Well that was a fun time, just a good chunk of shenanigans between everyone, specially involving Sousuke and Chidori and bonding time between the gundam pilots.

As for the second part, yeah we needed to adress this, a relationship is fine and all, but gotta remember to not to think with you dick 24/7

This called my attention too.

Beltorchika is a thing here so we are using that version of CCA, but the mention of the Sazabi means that the stuff that got wrecked that day were the incomplete versions aka the Nu Gundam and the mentioned Sazabi instead of the Hi-nu and the Nightingale.

Makes me wonder if Amuro will just try to go back to the Nu once he gets finally out of his initial funk of being back into the front lines or if he will go and finish that personal project of his.

Hmm, good point. Hopefully he will, we'll need all the power we can get. And since Unicorn exists, we have a great reason for him to get serious about finishing Hi-Nu.

Also, really liked that scene with Amuro and Mira. Hadn't realised they actually knew each other, but it makes a lot of sense.

...Hm! Good stuff!

I'm personally surprised Mira didn't bring up Amuro's...luck...with women.

Which can best be described as an absolute disaster.

Matilda got ganked, Fran found love elsewhere, Sayla...uh, I think they gave up on eachother... Lalah was a tragedy that Amuro might not have recovered from yet, Chan got killed off badly by Hathaway, and once he finally gets a second relationship with Beltorchika oing...he died.

Now that I think about it, probably not the best thing to bring up.

...Actually, speaking of Beltorchika...

Is it...Could there be a...surprise, waiting for Amuro when he goes home?

Mandatory Event: Return from Cephiro

September UE 0083
Royal Palace of Azadistan

You are Marina Ismail, and you're sitting in on this meeting of the more scientifically and technically minded members of the Solar Vanguard along with Shirin for posterity. No one had been in the mood to object, you are the host after all, and your involvement with Celestial Being has given a degree of credibility.

"Shall we call this meeting to order, then?" You say as you survey the people attending.

You're all sitting at a rectangular table facing a projector screen. You're in the center seat, with Shirin standing alongside your chair. To your immediate left is Teletha Testarossa, a commander of Mithril and a Whispered. To your immediate right is Ian Vashti and his wife Linda, leading Engineers in GN particle technology for Celestial Being. Sitting next to Tessa is Rakshata Chawla, head engineer and researcher for the Black Knights, accompanied by a member of the Black Knights' Engineering Corps. On the opposite end of the table, sitting next to the Vashti couple, are the Gundam Scientists, consisting of Dr. J, Professor G, Dr. S, Instructor H, and Master O. They've insisted on being called by this shorthand.

"Who do we start with?" Ian Vashti asks.

"Let's start with the machine the Gundam Scientists analyzed, that was the most intact wreck recovered from Cephiro, yes?" Shirin says.

"Fair enough." You say as you gesture to the Gundam Scientists. "Dr. J, the floor is yours."

Dr. J smirks before catching the remote that Ian slides across the table to him. Dr. J stands up and brings up relevant diagrams related to their analysis of the enemy wreck that they'd been sent, that of a Council machine dubbed a 'Fishbowl' due to its distinct head shape resembling old-fashioned space suit helmets in the pre-Space War One era.

"Well, for starters, the designers of this machine had no sense of aesthetics-everything about this looks like what someone from the pre-UE era would think a mobile suit would look like if they thought of a mobile weapon that wasn't a Variable Fighter. That might not seem relevant, but that actually informs quite a few bits of the technical aspect of this machine." Dr. J clicks the remote to bring up a general view of the Fishbowl. An area around what you assume the cockpit is highlighted in red.

"Unfortunately, the cockpit was almost a complete loss. The magical icicle that our friend Alcyone skewered the wreck with also took most of the main computers with it, and also ruined the controls. We found what looks like a pair of control sticks, and there are pedals, so we assume it's controlled in a similar manner to a modern mobile suit. We won't know for sure until we get our hands on a Fishbowl with an intact cockpit." Dr. J clicks the remote and changes the image on screen to a detailed technical diagram of the Fishbowl's head before handing it over to Professor G. You immediately spot something even a non-technically inclined person such as yourself would notice.

"Why does the head consist mostly of empty space?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.

