[EPILEPSY WARNING:]
[As this story uses a lot of animation and gif images, there are bound to be...
Design an Eishalon Contest
SO, I am still doing things behind the scenes to get some stuff done, and real life is also hounding me a bit, but I was told this was a mild possibility so lets, well...

LET'S HAVE A CONTEST EVERYONE!

Basically let's consider this a fun little exercise while we wait for me to get all this done:

Alright so, here's some information:

The Eishalon is the endstage of a ghost. After falling into despair or in general giving up on continuing, the ghost will soon shatter it's halo, starting the transformation from one being to another. After transforming, Eishalons are completely a slave of their emotional state and function a lot more on reactive or instinctive notions than proper cohesive thought. They are more beast than man, so to say.

Now the terror (or beauty, to some) of Eishalons is the fact that an Eishalon is a unique being unto itself. It shares no genetic similarity with any other Eishalon, it shares no relations or in general connection to anything but itself, as the Eishalon is practically born out of what kind of person the ghost was, their beliefs, their spirit and their attitudes, along with what they managed to do in their life that seems to have impacted them in a larger way.

So as some people have already kinda figured out, they are sort of like witches from Madoka Magicka.

Now why am I telling all of this? Well here's the contest's context:

LET'S DESIGN EISHALONS!

Yes! Let's make some Eishalons! We already have enough context clues to get some really nice designs in there, and on top of that theres really no limit to what an Eishalon is, what it can look like and in general what it can do! They all share the common theme of the star-patterned flesh and a mask though, often also a weapon or even weapons or skills on top of that!

Theres no limit to how you choose to present your Eishalon either. You can just write out a description for it, maybe even add bios or backstory or you can even draw it if you feel so inclined! Heck if you want to act it out with live action images thats all fine too. The end result is that we are designing Eishalons!

Now if you feel like you need more information I will supply it as asked for, as long as it isn't going to spoil anything. Also even if you come up with your own story for it and stuff that doesn't line up with Terrene Spire so far it's not really a problem at all, let's all just have some fun!

...Oh right, prizes. Wouldn't be a contest without them!

So lets have some Prizes:

1st place: YOUR EISHALON IS CANON. Yes, it will literally show up in the story! Depending on its design and such I can easily find a place for it to hang out! Now isn't this a neat little setup! Also, I will work out with the winner the context of the Eishalon and where it is in a way so it all makes sense so, don't worry, I can make this work.

2nd place: A STRAIGHT ANSWER. Yes, just like before where everyone voted for a straight answer, you get one, PERSONALLY! For me to answer truthfully with no spins or hidings! Most probably answered in PM though.

3rd to 5th place: ANSWER TO SOMETHING LOREWISE. Ask about souls. Ask about why ghosts work like this. Do elves exist in daros. All those, little side questions can get an answer here! These will definitely be posted in the thread.

Now, the deadline for submissions is:

FRIDAY THE 19TH!

Have all your Eishalons submitted by then and things will be delightful!

And that's the roundup! Let's have some fun and design some Eishalons!

Contest Judging and finalists found, final vote begins
Welcome, to the massive JUDGEMENT post! It's time to find out five finalists!

Without further ado, let's just get down to what we all were waiting for: The commentary and critique!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Camellia 's entries:
Entry 1: Floral Eishalon W/ scissorblades.

This design is quite elegant! I really like the colored version as well and the weapon is very interesting. You might not have offered much in the way of descriptions or even a name but I really like this one just on style alone! A great start to a fantastic contest!

It's designwise got a lot of things going on but I can just imagine its majesty in movement!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Vindictus 's entries:
Entry 1: Flowey the flatworm shrimp.

Weird name that I gave it aside, this one is pretty interesting. I like the whole form of it and the implied methods of attack with its lamprey mouth tentacles!

Entry 2: shitty as fuck MS Paint Eishalion.

Please don't call your work shitty! It is but inexperienced! The eishalon though is cool! I like the four legs and the, again, lamprey mouth arms. That can give a nasty MED or LNG range stab and bite!

Entry 3: Tri-arm Swordsman.

Heeheee, sorry, I just imagine this one rolling along the ground like a fleshy wheel, tossing the sword forwards and catching it as it rolls. It also really recalls the imagery of the shadows from Persona for me. In general I like it as well.

Entry 4: The Thresher.

