The Adventures Of Doctor Curlyhair, Girl Genius!

So, is the patch done to remove some of the age restrictions?
No, she's still age restricted on some things. This particular patch is to deal with the various freebies she should have gotten in the beginning and alterations to things that are otherwise redundant. I've got most of the next chapter written, but it might be delayed due to holiday stuff especially as I'm covering for those people who have family responsibilities.

[Beginning patch.]

* Perks This Chapter *
Noooo! One more line at least, you acursed tease! Why such a sudden cliffhanger, why?! I feel like the Coyote running into the brick wall after the Road Runner managed to pass through the painted on tunnel entrance.

*cries tears of Anguish*

Edit: Ahh, your response makes it clearer that the pre-patch updates were the hint, still felt almost painfully sudden but most of the burns are alleviated.

I wonder if that shipgirl retrofitter will work with Dragon? Dragon + MCU Helicarrier mixed with No Mans Sky tech and lots of Uru. It could go "Eh, close enough."

While I suspect Retrofit was meant for Kancolle Shipgirls, I could see it applying to Azur Lane shipgirls, which are far closer to Curlyhair's baileywick. Even better if it applies to Arpeggio mental-model types which Taylor could far more easily convert Dragon into.

Damn the patch is seriously going to speed up the building of materials and parts. MCU we only got to see the factory ring as a ruin but this is probably a fully operational forge ring with the time perks Taylor can probably push out several helicarriers or other stuff for the DARPA and the scientists to make.

She can build Sentinels. What would happen if one of the Nier androids (or Dragon) got to drive an Uru-metal one of those in an Endbringer fight? Of course, would need to acquire enough metal, first...

Would Retrofit apply to one of those? A mythic warbot defender of humanity?

EDIT:

If stuffed in a Sentinel, should we hope the 'driver' also has a human-scale body for social interaction?

I'm pretty sure the listing for the perk says Azur Lane, so it's presumably that one by default.

It would be interesting if Taylor manages to build some artificial shipgirls... AL ones would be more reasonable than Kancolle ones (Arpeggio ones even more so but the perk is not for those).

Quite interesting as the development of Labors to fight the Endbringers and see them in action, with Armsmaster managing to "hurt" Leviathan, enough to be able to analyze it and understand its true nature; of the Anti-Endbringers actions, the Yeet Cañon interests me, because if they were able to use it successfully, would that have any effect on Eidolon? (as to send him also away together with the Endbringer)

Also seeing Dragon and her reaction when Taylor, sorry, Doctor Curlyhair, offers the A.I. (to which they reveal that they know what she is) her own Gynoid body, since it would be a body like the Yrha's (and the mention of Taylor, about A2 and 2B, appreciating the idea of having an older sister), with Dragon having the appearance of Commander White?

And being at that time where she wins as Perk to Nidavelir (Avengers Infinite War), basically the Stellar forge (XD) to process Uru, the metal from which Thor's hammer is made (and also a few and convenient samples of that metal that they appear in the supply world after the upgrade of the Patch, mm, imagine that Taylor gives her mother, the Destroyer - the weapon/armor that appears in Thor's first movie -); Another perk being something related to Shipgirls (another of those that will be accumulated, until she gets another perk with which to match), and one more that accelerates her construction ability significantly

But the truly interesting is the Patch to the system, which would last nine months to be implemented (conveniently ending for Tay's birthday), in addition to the notifications of the countdown for the installation (quite teasing); already when installed, it makes significant upgrades to everything Taylor had previously won

Although there is the doubt why the patch/update, it asks Taylor to be still and not doing anything dangerous, for the truly important, something to see in the next chapter, I suppose

Good luck and keep it up

The Yeet Canon interests me too. Will it be like its IRL namesake: the HiPoint Yeet Canon? Will it be cheap, ugly, and get the job done?

It would work on Eidolon, if they used it on him. Just because he can subconsciously communicate with them, doesn't mean he magically gets affected too. Well, unless magic gets involved.

I know it's not exactly like that, but I find it amusing to think of Cauldron's wtf faces, seeing Eidolon suddenly disappear, after launching Leviathan away with the cannon.