"That's the thousand credit question, isn't it? I was expecting us to find an armored shell crammed with sensor equipment, but instead found, well...this. We looked over the machine from head to toe, and the head contains the only visual sensors on the entire machine. Now, most of you know that a modern mobile suit doesn't only have the main camera in the head, it also has secondary cameras on the torso. Not as good as the main camera, but enough to get the job done, as Char Aznable can attest to. What's more unusual is that the main camera isn't even very good by our standards, it's about on par with the one the Gundam Mk-II had. We were also confused about the sheer amount of empty space in the head, but we found a gas pipe that leads into a reserve tank on the torso. Our best guess is that the gas serves as a heat sink for the electronics in the head." Dr. G explains before he hands the remote over to Master O. He clicks the remote, and brings up a diagram of the Fishbowl's main reactor.

"Now, one of the most interesting aspects of the Fishbowl that we found is its power supply. It doesn't have traditional fuel storage per se, where you would find a fuel tank in a typical mobile suit or Variable Fighter, there is instead a spherical cavity with a pathway leading directly to the main power supply." A click of the remote highlights the relevant section.

"What does the Fishbowl use for fuel?" Ian Vashti asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Liquid butane, but not quite in the way you think." Master O replies. At the sight of Tessa and the Vashti couple's raised eyebrows, he continues.

"I know what you're thinking, 'butane is a terrible fuel source for a mobile weapon, the storage tank would have to be enormous!'. Well, apparently the Council figured out a workaround to that issue. As you can see, that spherical cavity isn't pressurized. That's because it serves as a storage vessel for a sphere of liquid butane far bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. We couldn't study the sphere itself due to how easy it is to 'break', but a sphere of that size can store enough liquid butane to fill the one of the hangars of the Ra Cailum once it vaporizes. Now, as for how it powers the machine, there's a conventional combustion mechanism that ignites the butane and uses it to generate a small amount of power to fuel the rest of the process."

"The waste gases from igniting the butane are funneled into this chamber, where all of the hydrogen is filtered and siphoned into a non-Minovsky type fusion reactor. We're not sure how the hydrogen is singled out, but there's a crystal that serves as some kind of catalyst for both filtration and the fusion reaction itself." A click of the remote highlights the crystal in question. Master O hands the remote to Instructor H.

"As for armor and armaments, it's not really anything special. The most obvious armament is a particle beam rifle that's somewhat similar to the beam weapons ZAFT uses in that they're not reliant on Minovsky Particles. There's also a folding sword that it has for close combat, but it's only really as good as a Zaku II's heat hawk, so we're guessing it's meant to be used as a weapon of last resort. The machine's armor, meanwhile, is a mix of titanium and some kind of carbon fiber, which explains why they fold so easily to beam weapons." Instructor H hands the remote back to Dr. J.

"There's not much else to talk about with respect to the Fishbowl, but it does give us some insights into the basic design principles of the Council." Dr. J concludes.

No one has any questions, so the remote is handed over to Tessa, who brings up her own presentation.

"The Black Technology Research and Development Division took a look at what was left of one of the Council's CQC Specialist machines. Although there weren't enough pieces to fully reconstruct one, our knowledge of Black Technology and spontaneous insights was able to give us a mostly complete understanding of what we do have." Tessa clicks the remote and brings up three separate diagrams; one's an analysis of the spike weapon on a CQC robot's right hand, the other is of the knuckle duster on its left, and the third is of the machine's armor plating.

"The armor plating is composed of, as the Gundam Scientists have said, a mix of titanium alloys and carbon fiber, so there is nothing new on that front. The knuckle duster, meanwhile, has some resemblance to those utilized by a mobile weapon type known as 'SPTs' that one of the research team kept having visions of. However, these are much larger than those found on a typical SPT due to the fact that a CQC robot has at least three times the mass of even the largest SPT theoretically buildable. The most interesting aspect, however, is the spike weapon. While the spikes appear to be made of metal that extends out from the device as seen from video footage, they are not actually metal. The spikes are, instead, made of crystal, similar to the Crystal Sword that the Blühende Rose uses. However, there is a notable difference. The Crystal Sword appears to have a reservoir of what can only be described as liquid crystal in its hilt, which is shaped into a blade via nanomachines and the sword's own mechanisms. These spikes, on the other hand, appear to be flash grown on the spot based on our findings, as there is a storage area in the device filled with mineral dust, and a separate storage area filled with saline liquid. Both of them feed into the holes that the spikes emerge from." Tessa concludes.

"And there is nothing else you could find?" Rakshata asks.

"Not with what little we were sent." Tessa shakes her head.

"Unfortunate." Rakshata says.

