Christ in heaven that's a mess.

EDIT: Fuck it, I'm just switching to a, "call for ten, take the first ten," system right now.
So then, what did we get?

Martial 1: Integrating Reforms DC41: 43 + 11 + 24 = 78 Success
Martial 2: Backsplash DC31: 67 + 11 = 78 Success
Diplomacy 1: Lystheni(Making Demands) DC41: 35 + 11 + 16 = 62 Success
Diplomacy 2: Lystheni(Trade Sanctions): DC31: 2 + 11 = 13 (Major?) Failure
Stewardship 1: Colony Equipment: DC26: 65 + 10 = 75 Greater Success
Stewardship 2: Administrative Overclocking: DC31: 85 + 10 = 95 Success
Intrigue 1: The Best Way To Deal With Pickpockets: DC16: 20 + 12 = 32 Success
Intrigue 2: Board of Shareholders: DC36: 93 + 12 = 105 Greater Critical Success
Learning 1: Quarian Tech Adoption: 35,000: DC11: 51 + 11 = 62 Greater Success
Learning 2: Dietary Supplements: DC31: 36 + 11 = 47 Success

Huh.

A smuggling ring would probably be one of the more interesting outcomes. Hard to think how exactly they would do it to a reasonable degree, but there's probably certain goods that could be worthwhile to do it with.

Maybe some ambitious corporations are doing it?

Maybe they counter by using private contracts?

Curses. :) I called mine clearly and had a greater Crit on reforms. Oh well.

Now, I may not be able to update for a few days. I'm busy during the day tomorrow, and my wife and I visit the in-laws this weekend. Just a heads-up; you may be waiting a few days.
Safe trip you. And have fun.
Simply use untitled rolls and go down the list in order, instead of people picking the options they want to roll. It's easier to keep track of and prevents repeats. Fair and simple.
10 single rolls are made by 10 people.

Um, it's never been a problem before.
The GM simply takes whoever rolled first for a given Task, and ignores the rest.
Whatever is easier for you though.

Smuggling? The Lystheni don't have THAT much money to spend.

Increased economic hit to us because of bungled implementation or need to pay subsidies to merchants?
Merchants detained or taken hostage? Shooting incident?
It's a regular failure, so consequences shouldn't be too dire, but there will still be Consequences.
Sadly, even with the call ten, take ten system, trade sanctions is still getting that 2
Best place it could have landed, to be honest.
uju32 threw 10 100-faced dice. Total: 600
34 34 71 71 47 47 57 57 89 89 72 72 73 73 58 58 59 59 40 40

Honestly, this is not bad at all. We can definitely take the hit from trade sanctions with our income flow. We'll have to see what the non-financial repercussions of this failure means for us. Does this mean that the Lystheni takes our traders hostage? With the success from Backstab, Dealing with Pickpockets and Making Demands, we're in a good position with regards to the Lystheni.

Just saw this, hope it's your good* set of in-laws. If it's not, I wish you luck in enduring it.

*I remember you claiming that one set was significantly more stressful to have/be around than the other. Hence, a good and not good pair.

The 2 and the 20 are the only ones I'd call really bad, especially given the relative difficulties of the rolls. It's just that the 2 is really, really bad.

The corporations were incredibly pissed off by our decision to stop the trade, but we managed to calm them down?
Maybe even by exposing several CEO as Lystheni impersonators?

I have but one set of in-laws, who are fantastic.

There then is my biological family, from whom I drew the lion's share of the inspiration for Jaffur's immediate family members in AtE.

I prefer my in-laws.

The Lystheni intercept our plans and detain our merchants to try to force our borders open? Or they salvage their ships after detaining the merchants?

Shouldn't administrative over clocking be a greater success too? It succeeded by 64

Diplomacy 2: Lystheni(Trade Sanctions): DC31: 2 + 11 = 13 (Major?) Failure
Just a normal Failure.
Stewardship 1: Colony Equipment: DC26: 65 + 10 = 75 Greater Success
This is just a normal Success.
Stewardship 2: Administrative Overclocking: DC31: 85 + 10 = 95 Success
This is a Greater Success.

Overall, it should:

Martial 1: Integrating Reforms DC41: 43 + 11 + 24 = 78 Success
Martial 2: Backsplash DC31: 67 + 11 = 78 Success
Diplomacy 1: Lystheni(Making Demands) DC41: 35 + 11 + 16 = 62 Success
Diplomacy 2: Lystheni(Trade Sanctions): DC31: 2 + 11 = 13 Failure

You know, I skipped quite a few pages, but there's another possible reason why there's fission research.

Those guys are building a navy, right?

For that, they need eezo.

But they may also need eezo for fusion missiles.

However....we, in real life, use nuclear fission to generate a fusion reaction in our nukes.

EDIT: What's concerning is that we can detect the fission reaction happening while in outer space.

A properly shielded nuclear fission reactor gives off background level radiation, which means to detect it, you need sensors inside the reactor.

The fact that we can pick it up on the outside might be why they're shuttling people in and out.

They're exchanging long term radiation exposure for short term radiation at a higher cost of fuel and supplies.
