This is just Hyperbole a lot of people aren't just voting for the intensive training for "memes". Intensive training is a good option even compared to ward training and both of them will give us different advantages. There is a ton of other arguments you can use to explain why you feel that warding is better suited and should be taken this turn instead of just dismissing the other option.

We can do training body and wards right now and pick up biomancy later. There is no reason to believe that learning a discipline would be that difficult for a headmaster of a psyker school. Not picking wards pronto leave us with a higher chance of Perirs of the warp for unknown amount of time.

Having spent 10 years in the small room being shunned for what MC is, he can sympathize that lone blank. So, a chance to be more human for Empathy is the greatest of humanity virtues and is scarce in this galaxy!

    • I'm personally hoping to still train our blank resistance at the first opportunity we get. I cannot stress this enough, but if we meet a blank hostile to us, it's GAME OVER for us. Hopefully we can acquire one and bring them to our academy. Training blank resistance would also be useful for our pupils.
     
    Welp looks like we've embraced the path of Gains, it was perhaps inevitable. Maybe we can help guide our students upon the path of muscle wizards.

    But yeah we still need to train our Blank resistance and get some better Mind Wards ASAP.

    Also the physical stature intimidating Pskyers way be a good thing to help keep the more hothead and volatile ones in line.

    Time to get so swole that our brain and mental wills start pumping iron as well
     
    I really hope there's a chance to improve our mental warding later. I'm not inherently opposed to being the swoliest of swoles, but I hate when rare opportunities are lost to meme votes.
