grabbing up everything they could see before finally running for it.
Regan's shoulder and arm were still paralyzed, so Kevin had to help strap a large backpack to his back before they ran for it.
Thankfully, they seemed too small or insignificant for the kaiju to bother with, although it did pause to stare at them for a few seconds while everyone was running around like headless chickens before moving on. The ground shook slightly while he walked.
This caused Regan to stumble and fall as he ran since the ground wasn't that steady enough.
https://speculativeevolution.fandom.com/wiki/Spec:_Choristodera Roll 5
Choristodera is an unusual lineage of diapsid sauropsids. Having evolved in the late Triassic, at the very end of the reptilian radiation that preceded the reign of the dinosaurs, these animals diversified as aquatic animals. Their relationships with other reptiles aren't well known; some have related them to lepidosaurs, alongside sphenodontians and squamates. Others classified them as part of archosauromorph radiation. Evidence doesn't seem to favor one group over the other in this, sharing features with both.
Effect: those large crocodile-like dinosaurs, most likely the earliest ancestor of modern crocodiles, alligators, and other gator types, appear for five hours. Unlike their modern descendants, they preferred to hide in tall grass instead of in the water, though they also could live in water long term if needed.
Kevin helped him up and the two of them ran for it, and some of the other men were doing the same only to cry out in alarm when some creature thing popped out of hiding to snap at them.
"Watch for things in the tall grass! They've been hiding there all along!" one of them yelled out.
"Great, as if we didn't have enough to worry about with that giant-ass Mirelurk monster back there." Another one grumbled loudly as they eyed the tall grass warily.
"Kevin, can you control them?" Regan couldn't help but wonder.
Kevin just gave Regan a "are you stupid?" look as he replied, "they're land creatures. You know I only control things that live in the ocean and sometimes lakes, right?"
Regan nodded. "I figured. Still thought it was worth a shot."
He then flinched when one of the nearby crocodile-like dinosaurs moved in the tall grass.
https://falloutequestria.fandom.com/wiki/Gummy%27s_Retirement_Hostel_%26_Alligator_Sanctuary Roll 19
In the dark Fallout MLP universe, Gummy's Retirement Hostel & Alligator Sanctuary (GRHAS) was a pre-war alligator hatchery and sanctuary located not far north of Arbu. A nearby train car carrying toxic sludge was knocked over by the Manhattan mega spell, spilling into the hatchery and causing its alligators to mutate into radigators. The ponies of Arbu bred and harvested radigators there for food and trade.
Effect: This building gets permanently placed a few miles away from Regan. When others stumble across this place they'll assume this is where the gator-like dinosaurs came from and that this was their original form before they stumbled across the pools of chems that mutated them.
Kevin looked around suspiciously at the bonging noise and then complained, "Could you not summon anything for one second until we get back to safety?"
Regan chuckled nervously. "Sorry, those things startled me then… but it seems to be a dud this time so it's alright.."
They kept running as they spoke, taking care to avoid tall grasses.
Kevin was holding his weapon that Regan had given him earlier, and was moving around like he was a professional army man while keeping Regan behind him. When one of those dinosaur things lunged out of the tall grass at him, he promptly opened fire.
The crocodile-like dinosaur bellowed loudly as Kevin killed it, spilling its red blood all over the ground.
They went on like this for a while, slow-jogging while carefully avoiding anything that seemed to be hiding or moving.
Finally, the group all collapsed on a muddy hill that was devoid of any tall grass as they all sat there panting. They were all now a fair distance away from the pools and that giant monster thing… which thankfully had walked on away from them instead of chasing them.
"So much for containment and preventing any more animals from mutating. We were too late. This is gonna be the aftermath of the great war all over again when the FEV got loose on the world." The leader of the group despaired out loud.
"We didn't have enough time to destroy all those pools before we were interrupted…" another man pointed out, suggesting that more animals would come across those pools.
"......." The entire group fell silent at this as they rested for a while, mulling over the latest turn of events and the fact that there might be MORE mutated animals later on down the road.
The leader sighed as he got up.
"Well, we've got to go back home and report this to Old Tom. He'll want to know about this… and…." He sighed distastefully, "I suppose the warlord will want to know too."
Everyone else got up, and with that, they all followed the trail of burnt ground back home.
For whatever reason, they insisted that all the men who had gone out to survey for more dangers be part of this meeting, and this meant that Regan and Kevin had to sit all the way in the back of the meeting room while Old Tom and Warlord Warren sat together at a table facing each other.
Regan had tried to get out of it by citing that he needed to see a doctor about his paralyzed shoulder and arm, but apparently, that was easily fixed with an anti-venom cure administered as a shot and Med-x. His arm was still feeling weird as fuck, like it had just fallen asleep and was now feeling the prickles from regaining feeling but he could move it again.
Honestly, Regan thought that was such a massive pain in the ass. He just wanted to be paid for going out there, so that he'd finally have enough money to buy that space he wanted instead of renting that inn room all the time.