The Thresher looks like some menacing machinery, I imagine all its claw arms rotating and cutting as it slowly approaches, sorta like all "im just gonna go forward while swinging my arms and whatever happens, happens." Really cool!

All of these designs are really interesting while using very little amount of detail! Nice silhouettes as well.

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@ShieldCrown 's entries:
Entry 1, 2, 3: Three interesting Eishalon designs.

Design 1: Pretty nice! I imagine some kind of ninja mage with this format. I can see the face on the body screaming bloody murder as it moves as well.
Design 2: This whispful womanly form with some kind of mirror-like conduit is captivating! I can see it dancing as spells fly around them.
Design 3: Hooh this one is menacing! It could stalk from shadows and throw wicket knives and weaves with its bandage arms.

All of these are at least visually interesting to look at!

Entry 4: The bellringer.

This one is... Vague. It's more like a story snippet than an Eishalon. It's interesting and a nice setup but it really doesn't give much more than a... Plot incentive? Maybe? Sorry, I don't know what to call it.

Some nice designs and a nice write up though. I am happy you took the time because this is all good!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Raguna-Blade 's entries:
Entry 1: Jazz Band The Lotus Eaters.

I really like the idea of the "jazz Band"! It will be hard to convey the music part of its performance but it would be really cool all things considered! I love how its sort of like a wandering flower tendril person that will unfold into a tentacle orchestra. Really nice idea!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@GardenerBriareus 's entries:

Entry 1: ALEPHEBETH.

I really love the detail that's gone into making this one, even though its general shape is, up in the air. As far as I get it it's an ever "expanding" mass of polaroids that shatter into dust until getting too far from the core, with a mask circling in and out of this ever continuing photo-splosion.

It's powers are pretty well defined and it would be an interesting challenge to animate! I like it.

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@King_Rule 's entries:
Entry 1, 2, 3: Vacuous Polliwog, Top-hat Gunner, Web snitch.

Entry 4, 5, 6, 7, 8: Vessels of Storms, Sloth, Hording, Pain, Lover's Vessel.

Now HERE is a large variety of forms and functions! Let's take them from an end then!

1: Frog vacuuum. Very fascinating, kind of a deathtrap to encounter in a hallway. Also I just love the word "polliwog".
2: Even though the design of this one irks me a little oddly, I like the IDEA of it a lot :> Really interesting form and function though.
3: Obligatory spider monster. Really neat one though, I like the incorporation of the mask as the head! That's quite neat.
4: THUNDER TWINICORN! I can just see a horde of these galloping over the data plains, eating the bit grass. Really majestic!
5: I like this little fat friend! Well, big fat friend. Also coincidentally it shares a "vessel type" with the bloated corpse on the bridge! I love its fluttering wings.
6: Pot mimic! I really fancy this one! Ironically if it won the contest it would kind of ruin the surprise, on the other hand I like it, I like it a whole dang lot!
7: Interesting duel dynamic with the lovers vessel. The two really do compliment each other like that.
8: This one is all kinds of horrifying! It's like a slightly friendlier silent hill monster! Or a slightly more horrifying steven universe monster! Stabbering!

All together a really nice massive effort of work here! I am impressed and intrigued!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@AbZHz101 's entries:
Entry 1: Vessel of Contentment.

Now THIS thing is interesting, on top of giving a curious use for an Eishalon that ISN'T combat! I really like this idea :> and on top of it it's portrayed as a cross between a folk legend and a factual part of the world. Probably those who have never witnessed it has always thought it a myth!

Seriously though, this is pretty neat!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Genon 's entries:
Entry 1: The Colossus.

This is a hulking monster of a creation! Imagine how many would need to have died in that suicide pact to create this behemothian monstrosity! A calamous act of massive proportions indeed! Designwise I kind of like it, and the whole shtick of fielding units is pretty interesting! Though, something rubs me the wrong way about it and I think it's the overblown measure of... Well, being overpowered. It seems just straight up like its own insane military force and as far as we know Eishalons aren't that coordinated, yet, I digress. I still really like it all things considered!

Entry 2: Vessel of Influence.

