The attack did hit something. You knew as much when through the contact of your spear, you felt something other than the castle crack and quite tellingly too. There is sound of something fluttering up above you, like a wing.

@Janus @Cambion @shinkiro @Desdendelle @Maximum Power @Nerx

Throughout various means you enter the upper floor and look upon the room. Aside from the whole that @Sword of Mars made just recently, the room is extremely ornate is a Gothic sense. Heavy tapestry line the walls, ornate candlebras cast a gloomy light and all things lead to single figure and the room's center piece. It hard to see the figure's features but he is kneeling reverently in front of a large partially raised coffin. Lying upon a bed of withered roses the coffin is angled to the point where the eyes would naturally follow it up towards a large painting. It is of a woman and it's careful work denotes a level of extreme and devotion went into it's creation as the attention of detail is impressive beyond all reasonable doubt.

@Noob5674 You can only look on through the windows but you can feel a sense of simmering rage and weariness emanate from the room.

@Sword of Mars Tired as you may be, you can still hear everything that goes on above.

It is then that the figure speaks. The voice is male, but extremely weary sounding, like the person has nothing truly left to live for.

"In my younger days, I would have taken great offense to an intrusion such as this. I can assume that with your presence here that Balthamey is dead? You need not answer, you physical presence is answer enough."

A sigh follows and then the figure stands revealing himself to you all. He is pale, deathly so, with pale hair that stands on its ends, and clothing that is reminiscent of the stereotypical vampire, save for one detail. One of the edges of his cloak is broken, as if something tore through it. He looks at you all before looking directly at @Janus and @Cambion . His eyes scan you two before they slightly widen.

"I was told that you warriros bear aspects of others long since past within you... What drives you so that you would turn against fore-bearers with such brazen ignorance?" Another sigh follows before he addresses you all. "Do you wish to know why I have done what I have done? If I had aided my 'superior' in these efforts then they would return my dear Charlotte to me. Free for her father's grip and Carmilla's lust..." He closes his eyes and squares his shoulders. As he does his hands drop to his sides, altering themselves into a pair of demented claws.

"I am Meier Link, he who represents the sin of Sloth, and I will be your end." He intones quietly before his cape folds itself into a long wing like structure and he lunges at you.

"fancy talk for a dead man."

A grin spread across Alexs face as a surge of murderous intent flooded his body, dark chi slowly wafting off his form, before amassing in his hands, thrusting them forwards and sending a fireball on an interception path for this so called Meier.
It takes a great deal of patience, willpower, and mental growth to not take immediate action, knowing that one's size could break many things.

None of which Ken has, and is made apparent as he proceeds to pout, right before a gale of wind seems to blow through the room towards the window he's at...and will soon be made apparent that he's taking a deep breath for something that should be clear as day to everybody else, seeing how he's done this so many times before.
Jacob
The powerful warlock thought for a moment, before he raised his hands. "Everyone, stop!!!"
Another Sin... I sat out every other encounter with them, but I think it's time I finally entered a battle myself.

Yet I can't help but have reservations against this. Most prominently because the man seems to have more reason in him than the others we've faced. Maybe this battle does not have to end in death? Maybe we can come to an accord? However difficult it may be, I'd like to try.

I have a feeling that negotiations may not be as simple as i'd prefer, given that he's already decided to engage us. But surely that doesn't close off the possibility? Perhaps if I can subdue him fast and hard, I can spare his life before any of my more trigger happy fellows get too overeager!

Stepping quickly away from his lunge towards the group, I breathe deeply and take a stance I've never known before yet somehow do now. I can feel my life energy intensifying and growing outwards from my body, a golden light that emerges from deep within me. From this light forms a magnificent shape.

This is...

"One-Hundred Type Guanyin Bodhisattva!"

Without hesitation my hands form a shape resembling the number ninety nine.

"Ninety-Ninth Hand!"

With a little luck, i'll have him incapacitated with just this. Though just in case I think i'll keep my senses sharp to notice any movement when the attack concludes. Still, here's to hoping...
Turning to the newcomer, my left hand transforms into a six fingered hand. Using a simple hand gesture, I cause his hands to raise straight upward, then stop, then suddenly, the whole group, and probably Sloth could only move their eyes, and no other parts of their body.