The survey leader was now up on the other side of the room fiddling with a projector so that it would project itself into the maps of great falls and Montana which were pinned to the wall. Apparently, the leader wanted to be able to mark the locations of everything he found, all without damaging the maps themselves directly.
The maps on the wall were both light enough for the projector's red markings to show up, so it worked well enough.
Regan barely paid any attention as the survey leader summarized everything that they had found thus far, and about the large mutated animals.
At the mention of mutated animals, they brought out that stupid two-tailed scorpion thing that had stung Regan for the two leaders to look at.
The leader blabbed on for what seemed like forever as he went in depth about the number of mutations that he and the group here had seen….
And with that everyone in the group was made to verify what they had seen, starting with that giant "Mirelurk".
Old Tom couldn't help but ask, "Kevin, was this thing bigger than that Mirelurk creature you called up to help you out?"
Kevin nodded as he stood up for everyone to see him easier. "Yes. It was so much bigger than my friend Rock. you know, He told me that he was the runt of his litter and that he wasn't able to engage in fights to win a mate properly because of that. Seeing how big he was, I didn't really believe it because I couldn't see how they could grow creatures like Rock any bigger. But seeing that other creature… well? I can see how he was a tiny runt in comparison!"
"Jesus. And any chance you could control this bigger creature?" Old Tom asked again.
Kevin shook his head. "I don't know. The smaller they are, the easier I'm able to communicate with them. I've never tried to communicate with somebody that big. I might end up being like a tiny mosquito to that creature… all they'd hear is tiny buzzing, maybe?"
There were murmurs at this while Old Tom looked mildly disappointed, but also somewhat relieved at the same time.
Warlord Warren frowned. He then stood up and paced around the room while he started to think out loud. "Something isn't adding up right here. You say your men found some upturned truck that was transporting those chems? And that it looked as if it was coming this way to our city?"
The warlord then glanced over to Regan, making him sweat slightly.
He then added, "But Regan over there is the only one who's driven around a working motor far as I heard. Are others out there who could do that too? But… why would they drive all the way here holding a van full of dangerous chems that mutates the fuck out of everything?"
Regan stood up too since some of the attention was on him anyways. He then said, "If it helps…. When I was looking around the site, I saw that several of the barrels had writing on them?"
There hadn't really been any writing, but he still remembered some of the names that his information window gave him.
"Oh? What did they say?" Warlord Warren walked over to Regan.
Regan closed his eyes as he did the classic thinking pose. "Umm let me remember them all. Let's see…First Chem was called Smilex, made by somebody called the Joker. Makes enemies die laughing. Don't remember what the second one was called, but it was made by some professor. probably some prewar professor. Third Chem started with a "V" name, which makes people feel pleasure instead of pain?"
Regan opened his eyes. "Sorry, I forgot the rest. I didn't exactly memorize everything."
One of the men said to the other one sitting next to him, "You know, I did see some stuff written on the barrels but they were way too faded for me to read correctly. How did Regan manage that?"
Another man in the group murmured softly, "So that's what happened to George? ….why he had that sickly big grin on his face…"
Warren looked uber-focused on that, as he paced around the room again. Finally, he snapped his fingers. "Aha. Might've been the Red scorpions. I heard they had somebody real smart in their gang, despite them all being a bunch of bloodthirsty lunatics. Somebody who could make all kinds of chems. It would be just like dem to drop dangerous chemicals all over the place like this regardless of the consequences. They're all lunatics, even the smart ones."
Old Tom looked puzzled despite his hatred of all raiders. "But why would they do that?"
Warren then sat down again across from Old Tom and shook his head. "Might as well as tell ya. I've been hearing word on the vine that some of the other warlords are lookin' to edge me out and take over here. Thinks I have it too good here, ya see. Heard rumors that some of them were lookin' to temporarily poison our water sources so we'd have no safe drinkin' water nor water to water the crops. Weaken us so that we couldn't put up too much of a fight when we got invaded. They were putting out a reward to the one who could pull it off. But I didn't see how they could've done that… until now. And it'd be just like the Blood Scorpions to try it in the stupidest way possible."
The survey leader looked shocked. "My god… it all makes sense now. They were driving all those chems up here to put into our water! Had this happened to us… we would've all mutated into monsters!"
Old Tom looked thoroughly grim as he nodded. ".... but they failed to reach us and ended up doing this to the wildlife instead, which ultimately might be far more dangerous to us all in the long run. Jesus."
Both Kevin and Regan looked at each other as they sat down.
To Regan, this was almost too convenient that all of his summonses could easily be blamed on others…. But hey, he wasn't complaining. And it was nice that everyone was buying into his lies so easily!
Warlord Warren slammed his hand on the table loudly, startling everyone in the room.
"Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire" is the second episode of season two of the supernatural crime drama series Lucifer, and the fifteenth episode of the series overall. It was directed by Louis Milito with a script written by Ildy Modrovich. It first aired on the FOX Network on Monday, October 3rd, 2016 at 9:00 pm.
Effect: due to this episode being a crime drama, Regan gets a few points added to his perception, boosting it.