Now here is a straight up end of dungeon boss! Imagine this thing scouring an old fortress, having taken over after the owners were destroyed or moved on. Decked out in torn garbs and raising knight-likes to guard its shattered passageways, this could be a really interesting encounter all things considered! The knights might need to toned down a minimal amount since wielding just ALL weapons is, insanity but, maybe I read it wrong? Maybe it's just "potentially" all weapons, AKA one knight wields one kind of weapon but they could technically have any weapon at all but EITHER WAY!

I like it :>

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Evaunit02mark1 's entries:
Entry 1: Vessel of Love?

Hehehe, not a lot of factual details on this one but I like the design a lot! I wonder if it just glides along the ground? Also the general "IM DOING THIS CAUSE I LOVE YOU!" Thing is TERRIFYING! It also looks like it could deal a seriously mean blow with maybe lasers or a blow from that shadowshape its hiding in it's wing!

A nice silhouette and neat design all around!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Archeo Lumiere 's entries:
Entry 1: CHAOREX XELUMIRE.
Addendum 1.
Addendum 2.

Well here's someone who really worked on designing the whole backstory! Maybe not as much the ghost but rather the Eishalon's! A lot of detail added along with a lot of writeups to really get the feel for the character as a whole. I find the ringblade thing fairly interesting as well, could be a neat smaller plot to follow! It's dances could be fun to design as well, along with it's general combat style. Altogether a large well done job!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@DrumsInTheDeep 's entries:
Entry 1: Persistent Ice Wolf.

Ah, the ancient tale of sisyphus and the rolling stone. A task completely impossible yet all you can do is keep going. What a horrid fate. I really like this picture and the whole "howl" it seems to be letting out. The tears were a nice touch as well! It could be very interesting to meet this creature stuck somewhere, its howls screaming out, scaring every critter away. Nice form and design :>

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Dermonster 's entries:
Entry 1: Timid Bulk.

dis is da wurst entre evur. 0000/10.

Jokes aside, it's still a neat idea! Could be interesting for it to be guarding something somewhere, maybe not even out of choice but by happenstance. Imagine scouring some old ruins and finding a weirdly well preserved set of doors. Could be a nice "oh shit!" point to find out that was the Eishalon using the facade to guard itself :>

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Lordsservent 's entries:
Entry 1: The Executioner.

Another guardian boss type! This one is fascinating though as they seem to guard the resting place of all that fell there by their own hand, forever angry! I like the idea of the juggernautian size and the, maybe trick-like axe though! I can see this as an interesting encounter! Detailing some moves was a nice touch, and it's tenacious nature is definitely something to fear!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Ridiculously Average Guy 's entries:
Entry 1: Mirrorage.

Ah a duplicator, truly a classic! I like the shroud/mirror duality of this one. Could be fun if the copies themselves are wobbled like the funhouse mirror's shape, so all these misshapen copies of you come waddling at you menacingly! I like what little we can see of the design as well, the face itself being particularly interesting.

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@WhoAmEye 's entries:
Entry 1: Broken Angel.

Here is an interesting concept, another technically passive or helpful Eishalon, but a guardian type! Theres a lot of solid background to this and it's interesting enough visually as well to really strike a chord! Could be very interesting to work in this floating creature, ever seeking yet running away. Hmmm. The colorblind aspect is also pretty interesting, being that the color war made no sense to someone who couldn't see the difference at all. Very interesting!

Entry 2, 3, 4: Vessel of Rage, Hubris, Sanity.

1: Not much explained about it's form or mask but it's rampaging design is interesting, along with the background information!
2: An Artistic Eishalon! Veeery curious! The mechanics of it's fight would be particularly interesting, as it would have a high interest in keeping things repaired as well as breaking those who broke it's things! Very cool.
3: This one rubs me the wrong way, if only because it makes me think of a certain pink horse and it's fanon incarnation. Could be interesting as a sight gag maybe?

Either way you really stretched your legs with these designs, I am very much impressed with the range of ideas at hand here.

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Kolper 's entries:
Entry 1: "He died laughing".

A Story! How fascinating. A fall that leaves a curious black red feathered bulb rooted firmly in the ground. I really like the implication of the many arms and the shrill laughter being all that rings from it at this point! A terrifying enemy to meet no matter what.

I like it :>

@Radek 's entries:
Entry 1: "IT WASN´T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS!!!".
Extension.

A mystical fallen angel stands in our way! The fire and shadow elements are nice and cool and in general it has an interesting setup! I like it's implied off human shape and the setup of the skills is also a nice touch. A fun encounter to figure out more about, could have a lot of interesting tidbits adding to this setup as well!