After a short break for refreshments, you're all back in the meeting room. The Vashti couple step forward to present their findings on what's left of the Graffiti Robot.

"We couldn't get the wrist blade to ignite, so we think that whatever the blade is composed of, it's dependent on whatever it uses for a power source. The armor was too badly damaged to reliably analyze, but the inner layer around the circuitry has some disturbing similarities to E-Carbon. The beam cannon in its palm has the same problem as the wrist blade. Not much else to say." Ian shrugs as he hands the remote over to Rakshata.

Rakshata gives the Vashtis a polite smile as she accepts the remote. She brings up a comprehensive analysis of what could be salvaged from the Knight Robot.

"We'll start with the armor. It was badly damaged due to being subjected to the crushing forces of a Gravity Blast and what is essentially a beam of antimatter, but there was a section intact enough to take apart for analysis. The main armor plating seems to consist of three layers. The first layer is a metallic paint that appears to be refined and arranged on the molecular level, and is laminated across the entirety of the outer layers of the machine. It's incredibly strong, and also remarkably effective at deflecting beam weapons. The only parts that don't have this paint applied to it are the joints. The second layer consists of a layer of metal. It appears to be inert, but according the systems we were able to salvage from the cockpit computers, it appears to operate on a similar principle to Phase Shift Armor. It's not entirely the same though, as while Phase Shift Armor doesn't appear to have an upper limit to the amount of solid mass it can protect from so long as you have power, there's something the cockpit systems refer to as the 'shock limit'. Based on context, I'm assuming that refers to an upper limit to the amount of sudden force this pseudo-Phase Shift Armor can sustain before something undesirable happens." Rakshata takes a moment to take a sip of water before moving on.

"The third layer of armor is composed almost entirely of carbon fiber, likely to reduce weight and mass. Under the main armor, there is, like what the Vashtis found in the Graffiti Robot, an inner layer around the circuitry composed of a substance similar to E-Carbon."

"What about the weapons?" Dr. J asks.

"Those were a complete loss. Between the Gravity Blast, the Lohengrin's positron beams, and the Zeta Gundam's Waverider Crash, no weapon system aboard the Knight Robot was left intact. What we were able to study somewhat in depth, however, was the energy shield it utilized. It has remarkable similarities to both the Radiant Wave Shielding Technology that I developed for the Guren, in addition to the Blaze Luminous system the Earl of Pudding developed for the Lancelot." Rakshata explains.

"How is that possible? Radiant Wave Shielding and Blaze Luminous Systems operate on completely different principles of physics!" Tessa exclaims in surprise.

"I was just as puzzled as you are until I took a look at the shield generator itself." Rakshata brings up a diagram of the device in question. "Look familiar?"

Tessa narrows her eyes.

"That looks like...a Lamda Driver?!" She realizes in shock.

"That's what we thought too. However, although there are some similarities to what the Arbalest uses, it doesn't appear to operate on the same principles. As far as we can tell, its purpose is twofold: the first is to aid the machine in not collapsing under its own weight, and the other is to 'combine' the physics of both Radiant Wave Shielding and the Blaze Luminous system with what a device similar to a Lambda Driver can do defensively to make a stronger barrier." Rakshata says.

"Well, at least we know it has limits." Linda Vashti muses.

"What about the power source?" Dr. S asks.

"That is its own can of worms." Rakshata brings up a diagram and points to a particular section with her pipe. "As you can see, there is nothing resembling the system that the Fishbowl uses beyond the use of exotic crystals as catalysts. It's not even similar to the power source of the Rose, which derives power from a dimensional anomaly that it creates within its own reactor. The main reactor of the Knight Robot superficially resembles a Minovsky reactor, but supersized to accommodate the requirements a machine as large as it requires." Rakshata says.

"Superficially?" Tessa asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Rather than use Helium-3 to fuel the reaction, it uses the crystals to efficiently generate pockets of vacuum within the main chamber, and use elements that spontaneously appear in those pockets as fuel." Rakshata elaborates.

Tessa groans while massaging her temples. Shirin goes over to her side in concern.

"Are you alright?" She asks Tessa.

"Sorry, it's just that I had a Whisper after I heard Rakshata's explanation. It sounds like the Knight Robot runs on something similar to an Ahab reactor, but there are so many differences from what the Whispers are telling me and what Rakshata described that I'm positive the Council bastardized the technology from another dimension." Tessa explains.