"I declare that we are at war. We aren't gonna play nice with any outsiders anymore." Warlord Warren said decisively, as he got up from the table again to walk over to Regan.
"Regan. Remember our deal about the vehicles you were gonna build me? I want them soon as possible, or you die! Those vehicles are gonna be vital to our war efforts!" Warren yelled.
"Uhh… yeah, sure." Regan smiled weakly.
Old Tom scowled. "Is that really necessary?"
Warren looked at Old Tom as if he was stupid. "Do you really hate me so much that you would rather have a bunch of bloodthirsty lunatics taking over this city than allow me to rule it any longer? They'd do much worse to you and your people than put unknown chems in your water source! And now they've gone and made the wasteland ten times more dangerous for everyone!"
He then turned around and looked at the entire survey group. "Thanks to the new monsters out there, we've all got to beef up our security and our offensive capabilities big-time. We don't have to like each other, but we should all watch each other's back. Better the devil you know, than the one you don't, hmm?"
There were reluctant agreements at this. As much as some of the people here didn't like the raiders for enslaving them and all that, they had to admit that Warlord Axel Warren had a point.
Old Tom said nothing, but he looked deeply troubled by this turn of events.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Regan met up with Old Tom outside of the meeting room after they were all done, and the two of them walked back to District 11 with Kevin following close behind.
Ahead of them, some of the men from the survey group were walking back home as well.
"So." Regan started to say, "you gonna give me my money so I can buy that space with the garage? I urgently need it now, as you've heard."
Old Tom nodded and sighed while giving Regan a pitying stare. He said, "I'll have the person selling that space sells it to you at a high discount. Considering that I doubt you'll be able to meet his demands in time."
Regan perked up at this first, but then frowned slightly when Tom said he doubted that Regan would be able to make anything in time.
Regan then looked around to make sure nobody was listening, and then leaned in. "You'd be surprised. You know that heavy box-like thing I've been lugging around?"
Old Tom looked puzzled. "Yeah, what about it?"
Regan flashed him a sharklike grin. "It's a replicator. Or it's supposed to be anyways. I'm still in the process of completing it."
"So yeah…. Those things could create food and medicine out of almost nothing but pure electricity like that, though you had to pay it chips or money while playing at that casino down there in Arizona. So it got me thinking… what if I built a machine based on the same principles but it was far more general purpose? Instead of vending only food and medicine, it could convert things into other things. Like atomizing all the waste products we don't wanna into precious metals and machine parts?" Regan happily explained it all, while in low tones so that nobody else but Kevin could overhear them.
Old Tom looked appropriately awed at the implications of everything that such a machine could do, but then he narrowed his eyes. "But why are you telling me? I doubt you're telling me because you trust me."
Regan nodded. "You're right, I don't completely trust you or anybody here. But now that I'm stuck here, I need many allies as I can in my corner. People who would help me out in my time of need because they know it's gonna benefit them big time down the road, considering that I'd be the goose who lays all the golden eggs for them."
Regan looked at Old Tom meaningfully at the last part, before continuing, "And to be frank… there's no fucking way I would let that asshole Warren lay his hands on my replicator. He's not intelligent enough to use it, which was evident from the moment I saw that he enslaves others. That's a sign of stupidity, you know."
Old Tom let out a chuckle at that. That comment had been so unexpected that he couldn't help but laugh. He then asked, "How so? I don't disagree, mind ya, but I'm curious to see how you think owning slaves correlates to stupidity."
Regan shrugged his shoulders before saying, "I'm saying this from the viewpoint of a merchant. As a merchant, I'm all about making money and having a nice living by spending all the caps I have. Now in my experience, slavery's a lot like gambling. At first, it seems like it pays out nicely. They keep on giving you a number of caps to keep you hooked, and so you think you'll win the jackpot if you just keep on playing the game. And then you don't realize that you're spending all your stuff more than you're winning. The smarter people would recognize this and see the scam it really is… but the stupider people don't notice at all and just keep on playing."
Regan paused to collect his thoughts and how to explain how owning a slave equated to stupidity. "You see, grabbing yourself a slave might be free in this world. All you have to do is kidnap people and make them work for you, yeah? And at first, it seems like you can profit from this because you can sell all the products of their hard work."
Regan then held up his finger as he grinned. "But here comes the catch-- it takes a lot of resources to keep slaves under control. So you end up having to pay guards and the like for their time, hmm? And the more slaves you have, the more men you need to watch over them. There are all the expenses of keeping them fed, clothed, and a shelter over their heads. I'm talking about both the guards and slaves here. And that isn't even the worst part. The fact is, slavery's so bad for the economy of any town, any city or even the land itself. Sure, Slave owners get rich… but now what? They don't wanna spend all their caps on poor people serving them, even if the poor people aren't their slaves. Because that might be giving poor people some degree of power, ya you see. Historically that leads to a revolt overthrowing the slaveowners, after all.