It's nice :>

@Familiar 's entries:
Entry 1: Curlsnake.

Hohohoh! Well SOMEONE is emulating me! I feel so... Copied! Either way this design is really nice. I love the twisted form of it and it's uncurled shape is interesting as well. As Xander said, this one seems mystical in nature. It even invokes ideas of the Denizens from homestuck in my head! I like this one a lot.

Entry 2: Henry.

Heheheh! What a surprise! I really like the mouth => arms thing! That is an interesting setup! AND HEY you remembered the Halo! Good job on that one.

Also Henry is a fun name for an Eishalon. I like both of these a LOT.

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Ms Lilly 's entries:
Entry 1: Blue Lady.

Ooooh! Oooohoohoh! This is COOL! This design speaks a LOT to me, and the ice element is a nice touch! I love the flowing hair and the odd framing of the halo! You even incorporated the host! This haunting design is absolutely decadent and I love it a whole lot! Very, very nice! I like this a whole dang lot! There's not a lot of info but based just on design, what little words there are and its silhouette, this one is NICE!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

@Rukatin 's entries:
Entry 1: The hero who couldn't care anymore.

Hoohohoho this story reeks of a Dark Souls boss intro. Imagine seeing that as you knew you only had 2 Estus left! I always enjoyed the idea of the broken hero, by the way. Conceptually, the man who held good so high and yet all he has left of it is the largest shrug that even Atlas could feel where he stands. Poetic, in a way. Tragically beautiful.

Also knights are cool.

Now THIS is a fucking leviathan of a drawing and backstory! A massive setup with an interesting payoff to boot! Interesting backstory and visual design as well. The consuming aspect of it came a little bit out of the blue but it's something you can live with. Again an Eishalon taking many forms though, but no matter it IS still interesting and pretty well thought out! This one might be a great contender for the victory run!

I really like this one, is what i'm saying.

@TehAwesomestKit 's entries:
Entry 1: TRIPPY.

Hehehehe this one is interesting just for the margin of both tripping people and making them trip, making it's name a double layered pun. Neat in theory and execution, its blobbish shape probably gives an easy time for it to extend tendrils to trip up people with. Its pacifist and giggling nature is also to be most annoying, if I have to say so myself!

Pretty neat concept.

@Runek 's entries:
Entry 1, 2: Hollow Loss, Caged.

1: Oh my isn't THIS one a lewd implication, what with wanting to stuff it's hole! Jokes aside, I like the hand hook hand door car door-sorry, the three pronged hook idea. Dragging things in just to try to fit them is a weird and cruel modus operandi that would be VERY interesting to work with! I really like this one as well!
2: Turtle fighter! I like the shell aspect and how it seems more turtle-like than straight up humanoid! Like a sort of, broken knight of the animal kingdom, scared of being caught and wanting to run free! Hheehe yes I like this one a lot as well.

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

Jeeegus you guys did not make it easy for me to choose just five... Hahahaha, I hope you don't lynch me for the ones I chose!

Altogether, 42 Entries were made by 23 people! Thank you all for the fantastic interest and, really, sincerely just... Thank you, thank you all for reading and commenting and just, deciding that you want to bother with me and my mad meandering. With the individual judging out of the way, we have to ask ourselves the most curious question:

WHO'S THE WINNERS?

Well, here are what I perceive to be the five FINALISTS:

A) @Ms Lilly 's Entry: Blue Lady!
B) @Runek 's Entry: Caged!
C) @Janadus 's Entry: Mercy!

Now mind you, I am saying FINALISTS. This is not a list of the winners in order, as can be seen by me using letters instead of numbers.

No, see, sadly I can't see myself being the final authority on this matter, that honor is still again in the hands of you all, my dear readers who enjoy my presence! So, Here is the deal of the final round:

All of you have 5 "positions" to vote in, like this:

1: gives 4 points

We now return to your regularly posted Terrene Spire. Uh, I mean, we already returned to it, uh. Hm.

HOLY SHITOLY GLAD WE ARE FINALLY DONE. Also, yes this is meant to be layered like that. Think about why! You might realize it. And yes, with this Terrene Spire resumes. Continue talking though! I appreciate it all, as I have already said.