"Is there anything else of note about the Knight Robot?" You ask Rakshata. She shakes her head before taking a drag of her pipe.

"Well if there's nothing else, let us conclude this meeting. We will compile the minutes and findings presented here and share them among our group. Hopefully we can derive something useful from this."

Results

Rakshata has gained insight into energy shield technology from studying the Knight Robot
-Will grant massively premature access to further iterations of the Guren and Knightmare Frames derived from it. Furthermore, all Black Knight Knightmare Frames derived from the Guren will have Radiant Wave Shielding.
-You now know of additional strengths and weaknesses of the Blaze Luminous system. Enemy Blaze Luminous systems will be less effective when faced in the field, and if/when the relationship with Neo-Britannia improves enough to grant access to the Camelot institute, friendly Blaze Luminous systems will provide more protection.

Based on Tessa's Whispers, much of the Council's technology appears to be bastardized from what they stole from other dimensions.

A common design element of Council technology appears to be crystals that serve as catalysts that either enable certain technologies or make them more efficient.

The group believes improvements can be made based on the results of everyone's research. However, resource and time constraints mean that only one avenue can be pursued. What do you go with? (Pick ONE)

[ ] Breaking the laws of physics
-Will accelerate Mithril's research into Lambda Drivers, will eventually grant premature access to the Laevetain in a form with more longevity

[ ] Incorporating things from the knockoff E-Carbon
-Will improve performance of all of Celestial Being's existing Gundams and eventually grant premature access to GN Gundam and mobile suits from 00 S2

A/N: And here is the research update. I hope there wasn't too much techno-babble. Also, spot the technologies from other anime! Please vote, discuss, and critique.

Huh. Layzner isn't something I was expecting, but that's interesting...the Fishbowl is a funky one, I honestly can't think of anything like it. It sounds like a magical one, or maybe some sort of old styled sci-fi. Y'know, where it's more mundane technology taken to bullshit extremes to achieve the necessary effects, rather than something like entirely new elements, physics, or technology. Less like Photon Power or a G-Diffuser, more like a flying car still using diesel.

And that Knight carries Nanolaminate armor...Which does explain how it actually managed to keep existing instead of being completely obliterated. That's some rather hefty beam resistance, after all.

Hm. Hmm.

I'm a bit torn, here. Mithril could definitely benefit from improvements to it's machines, as they have plenty of trouble by themselves, and their enemies are only going to get more and more difficult for them to fight without breakthroughs. Quite a few events could be migitated or improved by giving Mithril a better playing field earlier...and Sosuke can be rather broken in a good Lambda driver machine.

On the other hand, the Celestial Being Gundams don't necessarily need the boost, they don't tend to be outmatched technologically for too long, but that boost could potentially resonate to other Gundam series, giving us some help in Wing or U.C...

...Hm. I'll give it to Sosuke. Let's hope his better machines let him kill Gauron and Mr Gates a lot better.

And I just noticed that I was totally right about Whispered getting hints into technology from other franchises in SRW carrying over here! Even if it doesn't mean too much in our current dimension, it will be invaluable in understanding the miriad of techs the Council could send at us...

Like all good robot tech.

[X] Incorporating things from the knockoff E-Carbon

You know, given the amount of mooks we field in this game, potentially getting access to advanced members of the GN-X/Ahead line will be really helpful.

Yeah gonna go for the gundams.
[X] Incorporating things from the knockoff E-Carbon

Mostly since this could probably throw a wrench to ribbons plans because he doesn't expect for us to just upgrade our gundams this early into the game.

We can probably research the lambda driver later and besides if they manage to kidnap Chidori or Tessa that is gonna cost us a lot, specially once the enemy starts deploying upgraded drivers from that.

At least seems no one in the council seems to be stupid enough to mess with stuff like the black hole engine.

Better Mooks can only equal good things for us in the long term. Sorry Sosuke, maybe next time.

Who knows, if we style on Ribbons hard enough he might go full circle and cease being a threat. Right. And The Gundam Meisters will collectively oversee nonviolent protests against war while getting over their traumas.

[X] Breaking the laws of physics

Well, well, well. Early access to all the Black Knight's own KMF designs, and said designs having Radiant Wave Shields? Hell yeah, boys.

Gonna give this to Mithril in the probably vain hopes the M9 series will benefit. Not to mention fixing Laevatein's whole problem of having absolutely no combat endurance to go with it's immense power.