So they refuse to spend their caps on the local businesses that might really need them and only spend it on outrageously expensive but pointless things. They become so feeble-minded that they don't bother to innovate or come up with new business ideas. Why bother, when they can have the slaves do everything for them? So you see, owning slaves is a sign that you're both lazy and stupid."
Old Tom raised an eyebrow at this. "Ya know, I've never heard such a thorough explanation for why slavery is wrong. Normally, folks just say it's morally wrong."
Regan smirked. "That too, but you have to admit that most people's morals tend to be very flexible, hmm? I mean… people can bang on and on about how something's wrong, but when push comes to shove, their convictions get tested when they're horribly starving, have no money, and so on and forth. That's when they do shit like rob, kill, and so on and forth. So I think appealing to people's morals doesn't work at all…. Instead, caps do all the work and talking."
Tom nodded solemnly. "Sadly, you're right. I've seen some of that myself too."
Regan then tilted his head just as they crossed the road leading to district 11. "So, can I count on you to be in my corner? Remember, I do need all the allies I can get…"
Old Tom mulled this over. Regan was right-- if he was able to create a working replicator as he claimed, then he would be very incredibly useful. And they would have a lot of resources on hand that Warren wouldn't have, giving them the advantage over the raiders.
In fact, this might be his chance to take back the city. Warren would be distracted thanks to the mutating monsters and the other rival raider factions out there so he wouldn't notice where Old Tom's newfound resources were coming from.
Old Tom nodded and stopped to reach a hand out to Regan for a handshake. "Alright. I'll be your sponsor and friend. Don't disappoint me, now."
Regan grinned and nodded back as he shook Old Tom's hand.
It was nighttime when Regan and Kevin finally moved into the garage-slash-living space that he had his eye on the last few days.
As promised, Old Tom had talked the owner into selling the space at a discount in return for…. Something? Regan hadn't paid too much attention to what the former owner had wanted in return.
Kevin wasn't too terribly impressed though as he complained, "This is even worse than the inn we were staying in. I mean, look, there are holes in the metal sheeting here… you can look outside through it."
At this, he walked over to the said metal sheeting wall and poked his finger through the holes to make a point as he stared back at Regan.
Regan grinned. "No worries, I can use my powers to fix this. This was the reason why I let Tom know about the replicator… so that we could handwave it away by claiming that we put that replicator to work."
Kevin raised his eyebrows as he crossed his arms, still thoroughly unconvinced. As much as he really liked Regan and thought of him like a second brother, he still had eyes. He saw how random Regan's powers could be after all.
Regan saw the expression on Kevin's face and scowled. "Yeah? I'll show you!"
With that, he pulled on his power, willing it to remodel the place in some way--

https://evilgenius.fandom.com/wiki/In-Genius_Items_Pack_(DLC) Roll 12
This page is a stub, but it has an image that lists what you get in the game. The items are as follows: 4 armory items, 2 control room items, 1 staff room item, 2 archive room items, 4 barrack items, 2 prison items, 2 corridor items, 7 new doors, and 2 infirmary items.
In-depth what they actually get here:
for the Armory--a large security checkpoint computer that scans people as they come in (this one takes up a lot of space), Melee trainer (basically a robot designed to be a punching bag), a practice shooting range, and a secret agent simulator so you can study what kind of disguise they might use and spot them better.
Doors and corridors-- The most interesting item are the 360-degree cameras. The rest is just a workstation and 7 doors, many of which have futuristic security measures and the like. They're star trek-like doors with flair, basically.
Barrack items--basically four-bed types. single beds with different stylistic choices. One seems to double as weight lift equipment for some reason.
Staff room item-- a giant knock'em sock'em robot game where two people can sit down on opposing ends and pilot large robots to punch each other.
Archive room items-- crime documentary archives. Comes with holo screens and seating.
There is also a further education contraption seat, which engulfs you in a holographic bubble as you sit down and get educated in all the ways of being an evil genius… or a better evil minion.
Prison items-- futuristic technology to hold your prisoners with laser grids, etc. enough said.
Control room items-- communication array. And an advanced computer system that looks like it's straight out of the original Star Trek.
And lastly, infirmary items---Rejuvenation chamber (which increases your vitality) and Skantron chamber (which mutates your minions into powerhouses).
Effect: Wow, this is a crapload of items, which will most likely fill up the entire Garage-slash sleeping quarters that Regan owns. And unfortunately for him, everything was a roll 12…. This means most of them are in very poor condition and would need a lot of work to get them back up to snuff. Only the beds seem in relatively okay condition but everything else might need to be turned into scrap.
Both Regan and Kevin blinked as the entire place was now filled up with what looked like futuristic junk. But it did seem to come with four sets of beds, which were now lined up along the walls where Regan and Kevin had been standing nearby.
Kevin burst out laughing, as he pointed out, "You might've overdone it there, buddy."
Regan could only shake his head as he sat down on one of the newly summoned beds.
"Whatever. I'll deal with all of this shit in the morning. I'm tired."
Kevin sat on the next one and nodded. "Yeah, me too."