"Now that I have got everyone's attention. . . It is time for us to talk, like civilized creatures."

"Sloth, or is it, Meier Link. . . I have a proposal for you. Stop working for your boss, and I will bring back whoever you want."
As I arrived with the other into the main chamber I took a step back as the possible vampire or demon addressed me specifically. I don't recall knowing him but it's possible my memories have been fudged with. As the other start to square off with Meier Link, I turn my eyes to Ken and hope he doesn't get antsy and try to get in on the fight
Despite being slightly exhausted Jessica smirked rubbing her hands together viewing the very expensive things in the room.

Seeing the dudebro who ran this place attack her companions she summoned several clones and...

They began ransacking the place stuffing more things into her bag to the point it was almost bursting, then they saw the coffin...

One totally grabs the painting as well. Jessica is a little bit of a asshole.

While the clones stuffed the bag, Jessica's main body used a chain spear to yank and pull the coffin entirely towards her until she caught it.

"Hohohoh... what extravagance!" She clearly wasn't interested in fighting and was almost on her way out from the 'shortcut' she had created. Her clones trailing behind her with arms full of ornaments and one holding her bag.

It was at this point people may have realized that nobody explained why she should care about some random Goth man and why she should fight him.
Seeing the annoying woman from before trying to kidnap, grave rob?, the man's dead wife or lover royally pissed me off

"THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU" I hiss in a rage as I appeared before her, wrapped in shadows with my cape spread like wings and my chains flailing

David was lucky in the regard that he climbed to the top room and broke in by crashing through a window (distractedly, he noted that whatever shielding he seemed to have now meant that glass shards were not an issue any more), so he didn't have the opportunity to confront his companions about being thieves. He mostly looked around, careful not to touch anything.

Then a giant spear punched through the floor and all hell broke loose; what seemed to be the owner of the tower showed up, David's so-called companions immediately attacked... him? it? while one of them ransacked the place with the aid of copies of herself before running off.

David assessed the situation and figured quickly enough that if it wasn't one already, it would become a shitshow shortly, so he did the sensible thing and left the way he came in.

At first, he thought to rely on his shields to take the fall, but when he reached out to the tower's wall, teal lighting formed between him and it, and he found himself stopping in mid-air immediately. It was, he thought, a very weird experience; there was no jarring - he just stopped - and now he was attached to the wall by this... teal lightning?

Unfortunately for him, David spent so much time being confused about his situation that the wall latch wore off. Fortunately for him, he fell in such a posture that the aim-glide systems activated, causing him to, well, glide away from the tower quite leisurely. That wore off too at a point, but by that time he wasn't that far off from the ground, and one roll later he was dusting his clothes and looking upwards at the light-show that by then was no doubt being provided by the fight in the tower.

A few seconds later, the gust of wind stop. And then everybody who didn't realize what's going on promptly will realize what happened since the first thing that people will feel, isn't hearing the loud sound of Ken screaming like usual.

No, it's the fucking impact of the scream. You've seen loud music cause things to shake, but this is fucking like getting hit hard by pure force to the point that unless you're firmly planted on the ground there's a chance of being knocked off your feet, not to mention your entire body shaking from just the vibrations. And then the actual sound/magic part kicks in, any form of concentration is promptly thrown out the window as magic disorienting scream kicks in full force and for a solid second, it is quite difficult to think straight.

After getting your bearing down, one might notice the shaking is a lot more violent than just screaming.

That would be because Ken is a child having a temper tantrum of being left out. And is currently...he bear-hugged the tower and is proceeding to shake the entire thing to knock it down from its foundations all while still screaming (Aka crying).
Jacob

And then the shaking and disorienting scream stops...and the entire tower begins to tilt and crush into itself as the kid loses control of his body.

And is flopped on the side of the tower. He's crushing it via sheer weight and is only a matter of time before it collapses, even more with others also destroying the tower.