I have to admit, I like SOME shipgirls, but thats less than five of them and even so i'd prefer to go into Diebuster's Buster Unit #7 for the ultimate shipgirl anyway.

Still hoping for some xcom engineering to help reverse engineer tinkertech.

Oh! On that coversation about artificial ppl, what about the Guilty Gear franchise, with both Dizzy and all the Valentines!? You know, Jack-O, Ramlethal and Edelfelt? If nothing else i can't help but feel that Queen Dizzy would be a fantastic nanny.

Finally, I am so happy Taylor has finally embraced SCIENCE! And proper mad cackling.

Wait, when in canon does Lung show up in Brockton Bay? I look forward to robot vs kaijuu

Wait, can they yeet YoRHa units to the moon to get a moon base started? What about mars?

Around 2007-2009. It was after Assault/Battery transfers to ENE, but before Emma was attacked.

Why would they need to yeet the YoRHA units to the moon? She has space ships.

On a side note, I wonder if the car accident still happen. I want to see what crime against nature Taylor turned the family vehicle into. Same for the alley and Emma.

Sphere built a Moon Base. Taylor could reasonably deploy forces there to refurbish that, and expand it. Making all that work - she'd arguably need teleport gates, so people could just walk through, and become Luna-tics.

But. Taylor is working pretty flat-out, even given all her speed-building tricks. So, she'd need some justification to deploy on Luna. What might she have, apart from the cool view of Earth?

She's a pre-teen girl. Cool view is enough. However, to justify it to her supporters? Teleporters - possibly even single-end teleporters. Makes gathering for endbringer attacks much easier, aside from completely upending the transportation industry.

Maybe... If a teleport gate is needed at each end, and the minimum teleport distance is a light-second... It'd be interesting if getting away from Endbringers involved a trip to Luna?

(Often it is the restrictions/limitations on tech that make it work well in stories...)

EDIT:

Is there a Forge entry which changes Luna into Dahak? Just asking...

Search for "Hope through overwhelming firepower" over on SB. With Taylor Mid-trigger, Diebuster 7 runs into QA, damaging QA and accidently wiping her programming clean, fixes and reloads her with her own programming - Slow conversion of Taylor into something new, and horrifyingly powerful. Reality will never be the same.

[Nidavallir upgraded and merged with Auto-factory.]
That forge explicitly makes and is able to work Uru, in addition to the sheer power output that comes from stellar engineering in general.

I feel like it should be obvious what it means to combine that with the factory that can automatically make anything less than or equal to its own technology level if you supply the blueprints and materials.

Works with, yes, I thought it needed to be supplied with Uru-metal from an external source, like the Uru-containing asteroids, mentioned?

Isn't Dragon hard coded to attack other AIs? Or is that fanon?
I believe that's fanon. Richter had other (lesser) AIs, she worked with. The Dragon wiki entry is instructive. Mainly, she can't make AIs, from scratch or by forking.

I feel like it should be obvious what it means to combine that with the factory that can automatically make anything less than or equal to its own technology level if you supply the blueprints and materials.

7.2.1-Auto-Factory (100CP)(Starbound)(Facilities Technology):
A room full of various arms and other tools, this factory is designed to be programmed with the blueprints for any item that you know how to create, allowing for raw materials to be fed in from the ship's storage, and be turned into whatever items are programmed into the factory. Warning: Only items that run on purely mechanical / scientific principles can be made here. If something requires magic or more esoteric energies to be created, it will require your personal touch to actually make, though individual parts could still be crafted by the factory. Can't make items bigger than the room itself, though it can build the pieces for you to put together yourself later.
* 100cp because a 1 module ship costs that.

That forge is magical, isn't it? The tech level is pretty late game? And it is really big. So all three limits of that Autofactory got a mighty big push. It could in theory with the number of other stacking perks push out a few dozen Helicarrier over the weekend, can't she?

So... I know that those British soldiers got souped-up FALLOUT power armor systems modeled to resemble Adeptus Astartes PA suits, but is anyone else wondering about the specifics or is it just me?

As long as it doesn't start whispering about 'Loyalty to the Emperor' we should be happy?
(Main thing I know about WH40K? Not even a nice place to visit.)

((You want to fight them? Use Sardaukar.))