I suspect the non-Ace M9s won't, at least not any time soon but any future units we get from FMP will be improved, and we'll probably get the planned Falke one installed. We also might get it installed on units that originally never had them, like Melissa's replacement M9.

Heck, if we're really lucky our M9 squad might be retrofitted or replaced with a new Lambda-equipped variant, or maybe a new model entirely, like an MP Falke.

One thing I am pretty sure of is that having a better understanding of the Lambda driver earlier will ease a lot of the worst FMP battles and reduce the threat of Behemoths and Codarl units. Maybe even lead into early development of Anti-Lambda weapons and tech, like the Fairy's Eye.

Hopefully. Leonard's biggest advantage was always that Mithril only has one Lambda Driver AS to his A Lot, and Sousuke can't be everywhere. Fixing that will massively shift the odds.

This, 100%, the bad guys have a shitton of Lambda drivers and Mithril basically just has the one Arbalast, which means most of their units are basically running on Ace Custom Mooks.

Not to mention Sosuke was often at a disadvantage even with the Lambda driver, since Mithril actually...y'know, cares about him and doesn't want him drugged to the gills to maximize it's use, which isn't the case for... basically every enemy Mithril fights ever.

It did take quite a while for him to reliably use it, so a better understanding of the technology will let him master it sooner.

Going to go with this just so Sousuke has a mid-season upgrade that (hopefully) doesn't start steadily falling apart on him after it's first fight. He'd probably appreciate that~

[x] Breaking the laws of physics

I still have occasional flashbacks to Leonard's debut battle in SRW V and his AS being such an absolute pain to destroy. If we can get a head-start on making such easier here, then I'm down with that.

Well, well, well. Early access to all the Black Knight's own KMF designs, and said designs having Radiant Wave Shields? Hell yeah, boys.
If I understood correctly, that only applies for designs specifically derived from the Guren. Which, granted, sounds a lot more restrictive in my head than might be the case in reality.

At this point in the timeline I'm fairly certain that we're waiting on the Gekka and or it's successors. Although knowing Lelouch, I'm fairly certain that the Black Knights will upgrade to the superior unit as soon as practical.

That or Lulu will break a few out on an enemy as one of his miracles.

I didn't think the Burai and its variants were.
Ah, I see the confusion - the Burai isn't really a Black Knight machine, but a Japanese variant of the first military KMF Britannia used common to all Japanese resistance forces. The actual Black Knight KMFs are the Gekka and its mass production form, the Akatsuki, which while 7th gen Knightmares had a few disadvantages against, say, the Vincent. Having Radiant Wave tech, even only the shield, would be a massive aid in that regard.

Mandatory Event: Return from Cephiro

September UE 0083
Copenhagen, Former territory of the Sanc Kingdom, provisional annex to Denmark under the Earth Federation

You are Relena Peacecraft, and although you've steeled your resolve, you're still a bit nervous about the course of action you've set your heart on. You take a look in the mirror. Apparently, the dress you're currently wearing borrows heavily from an outfit from the pre-UE era film Roman Holiday; Dorothy claims that her tailor had a spark of 'inspiration' after watching the film with her husband one night. You nervously tap the back of your head-you're not used to your hair being done up so tightly.

You sigh. Apparently you were so lost in thought that you didn't notice the door opening, as Dorothy suddenly hugs you from behind.

"Nerves at a time like this, Queen Peacecraft? I suppose it's only natural for an occasion like this." Dorothy says with a hint of affection.

"It's just...will my message get through to the right people? Neo-Hope's stranglehold on the Earth Federation is insidiously powerful." You wonder out loud.

"The most important thing is that you're making a statement at a time like this. Too many are hoping for the status quo to change on their own." Dorothy points out. "Besides, once you're live, Neo-Hope won't be able to move openly against you without making themselves look like the villain."

"I suppose you're right." You concede.

"That's the spirit. Now chin up, dear, you have a speech to make." Dorothy takes a comb and runs it through your hair one last time before taking you by the hand. The both of you walk toward an auditorium where you've scheduled a press conference.

As the two of you walk through the halls, you're joined by Zechs, your long-lost brother, Treize, Dorothy's cousin and the commander of the Solar Vanguard, and Heero, the Gundam pilot who inadvertently sent you down this path just by meeting with you. You blush slightly and feel your heart flutter at the sight of Heero in particular. It certainly doesn't hurt that for once, he's not wearing his usual tank top and shorts, he's instead clad in a blue tuxedo, likely lent to him by Treize.