With that, the two of them lay there, thinking about the eventful day they just had as they drifted off to sleep.
Honestly, I have actually been enjoying the Regan chapters more too. He struggles a lot more than Karina and seeing him deal with the fallout (heh) of his own rolls is pretty interesting, I wouldn't go so far as to call Karina a Mary Sue though. It's just a natural consequence of the wikis they have available to them.
yeah, the wikis Karina has to are more on the light fluffy side. even if some of her rolls are a letdown, not many of them have any actual serious consequences as a result. and it's shaping her mentality a little bit from what I've seen.
A/N: Not much happens in this chapter other than Karina going back to the vault and rolling things along the way. Something interesting happens near the end of the chapter, however.
==============================
Karina woke up to a head-splitting headache and found herself in an unfamiliar place… until she realized it was that clinic in Fort Peck town. It helped that she was able to recognize Dr. Jeremiah Juilus as he moved over to her side after noticing that she had finally woken up.
"How do you feel?" The elderly dark-skinned man asked as he shone a small light into her eyes to check for any signs of brain damage.
Karina winced as the light seemed to make her headache worse.

https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Batman_Forever Roll 6
Batman Forever is a video game released onto the SNES and based on the film of the same name. It was developed by Midway on a Mortal Kombat engine, and therefore bears great resemblance to MK, including using complex button combinations for everything (including, strangely, simple tasks such as jumping or attacking), as well as utilizing photorealistic graphics.
Effect: Holotape game of the batman game, but it's only around for six hours. It's put into Karina's inventory, without anybody noticing it.
"I feel like shit." She grimaced. "Where's Terry?"
Dr. Juilus answered, "He's aboveground talking with the guards and the hunters, warning them about some city the two of you went to. ……. Alright, the damage seems to be minimal, thank god. Some concussions can cause lasting brain and sight damage, but this one I think you'll heal from safely."
He turned around to grab something from a nearby side table and then handed her some pills. "Those should make you feel better. They're painkillers and a sleep aid rolled together in one."
"I don't want to sleep, I'm gonna go find Terry." Karina said, "So can't you just give me regular painkillers?"
Dr. Juilus gave her a stern stare as he said, "You need a lot of rest if you're gonna heal from this concussion. Doctor's orders. I'll have Terry come down here, alright?"
With that, he forcefully shoved the pills into Karina's hands.
Seeing that the elderly doctor wasn't gonna budge, she finally took the pills with some mild grumbling.
She swallowed them and chased them down with a glass of water, and asked as she laid back in bed, "How long do I have to rest, anyways?"
"Normally you'd be made to rest for two days and then do only minimal activity for a week." Dr.Julius said, but then he held up one finger at Karina's dismayed expression, "But, with the proper medication we can speed up the healing process so that you can be back on your feet by the next day. Is that alright with you?"
"... fine. I'll take the medication. How much do I owe you for it?" Karina replied.
Dr.Juilus's wrinkles around his eyes crinkled up at this as he answered, "Ah, Terry's already paid for everything by selling hunters all his deathclaw remains. So don't worry about the money and just rest up."
The pills she took were already kicking in, and she started to feel drowsy.
She idly laid there watching the black doctor putter around the room as he seemed to be setting up some kind of IV drip with some weird-looking gel inside it. She finally dropped back into unconsciousness just as the doctor was in the process of inserting the IV drip needle into her arm. She hardly felt a thing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next time she woke up, she found Terry next to her.
Terry smiled. "Hey. you're finally awake. How are you feeling?"
Karina let out a loud jaw-cracking yawn as she sat up.
https://scifi.fandom.com/wiki/Mondas Roll 6
Mondas was the twin planet of Earth and was the home planet of the Mondasians. As they found their race to be dying, they transformed themselves into Cybermen. Mondas appeared as an upside-down version of Earth from space. The planet was destroyed in 1986. (Doctor Who: The Tenth Planet)
Effect: for six hours, this planet will be directly across Earth on the other side of the sun as they orbit around the sun. what kind of consequences this will have on the solar system is unknown at the time.
"'M fine…" Karina said through a yawn as Terry looked around.
Terry looked cautious at first but then realized when that soft ringing noise was probably just yet another dud.
"Well, that's good. Um, I want to tell you something that I've had on my mind the past day." Terry said in a serious tone of voice. Once he was sure he had Karina's full attention, he then continued, "I think we should go back to the vault and train ourselves up to become stronger. As we are, I don't think we can take on Regan. For Pete's sake, his summoned monsters nearly destroyed my car and that thing's built like a tank. Had they succeeded in destroying that car I think we would've been thoroughly fucked. We need more cars, more people on our side."
Karina wanted to protest loudly at this, as her first impulse was to go after Regan no matter what so that she could murder the bastard. It took all of her willpower to push that impulse down and really consider the pros and cons of this.
On one hand… she should really be going after Regan, to stop him from getting any stronger. But on the other hand, Terry was right in that the two of them possibly couldn't take on Regan, if he had already summoned allies and monsters like the one in the city. What if Regan killed off Karina and Terry? Then nobody else would be able to stand up to him.