Fan-work contest judging and finalists found. Final vote begins.
After a month and a half of downtime, trying to finish up the Satsuma Tutorial arc and fighting my depression and anxiety, I guess it's finally time to finish the fan-work contest! Welcome, to the second JUDGEMENT post! Let us begin:

@ShieldCrown 's entries:
Entry 1 - 8: A grim cavalcade of Eishalons!

There's a long list so let's go over each of them and then all of them thematically together afterwards:

Design 1: A design recalling the idea of the grim reaper! I like the horns and the mask, and the scythe is folded up like a proper war scythe!
Design 2: Cloaked angel weeping tears, Hmm, hmm. Not much to say here.
Design 3: The Lawbringer carries it's own heat it seems! I dig the teethy mask and the cross-hair eye!
Design 4: The Chef is probably the most bulbous of the designs, its got three (or four) hulking elephant feet and it carries SICK BURNS!
Design 5: The forgotten child reminds me of five nights at freddies, and that gives me the creeps for that regard alone. Also does the child and the angel share a mask? They are identical!
Design 6: The Scholar, with their book and glasses, remind me of the fanon idea of Gaster from Undertale, though I dig their illuminati symbol!
Design 7: Wrathful Fighter's got a big fist and seems ready to use it! Their beast-like mask is nice, though it's shape is a bit wobbly?
Design 8: Now the Dancer is very interesting, and probably the most unique of the designs! I really dig the segmented floating limbs and the stabby shoes and fingers!

Altogether, these designs are inspired by the souls from Undertale, which kind of makes them a set by default. I like them, but the reoccuring form of a none-descript coat is maybe a bit lazy? When it comes to quantity though, it's not something to neglect. I like them all, though the "GENOCIDE" and the Dancer ones are my favorites!

Entry 1: Lore Piece: Green Faction!

Heheheh I like the fusion of dwarven tech and druidic reverence and control over nature! The lore piece hints of enough of their terrible power, yet never hits home with something definite, allowing the mind to run wild with what kind of terrible constructs they made. Could be a fun direction to explore as well!

Entry 1: DON'T FORGET; YOU'RE HERE FOREVER. Dex in Daeva's net!

Heheheheh this ones nice. It, it also kinda hits home with the feeling that I am completely tangled in my work. I couldn't leave it even if I wanted to! I will probably craft stories until my demise.

The flashy version is a BIT hard on the eyes but, EH, so is the Daeva!

Entry 2: OrdigrO's!

Ppfpfffffhahahahahaah!! I love it! Satsuma would too!

Entry 3: The Creation of Zest!

Holy SHIT. This one is actually really cool! I really like Iggy half coming out of the TV, the use of the chop sticks instead of just their hand, the freaking Chatterimp of all things grabbing Zest, I mean, woah! Awesome!

@Vindictus 's entries:
Entry 1: One o'dem newfanged frogs!

Very cool! I love the detail shot of the mouth, with the extra set of teeth inside for latching on! Their derpy frontal face is cute too! Could see a potential for these critters in the Falling Lakes!

Entry 2: Stalk armed Cyclops!

Heheheh! I like this one on the merit that it has the body of a Glukkon from Oddworld! It's eye screams "Mike Wazowski" to me though. I think it's the eye and the teeth together? It's still cool!

@VoiceoftheAbyss 's entry:
Entry 1: Cataclysmic Poem!

Very nice, very "doomsday" as well, speaking of the ghost war and then a feint little light of hope for this dying child! I can only presume that this is about Briggs and Zest at the end! I uh, I can't see the rhyme structure, but I am also not that taught in poem types, so it might be a form I don't know of, but I still like it a lot.

@King_Rule 's entries:
Entry 1 - 6: A whole series of critters and curios!

Let's start from the top then!

Design 1: Vass: I still like this one, and I see you retooled it into a person instead of an Eishalon! I like their "mimic"-like state when just resting in the Pot, and I like their bag of holding concept! The idea of a backpack buddy is cool too, so I dig this one a lot!

Design 2: Vessel of Sloth: I remember this one too! Big fat friend is friendly still. Not much else to say though other than... Reminds me of Snorlax?

Design 3: Vessel of Pain: This snappy deathspider clutching a bitey heart mask STILL freaks me out! I like its daggers and the effort of giving both this one and Sloth star flesh has not gone unnoticed!... Why is it eating it's own hands? We just don't know...

