Teacher of the cursed: A Warhammer 40k Psyker School Quest.

[] Heavily trained your psychic wards:
[] Blank Exposure Therapy:

I honestly like the blank training, if only because it's with a sister of silence. Relates well with when a Sister gave us a treat on the Black ships. Besides, Blanks are literally our kryptonite. I don't want to be helpless if we're unlucky enough to actually see one.

Poor kai his time in the ordo heritcus was really bad, And the astra Telephatica leadership coming in with the save. Psykers together STRONG.

as for the vote.

the SWOLE and ward options are very tempting.

[] Intense physical therapy and training:
You have a very rare opportunity to dedicate six months purely to self-improvement without other priorities getting in the way.

Under the supervision of the Magos Biologis and a few of the Black Sentinels, you were put on a strict diet and training regimen to boost your physical fitness. The Black Sentinels, normally quite stoic, proved more than willing to help you get stronger, turning your training into a group exercise. From the Magos, you received bi-daily shots of steroids, hormones, bone-density enhancers, and blood-oxygen boosters.
You are as physically fit as a Cadian Guardsman. But your improved stature ironically enough intimidates many Psykers, who usually console themselves over their weakened physique with their psychic power.
Warning: You may develop a propensity for walking around shirtless
We need this
We must be a Swole Psyker. The techniques have been passed down the Zestus family for GENERATIONS!

hmmm, while wards sounds very nice, I am leaning towards biomancy and intense physical training, as those two look like they would synergize pretty well and looks like something we should do before entering terra's atmosphere again
There's a decent chance of synergies, sure, but I'm not sure how useful they would be. It'd probably be along the lines of even greater physical fitness, but Cadian Guardsman fitness plus Kine Blades plus our telekinetic disabling should be enough for us.

Also, we should remember that biomancy isn't the only route to fixing our lungs, and the current vote probably won't give us enough know-how to do even that. Mechanical replacements, some even better than organic originals, are available from the Admech. It helps that we probably aren't going to be sticking around Terra for very long.

Hmm, ancient Kai would be pretty legit if he was muscular and shirtless. If we went bald and grew a beard, we just become a Master Roshi expy.

It is amusing to imagine becoming the Ancient Wizard of Kung-Fu.

imagine a hunched over old wizard sitting behind a desk suddenly straightening up, kicking the desk away and dropping his robe to reveal a physique to be mistaken as a space marine standing in front of you

"NAUGHTY CHILDREN GET PUNISHED!" cue screaming

Welp shit that Inquisitor was a complete asshole and the service was pretty horrible on the MC. At least he got some good training and respect out of it. Also nice to see that the Telepathica looks after it's own.

Getting fit is pretty good, one of those things that just makes every day better to live.
I like the paranoia of maybe combing the wards with blank tolerance, never being caught unready is a nice safety blanket.

@Mayto Question, what constitutes "minor wounds" and aliments as far as we, the players are concerned? Does that include things like basic poisons and toxins or is that another level of biomancy that has to be learned?

This is both a character defining moment, and an opportunity to get stuff we won't be able to get in the future.

I think that we can learn other spyker disciplines later, so I would discard Biomancy, Lightining and Fire. We will get the opportunity to learn those later I think.

Strengthening out our wards further specs out into Psyker wrangling, which is good.

Getting swole would kinda be a meme, but after Luthien I don't really want it to define us.

Now, being able to tolerate a Sister of Silence... now that would be a boon for our security. Having a guard of blanks would make any attempt by psykers to break free of our facility completely futile.

Well put, but yeah, we already have the swole punch wizard in Luthien, and there's nothing really stopping us from getting swole at our fortress. Meeting a sister of silence however is HARD. They're a dying breed until Guilliman pops over to Terra.

We will probably be able to learn all of the options later on, the only difference is that it would be slower since we won't be able to dedicate six months specifically to that option with our work in the future fortress. Even the blank exposure training since we would be able to get blanks or Pariahs later on but not sisters of silence.

[] Plan: CONSTANT VIGILANCE

Does anyone catch the reference? I'm curious.

I don't care what anyone says. This is utterly essential and I refuse to be convinced otherwise.
Wards or Blank training for the other vote I suppose, both are very practical and could save our lives more than once in the future.

Flesh wounds, non-critical damage to organs, lasting damage from pollution and the like. Might help against basic poisons and toxins, but people going to poison a Psyker won't stinge on the poisons.

Good to know, so does that mean if we go swole that will fix the lung damage or is that an instance of "No, the pollution on Terra fucked up your lungs that bad"?

Hmmmmm, these are some tempting options once again, id probably go with swole and wards.
I think we can learn Biomancy later and better with the improved mental fortitude and training together with our colleagues is a really nice change of pace after the whole inquisition thing, get some of that good human company.