… they needed a small army?
Terry stared at her, watching the conflicted feelings play out across her face as she pondered all of that.
Finally, Karina groaned loudly. "Fine. and I guess we have to get all the foodstuff we looted back to the vault before it all goes bad, anyways."
Terry let out a relieved sigh at that. He nodded, and then added, "Plus, we know where he's planning to go anyways. We know where the city of Hel's at so we still could catch up to him. We just have to play it smart, is all."
Karina slowly nodded back at this. ".... yeah. And plus there's all the crap Regan's been summoning too. Makes it way too easy to track his movements. I'm sure it'll be easy tracking him down."
"Yep. Need help getting back to your feet? I've already got everything packed in our car."
Karina shook her head at that as she pushed off the blankets and swung her feet over the edge of the bed. "Nah, I'm fine. Did you warn everyone here about the city and why they shouldn't go into it?"
Terry nodded again. "Yeah. I also radioed my associates in the army about it too so they'd be warned too."
Karina gave him a faint small smile as she got to her feet. "Good. the more people know about the dangers of that city, the better."
With that, the two of them walked out of the clinic and back to the shelter by the entrance to get into the now battered-looking car.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They briefly stopped by the Japanese prison turned defensive fort to see how Terry's associates were doing, and he dropped off some canned foods for them after Karina unshrunk some of them.
The men settling into the prison were grateful for the extra supply of food, and with that, the two of them were off circling back to Vault 129.
Both Terry and Karina would've settled in for a smooth ride back home, save for the fact that the jagged roads seemed to be tough on their battered car, which was now starting to shake and rattle violently as the car was now barely holding itself together.
Karina found herself jumping up into the air when the car lurched violently going over a rough bit of road and had to scramble to hold on to something so that that wouldn't happen again.
Effect: For the next nine hours, the roads and surrounding areas leading up to vault 129 is now nothing hilly desert. It actually doesn't improve the driving conditions at all as the winds can pick up the sand with an impression of a weak sandstorm and make it hard for any driver to see while driving. But hey, no more bumpy car rides provided that they take it slow and easy.
Terry and Karina groaned loudly when they noticed the sudden terrain change.
"Sorry." Karina muttered, "I should really keep a lid on my abilities."
Terry's frown took on a thoughtful edge when he realized that driving over compacted sand seemed to be easier on the tires, as there was less shaking this way.
"Huh. this might not be so bad. How long does this last?" He asked.
"It feels like a weak one, so it's temporary," Karina replied.
Terry nodded. "The tires feel misaligned and weak, so that's why there's so much shaking every time the car moves. This might be easier on the tires?"
Karina relaxed slightly at this. "Oh… so this summon is actually helping us out? That's good… great even."
The two grinned at each other and the car kept on moving ahead across the now non-existent road for several minutes.
But, the peace was broken up when there was a sudden gust of wind kicking up the sand.
"....." Both Terry and Karina narrowed their eyes as they tried to see everything through the window but the minor sandstorm was getting in the way now.
Mr. Handy piped up from the backseat, "would you like me to take over? I can navigate using my built-in GPS and sensors!"
"I think we might've spoken too early. How the fuck is this summon helpful at all?" Karina couldn't help but grumble as she unbuckled the seat belt and then moved into the back seat so that Terry could nudge himself over to the passenger seat while Mr. Handy took the wheels.
"You know, this is exactly the reason why I never gamble. If you leave everything up to random luck, then sooner or later that good luck is gonna turn bad." Terry said as he settled down in the passenger seat and buckled up.
"Yeah. though to be fair, if I'm more specific in what I want then it usually gives me what I want." Karina said.
Terry raised an eyebrow. "Yeah? Give me some music then! Gonna need something to listen to if I can't see shit out there. Just sitting here for hours isn't my idea of a fun time."
Karina snorted but complied with his request anyways.
Effect: 36 holotapes of the best musical scores from each game are permanently added to Karina's inventory, though they seem to be in well-worn condition. Still serviceable anyways.
"Here you go." Karina handed over the batch of holotapes, which were all labeled as having songs on them.
The song filled the entire moving vehicle, as Karina and Terry sat there in silence listening to it.
At the end of it, Terry nodded. "Not bad, not bad."
He then looked back at Karina with a cheeky grin. "I still stand by what I said. I'd prefer something more dependable when it comes to superpowers."
Karina stuck her tongue out at this. She had just finally gotten used to her power and was kinda liking it, so she couldn't let Terry knock on it without some kind of payback.
Terry just chuckled at that and popped in another holotape.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It actually didn't take them long to arrive at vault 129, as it was a four hours' drive from Fort Peck to the vault if they took the north roads.
All of the men standing guard outside whistled and expressed the appropriate expressions of dismay at seeing the poor condition of the car, for which Terry was very appreciative.
Terry had the car for only a short while, but it was already his baby. He was now gesturing at some parts of the damage as his men surrounded him and listened to his story about how it had gotten damaged so badly.