Design 4: Lesovik: It's a mushroom man! I like his assymetry with the big arm and the small arm! I dig his staff and his crooked feet! Also you know I love puns. All of Terrene Spire is basically one long running pun gag! Like the fact that "Slagmar" is short for "Slag Marsh" but also when said in danish, it's "Battlefield" (Slagmark) without the K at the end! Wait that's not a pun. OH WELL.

Design 5: The Hermit: CRABS! I love crabs. The prehensile tail is cool, and I like it's lantern! The beard is neat and well, it's a crab! I dig it's shape and it's implied sapience as well! Very cool!

Design 6: Taokoi: Hehehe I get it. Fusion of the Tao, the white black yin / yang symbol and Koi fish! I love the lore bit you wrote, makes them seem like a pokemon!

Entry 7: Playing with Dolls!

Heheheh this one's very cute! A nice little moment between Iggy and Satsuma!

@Archeo Lumiere 's entry:
Entry 1: Lore Point: Green Faction!

People like the color green it seems! A faction of constructors, builders, creators! Very nice! I like the idea of them building across the land, only for their creations to become battlements and fortifications for the more aggressive factions, which in the end proved their downfall, maybe? It's still nice!

@Genon 's entry:
Entry 1: Lore Point: Umbra Noir!

I like the idea of a single unit faction, very very interesting! The aesthetic of the suit and tie, the cane, the coffin, it's like a walking funeral director. The skills, are a bit stereotypical, and the power level and implied unlimited power breakdown is uuuuuuh. Well. It's part for the course with your entries! It is a really cool idea though, don't get me wrong about that.

Addendum: Drawing of Umbra Noir by @King_Rule !

@Reguna-Blade 's entry:
Entry 1: Inclinations!

Niiice nice! Is this a story about Red? I really dig this one! There's a, a gruesome hint of a story, a reason for all the despair! It is VERY COOL! :> Hhahah!

@DrumsInTheDeep 's Entry:
Entry 1: The Ballad of Zest Lavie!

Heehehehe this one has that, offbeat perfect level of silliness! I enjoy the visual of Shrub playing a flute and Zest on the trumpet! The song is also silly but I dig it!

-=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=- -=-=-0-=-=-

A little fewer entries than the last contest, and that's perfectly understandable, given how confusing I made it this time. I am sorry about that! I promise it will be a WHILE before the next contest this time. But hey, without further ado, some stats:

26 entries from 10 participants! Still not too shabby! So, the question:

WHO'S THE WINNERS?

Let's continue in the same rail as the last time, because me judging alone is a tiresome effort, HERE'S THE FINALISTS:

A) @DrumsInTheDeep 's Entry: The Ballad of Zest Lavie!
B) @DaLintyGuy 's Entry: Lore piece: Green Faction!
C) @Familiar 's Entry: The Creation of Zest!
D) @Genon 's Entry: Umbra Noir!
E) @King_Rule 's Entry: Lesovik!

Again, these are the FINALISTS, not the winners in order! The last step is yours to take after all.

You make your own list between these five entries, and rank them from 1 to 5! Based on their position, they gain points:

1: gives 4 points
2: gives 3 points
3: gives 2 point
4: gives 1 point
5: gives 1 point

And with this, the final vote begins! You guys create your lists and then we have our winners! And of course the finalists can vote too, seriously. Just like last time!

THE DEADLINE FOR THIS VOTE IS:

WHEN IT BECOMES SATURDAY THE 3RD FOR ME!

LET THE FINAL VOTE BEGIN!... AGAIN! YAY!

Fan-work contest winners
IT'S THE 3RD OF DECEMBER! LET'S END THIS!

D) @Genon 's Entry: Umbra Noir - 1 3 1 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 1 = 16

As much as I find this angle interesting, It could use some work. This isn't stopping it from being an honest piece of art on its own though!

And that's a wrap people! The Fan-work anniversary contest is over! We got fewer entries and fewer voters than last time, and that's entirely fair. This year has not been a good one for my productivity, but I still thank you all for turning up, submitting entries and keeping the attention going for Terrene Spire!

I promise it's gonna take a LONG WHILE before the next contest comes. For now, I should focus on delivering these new and exciting entries into the Darosian Canon! I will see you winners in the private messages, and to everyone else:

Thank you all for reading Terrene Spire!