At that point, things got worse, as an immense surge of malevolence erupted form Alex, his hair turning white, and slowly raised his hand, gathering a large amount of power in one hand, the single warning of what was about to come. He lept and brought it down in a blow to the floor. and though it. and though a few more floors before reaching the basement and unleashing the gathered power ina massive burst capable of shattering an island.

Ironically the treasures and coffin were the safest with Jessica and her clones. Being able to shut off feeling within your body at will, being very fast and agile, while apparently being used to dodging rubble and massive attacks comes in handy.

Using the now collapsing building and sudden earthquake to her advantage... She swings her chain around to send herself flying away. Usually she'd do something clever like split into more clones with illusionary coffins but she didn't want to waste too much energy.

Jessica wondered why they were so pissed off. It was just a coffin! It was the equivalent of stealing a vampire's bed... If it contained a dead guy that'd be pretty weird. Who tf just keeps a decomposing body in their house.

The attack manages to bat the vampire away and also destroy a large section of the room. The combined light from both of your attacks floods out the tower.

David was lucky in the regard that he climbed to the top room and broke in by crashing through a window (distractedly, he noted that whatever shielding he seemed to have now meant that glass shards were not an issue any more), so he didn't have the opportunity to confront his companions about being thieves. You can see from the ground the terrible light shining from the tower and hear the anguished cry of it's wielder but there's another sound, a much louder roar.

A few seconds later, the gust of wind stop. And then everybody who didn't realize what's going on promptly will realize what happened since the first thing that people will feel, isn't hearing the loud sound of Ken screaming like usual.

Ken's tantrum, combined with your surge of power begins to bring the tower down. As you gaze upon the ruins of the tower, the proof of your might, you can hear the angry flapping of heavy wings in the air. Looking up Sloth is still in the game.

David looked for the direction where none of the others were heading; once he found it, he ran away, as fast as he could. At some point instinct took over and he started bullet- and double-jumping to increase his speed - anything to get away from the crazies that seemed intent on fighting everybody they met and the giant that destroyed the tower for no discernable reason. Anybody close enough - not that there was anybody, and even if there was, David would actively run away from them - could probably hear the stream of curses spewing forth from David's mouth as he ran.

It appears the fight is not over yet. Alex quickly gave pursuit after Sloth, occasionally hurling gohadoken at the flying creature as he chased after it. He was not getting away so easily.

Only managing to get one name out of his breath during Sloth's squeezing of his throat, Jacob would teleport the protagonists a safe distance away from Sloth.
"Meir!
Teleporting the others with him to a safe distance away from Sloth, he got ready to fight, in case the time for diplomacy was over."

Shifting to a new area, Ken...is still paralyzed. Because the magic paralysis is still on and he got little to no resistances to it atm.

Looking around at the others, and Ken besides that, Jacob shrugs, and waves a hand, removing the paralysis spell that's on the group. Hopefully the protagonists would be able to recover and gather their wits fast enough to take on Sloth and get rid of him.

As Alex continued to give chase, one ball of Chi ha launched felt... different. as it got close to its target, it exploded into an almost fireworks like display of energy balls, suddenly creating a massive navigatinal hazerd in the path of Sloth, as single though running though Alexs mind as it happened.

Jessica felt the coffin rattle... She looked at the other Jessicas who had momentarily stopped to look at it with her with indecision... Before they all nodded and ran off, another pair of clones took the coffin, rapping it in magic chains to keep it sealed shut before nodding at the original and running off with the sealed coffin. Her main body stayed behind to hold off the rapidly approaching enemy.

"MANKAI!" This was probably the most Chunni thing Jessica has ever done in her life... A large explosion of energy came from her form in a large flower pedal pattern. Her outfit transformed from her black windbreaker to a black miko-esque looking outfit with detached sleeves, a golden circle with 4 points trailing behind her. The spear in her hand was visibly sharper, the staff part much more ornate, and Jessica was visibly stronger then she was. "GYAHAHAHAHA!" Jessica launched nearly supersonic speeds to meet her enemy head on, her spear lashing out in a instant to crush the fucker who dared to try to filch her wealth from her.