As Karina was unpacking a lot of things to unshrink them, Cindy came back to the entrance dragging a whole pallet of quarry stone behind her.
What really caught her eye was the fact that Cindy was back to her normal size, a few inches shorter than Karina …. And yet Cindy seemed to be exhibiting some kind of superstrength without being in her transformed pretty cure form. She looked pretty ripped too despite returning to her normal size after all this time, without looking too overly muscled. She also looked somehow prettier than ever, her pale skin taking on a more healthy color.
As the two women made eye contact with each other, Karina greeted her. "Hello, Cindy. I see that you're back to your normal self, just like you wanted. But… I don't remember giving you super strength?"
Cindy grinned. "Yeah. turns out that purifying my body didn't get rid of the FEV serum completely… it just purified the FEV serum of all impurities and transformed it into this distilled idea of what it should be, not what it was supposed to be. Like, the scientists who made the FEV serum had this idea that the ideal soldier was supposed to be a giant person… but they were wrong. Instead, the ideal lies in every person's desire for what they want to be. If that makes sense?"
Karina took the time to think about it, and then nodded. "I think I know what you're talking about. A soldier is no good if they have poor self-image problems or weak inner strength?"
Cindy just shrugged at that. She then looked over at the battered red car and asked, "Your expedition didn't go so well, I take it?"
Karina scowled. "That's an understatement. I thought I was so close to finding out where Regan was, but he created a whole city full of traps and monsters and left it ages before we even arrived. If I didn't know better, I'd say he was predicting our every move. Terry suggested that we needed to get stronger, and I had to agree with him, no matter how much I hated it."
Karina then forced a smile as she said, "But! It wasn't all gloom and doom. We managed to score a lot of food for the vault. I've even got seeds for our new greenroom!"
Cindy blinked at that. "Oh."
The vault door opened up just then, and so Cindy dragged her pallet full of quarry stones through the vault door. And Karina got back to unshrinking all the stuff in her inventory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That night in the cafeteria as everyone ate together, Karina told everyone what had happened on her trip thus far, and when she was done most of the women looked thoroughly disturbed.
"Jesus. That city sounds like it'd be perfect for all of us women to live in, once everyone's awakened. Yet, there are all those monsters…. It does sound like a honeytrap." Lauren said with a troubled expression on her face.
Karina sighed. "Enough of this depressing topic. Did you all finish that hospital room yet?"
Jocelyn grinned. "Almost finished. We'll be able to make a lot of stimpacks in no time at all."
Karina grinned back. "Great! That'll cut down on my need to go rummaging in old hospitals."
She then looked at Iona. "Anything interesting going on with you?"
Iona frowned. "I'm trying to figure out a way to winterize one of the robots so that they can go explore that portal to that winter world you summoned a while ago. I'm thinking that with the fallout shelter machine, we could also build an underground vault over there, but we'll see."
Karina blinked. Huh. that was a pretty good idea there… maybe there was a more habitable place with a warmer climate over there. Then any woman wanting a new start away from this world could go over there.
As if reading her thoughts, Freya commented, "that other world looks like it's stuck in an ice age. Are there even any suitable locations for people to live in? I suppose it could be nice as a vacation spot for those who love winter wonderlands, however."
Maria shivered. "That place's way too cold for me, and this is coming from somebody who lived in northern Minnesota, where we have what feels like long winters from October to May. To call it a Winter Wonderland?" She laughed, before saying in Spanish, "Pfft! Más me gusta freezing infierno!"
Asiri Rose nodded. "Yeah, what she said."
The dark-skinned supermodel then turned to Karina. "I've been wondering… why can't you change that world? Make it more habitable, you know?"
Lauren blinked. "You know, that's a good question."
Karina shrugged. "I dunno if I'm able to affect a whole world like that? Opening portals to other worlds seems far more feasible than that."
Iona grinned. "Why not give it a shot anyway? For science?"
Lauren then said, "And, even if you can't change the whole world over there at once you could at least make the area around our portal warmer so that we can go in there and explore it and look for resources."
It was Karina's turn to blink. Why in the hell hadn't she thought of this until now??
They were all done eating at this point anyways, so all of them got up and moved to follow Karina downstairs to the broom closet where the portal to the other world was. The doors were barely holding back the cold, as they all could see bits of snow blowing in from under the door and the closer they got they could feel cold gusts of wind leaking from the closed door.
Iona had run ahead of them into the laboratory to grab her scanner and then rushed back out in case she was missing out on something big.
Asiri then spoke up. "Remember, thought warm thoughts. I want a tropical beach!"
The other women laughed out loud at this. Even Karina was giggling and shaking her head at Asiri's antics as she moved to the front of the closed door.
She took a deep breath, and thought hard about changing the entire world over there as she pulled open the door, only to be hit in the face with a strong freezing gale of wind--

https://scifi.fandom.com/wiki/Vernia Roll 13
Vernia is a fictional planet in the 1990 video game The Adventures of Rad Gravity. On the planet is a city located among the clouds.