"You want the the treasure back? WELL COME AND TAKE IT!" Spears crushed through the ground all around, reforresting the very land around them. The heads of the spears delinked and coiled around like deadly snakes to Jessica's will ready to bind, impale and strangle the fool.

Regaining control of himself, Ken is still...well still. For a while at least. And then his back twitches before a volley of bone spikes shoot off out of him into the sky...

And then they reach a peak up in height before starting to rain down in a violent rain of giant bone spikes.

I flung myself back as I lost my sight. I grab for the pressure around my neck, trying to pry them off me. All the while I try and regain my sight to see what I was fighting. The pressure vanishes as I feel myself go from one place to another in an instant. I don't know who it was that teleported me but I'm instantly ready for round 2 as my arms turn into blades

Seeing that those in close range to Sloth were "Safe" for now, I pointed my hand, covered with the gauntlet and magically divined what his greatest weakness was. There was no mysterious flash of light, just a mental command that I could use to activate the magical piece of armor. With my other hand, I attempted to slash Sloth's hands off from a good range.

Sloth attempts to maneuver out from the bullet hell but is too focused on @Sword of Mars to do so properly. Several of the bullets pepper his body leaving deep cuts that slowly begin to heal.

Your first attack manages to land a successful hit against the Sin, destroys his cape to a greater degree and forcing him to glide instead of fly. As he lands within the new forest of spears, he begins to frantically scan the forest for your copies. When he can't seem to get a direct visual, his moves become a frenetic blitz of claws and kicks as he begins to bring down the spears down around him in search of you.

He far too in the search for Jessica to notice your barrage and several bone spikes manage to impale him. The force of the blows bring him to his knees before his body begins to absorb their material. Sloth raises his head and screams as a multicolored lights the night sky.

You can see the remnants of the flash in the night sky. You know where your opponent is.

Several sensations immediately fill your mind. They are, the scent of garlic, the feeling of the sun's warmth against you, a sharp sting in your chest, pain around your neck, and the image of a beautiful brown haired woman. Your off hand cuts a deep divide through the land before striking sloth and knocking him off his feet. While you can't see it, there's a fresh and deep gash across his left wrist.

It was not over yet.

Coming to a stop well above him, Alex begun channelling power again, once more preparing to perform the attack he had used to collapse the castle... then adding more oomph to it, charging it with a massive amount of magic to cause the impact to unleash a massive amount of damaku and strengthen the shockwaves. A small part of him told him something like this was worthy of a name.

"heavenly sign: Province Rending Spark." He muttered, before plummeting towards the ground, ready to unleash the attack into the ground.

Taking cover from Alex'es attacks. . . I look towards the wounded Sloth. So he was a vampire after all. Also, Jacob wondered if the brown haired woman was just a weakness in the sense that he loved her, not that she was literally his weakness, like, if she died, then he would die. That would be interesting, but he kept his focus on the fight of the battle right now.

After a short break and some...violent discharging of excess material, Ken finally places an arm against the ground, and proceeds to push himself up...and stretches since his muscles were all too relaxed due to paralysis earlier.
Sloth raises his head and screams as a multicolored lights the night sky.
Aaaand now he's distracted by pretty light.

Luckily Jessica's original batch of clones were way gone by now in the distance. Reaching their maximum distance of several city blocks to before going into hiding... But with the boost Mankai had given her, she could summon as many as she wanted. So she did. The ones with the coffin, was something Jessica (who controlled them all via puppet. They didn't have minds of their own which was a little bit disorienting but she got used to commanding several bodies) debated having them open and stabbing to death everything inside for... Jessica decided to leave the coffin be for now safely wrapped in chains shut.

"What's wrong... Are you perhaps looking for me?" Jessica stands on a nearby spear, "Maybe you were looking for me?" Another one from behind him, stepping out behind from the giant staff of another spear... "Or me? Or me! Or me! Hehehehehe!" Dozens of Jessica's popping out around him giggling and mocking. A cruel, petty glint in their collective eyes. The spears on the ground suddenly exploded into chains entirely, snaking and grasping. Every time he attempted to dodge a suicidal Jessica clone would barrel into him, or swing their spear.

They all went out of their way to heckle him before death. "Oh was there something special we took that got you mad?" One said before perishing. "Was it the pretty picture on the wall?" Another before dying, "Maybe?" The rest said at once... "There was a special sort of treasure in that coffin? Hehehehe!" They all collectively giggled, before they were destroyed by either Sloth or Alex's attacks.

Seeing floaty orb dude in the air ready to create a brutal attack... Jessica, much like a great composer commanded each one of her spears to turn into sharpened chains, that immediately whipped out crushing, reaching and in some cases attempting to use their reach to impale the area in. In a few moments the whole area Sloth was in became a mess of chains. Of course, everything the faux Jessica's and the nearby spears did were a distraction for the real attack,

Not to be out done by her companions, Jessica flew at high speeds and threw her spear like a mighty javelin at Sloth, the spear enlarged to the same size that pierced the entire middle of the tower but covered in flames , hit where she saw Sloth was and detonated covering the landscape in a deadly inferno. Many of the spears that covered the landscape vanished inside it, leaving a giant hole in the 'spear forest' and turning the grass into ash. "Or perhaps you were looking for me." No matter the outcome Jessica would look down at Sloth with a mocking sneer, a cruel light shining in her eyes. Fortunately for Sloth, Mankai wasn't going to last that long after using so much power up. She was now limited to mostly melee.

You two can see Sloth stagger to a stand in spite of the Danmaku barrage but not unscathed. The clothing is severely singed and the exposed parts of his body look like melting wax and anything fuerther beyond that shows internal muscles and organs. He is in obvious pain, but the look in his eyes all but stated he wouldn't stop until he took back what was his.

The attack lands with a powerful and impales the Sin on contact and the flames obscure him for several hectic moments until something happens. The light shines once, dimmer but still present and the flames retract into Sloth's location until they are compressed at a single point and sends it screaming back at break neck speeds. The fireball hits you dead on.

The burning figure of Meier Link hangs floating in the air before moving like a puppet with strings towards the coffin.

"Everyone, leave the fucking coffin!" It was not common for Jacob to curse, but this was serious. "It's his dead wife! I think!"

It was time to finish things, a dark aura settles around Alex, as as he lunged towards Sloth, leaving a duplicate of himself behind, charging up an attack, as the original approached ready to grab him and unleash the Raging Demon.

The fireball hits the energy shield that her transformation gave her... Her body is knocked back slightly at the force, and she could vaguely feel the heat... But fire wasn't the attack one should use to break Mankai, or at least hers anyway. While it would've been a problem if she wasn't transformed, while transformed she didn't feel anything. She would need to be bathed in plasma or something to be injured by burns. Aside from the force slightly knocking her back, she was mostly unaffected. It was pretty much the equivalant of a Fire-Type Pokemon getting hit with a firetype attack, in Jessica's loser mind.

Jessica acknowledged the magic users words in the worst way possible. "You want to be reunited with that girl? Well... You can be reunited In the afterlife!" Jessica's face twisted into a happy go lucky grin. She engaged Sloth into melee combat, following @shinkiro Alex's lead. As she did so, the clones with the coffin, opened it and pierced whatever was inside... Jessica wondered if she should cut her losses with the coffin before her mind adamantly refused and rejected such notions with impunity... Her grin grew wider "That coffin and everything in it belongs to me! Its mine! You couldn't protect it, so why should you have it? You couldn't even protect the person inside, and now you failed to protect the case holding her... Don't worry, I'll make sure to remember to bury her in an unmarked grave... Probably! Hehe." Jessica loved teasing her opponents, its what made fighting so fun in her opinion.

Was she the villain? Nah... This guy was! He should've protected his things better. It's not like it counted as grave robbing either, the corpse inside was still animate! So what if this guy had a wife that he cared oh so deeply for. That never stopped her when she stole something, or mugged someone before it definitely wasn't going to stop her from protecting her haul from mister Hot Topic.