Effect: as this is a roll 13, all this does is cut down the freezing cold to a more manageable level. Think of the coldest fall weather (40°F) instead of flat-out ice-age weather (-70°F). this planet is now cloudy very often and you get clear days only half the days. Not too dissimilar to Uk's constant cloudy days, really. Oh, and thanks to the Verina roll it now has a yellow canary-like bird species that is omnivorous and will attack any unfamiliar lifeforms they see to see if they can take on the lifeform and eat them. Yes, they will attack humans. Have fun with that!
The cold gusting wind slowed to a stop, and Karina stared out from the portal's entrance to look into the world.
It all still looked mostly the same to her, but it was now considerably much less cold than it was before. It was merely chilly right now.
"I can't believe that worked. I wonder if this actually affected the whole planet or just the general area…" Karina wondered out loud.
"Even if it's just this area around the entry point it's still an improvement," Isabella said as she moved closer to the door, "I no longer feel like I could freeze to death just by walking close to this portal."
The other women agreed once they got close enough to feel the chilly weather for themselves.
"I feel like I should be wearing fall colors and sipping at my pumpkin-flavored coffee." Jocelyn joked, as she stepped close enough to feel the slight chill, which reminded her of fall.
Asiri sighed. "It's no tropical beach but I'll take it."
Iona shoved her way through the crowd, and then scanned around as she stepped through the portal itself into the other world proper.
She then frowned when she realized she didn't get the scans of Karina transforming this world properly, and asked in a pleading tone, "Can you do it again, Karina?"
Karina snorted. "Why not? I want people to be able to build a town here at least if they want to…"
With that, she mentally pulled on her power.

https://heroism.fandom.com/wiki/South_Park Roll 19
South Park is the titular setting of the TV series of the same name. The location is most likely based on South Park in Colorado, a grassland flat in Park County with the largest town in South Park being Fairplay, Colorado. Since it was mentioned in the Season Eight episode "Goobacks" that South Park is near Route 285, it supports the theory that South Park is based on the real-life South Park, since Route 285 runs straight through real-life South Park. The key difference between South Park in the show and reality is that in the show the town itself is named South Park, while in reality, South Park is a grassland flat, an area, not a town. In the show, South Park's location is never specified but is shown to be part of Park County, Colorado. It seems to be located near the state capital, Denver. Other real towns mentioned in the series are; Aspen, Boulder, Conifer, Eagle, Fairplay, Greeley, and Bailey.
Effect: The town itself is now transposed to a location near the portal. Ironically, since South Park was located near mountains, and this new location is a mountainous area, the scenery around it still looks the same. Had any people come with the town, they probably wouldn't have noticed any difference other than to note that the mountains looked slightly different. However, this town is now officially a ghost town as there were no characters or people taken from the TV show…. Unless the Amazon women decide to settle down here?
A small town appeared out of seemingly nowhere. Something about it seemed strangely colorful and almost cartoonish, despite the fact that they were all realistic-looking buildings made out of brick and mortar.
Iona tilted her head at this. "Aw, I was hoping for another effect that would alter the area…"
Isabella grinned. "I want to go explore this world, starting with this new town. I've always wanted to do this ever since I saw this other world, but it was always too cold to properly explore. Now we have this chance."
Freya nodded, smiling softly. "Yes. maybe we could all just leave our crapsack world behind and start anew here?"
This started up everyone, as they all started speaking at once rather excitedly.
All decent rolls but good lord, that Cybermen world roll though! If cybermen are on that planet then 6 hours will be more tham enough time for them to detect and launch some kind of invasion on Earth. That would be the worst case scenario but hopefully that is not the case.
Well, the planet is now habitable and there's even a city just for them. Since it's a 19 and seeing how Bowser City was made, the shops and houses probably even have a bunch of food.
And the death canary seem to be the only local lifeform, so they'll die out soon enough if she doesn't roll a bunch more animal population to colonise the planet, unless they start hunting eachother, wich can't be good for their numbers either.

The rule is that unless the roll is a 20, the summoner cannot summon characters or people. Unless they're generic background animals, those the summoner can summon as they'd count as items/food if the summoner kills them for food, fur, things like that.
so the planet is empty. However, it does have a lot of cyberman tech lying around... and so if the Zetans are still hanging around in space they can easily invade the planet and take its' tech. beam everything back into the motherships and study them. Surely the Zetans wouldn't be so stupid as to replicate a cyberman though... right??? Right??!
The song filled the entire moving vehicle, as Karina and Terry sat there in silence listening to it.
At the end of it, Terry nodded. "Not bad, not bad."
I know it's probably unintentional, but since that link goes to a full OST, it still gave me a silly moment to imagine them hitting "play", sitting in silence for the next four hours as the whole linked track plays, then just summarizes the whole thing with "not bad, not bad".
I dunno, man. I've been trying to make this feel like a fallout story, just with wiki powers tackled on. but there are some chapters where it does feel more like a wiki story than a fallout story. XD;;