"All of you, thank you for being with me for this." You say.

"It takes quite a bit of courage to do what you're about to do, Ms. Peacecraft." Treize comments.

"No more than what is needed to truly fight in defense of humanity." You say with a hint of self-deprecation.

"Words can be just as powerful as mobile suits. After all, the most powerful weapon is worthless if the gunner doesn't have the will to pull the trigger." Zechs says.

"No matter what happens as a result of this, I will protect you Relena." Heero says.

You clasp your hands over your heart.

"Thank you, all of you."

You decide to get one thing out of the way while you're still away from the prying eyes of the media. You walk up to Heero, put your hands on his shoulders, pull him close, and kiss him on the cheek. Dorothy makes a noise of delight while she claps in approval.

"I assume you'll be watching from the shadows?" You say, half-serious, half-teasing.

"Naturally. It wouldn't do for the Queen of the Sanc Kingdom to be publicly associated with one of the Colony Gundam pilots." Heero says as he adjusts his collar.

With that, Heero breaks off from your group to head to a private balcony that will be out of view of the cameras in the auditorium. At the doors to the auditorium, you take a deep breath before nodding at Zechs to open the door.

"And now, presenting her Royal Highness, Relena Peacecraft!" You hear the announcer say.

That's your cue. You walk onto the stage to a smattering of applause, not the entire auditorium, but more than you'd anticipated. As you step up to the podium, you spy Marquis Weridge in the front row, who gives an approving nod as he meets your gaze. He's accompanied by all of the members of Romefeller that he, Dorothy, and Treize managed to subvert. There's...quite a few more than you expected, if the number of code tassels you see is any indication. You glance up toward Heero's private balcony to see that he's accompanied by Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner, Sally Po, and Lucrezia Noin. As you see Trowa give you a complimentary salute, you turn your gaze back toward the main crowd and the cameras.

"People of the Earth Sphere, I am Relena Peacecraft." You begin your speech.

You are Zechs Merquise, and you are currently watching your sister, Relena Peacecraft, give what will undoubtedly be one of the most impactful speeches in the history of the Earth Sphere since General Revil's 'Zeon is exhausted!' speech.

"Magnificent, isn't she?" Treize comments. You nod.

"Why do we fight amongst ourselves when there are clear and present extraterrestrial dangers on our doorstep? Why do we let Blue Cosmos, the very harbingers of hatred itself, continue to fan the flames of war against other human beings? I call upon all of you, please, do not give in to fear and suspicion. To that end, with the support of the Romefeller Foundation, I hereby declare the reestablishment of the Sanc Kingdom, which will work toward a future of peace and unity!" Relena concludes her speech.

The auditorium erupts into applause, with Marquis Weridge standing up as he claps, the other members of Romefeller who support Relena doing the same.

"I can't imagine Duke Dermail is going to be happy when he gets wind of this." You note to Treize.

"He most certainly won't be. There's not much he's going to be able to do about it though." Treize says smugly.

You smirk.

Build Base, Coast of Japan

"What do you mean you won't turn her over for arrest?!" Miwa yells in rage over a video call.

"I mean exactly what I say, Miwa. Ms. Plato is currently our honored guest, and we won't tolerate this slander that you and Blue Cosmos are spreading. In fact, it couldn't be further from the truth; according to Ms. Plato herself, she defected from Giganos when she failed to convince her brother of the error of his ways." Professor Shiba says in a disinterested tone.

"You damn traitor! I'll have everything you own confiscated for this!" Miwa bristles.

"Good luck with that. We have a deal with the Solar Vanguard, which has a deal with EFF High Command. With the Jama Kingdom emerging again, no one will take your requests to try and confiscate Jeeg and our technology seriously. Besides, doesn't Blue Cosmos have bigger fish to fry with the reemergence of the Sanc Kingdom?" Professor Shiba says smugly.

Miwa can't even form a coherent response before he cuts his end of the video call. A few seconds later, Linda Plato enters the room, accompanied by Kaine, Tapp, and Light.

"Sorry for imposing on you like this." Linda apologizes before bowing.

Professor Shiba laughs.

"No need for that! It felt good to finally be able to spit in Miwa's face after so long. Do you know how many times he tried to hijack this project before we went private?" He asks rhetorically.

"Ah...well, thank you anyway." Linda says.

"You know how to pick them, boy." Professor Shiba says to Kaine.

Kaine and Linda both blush and turn away from each other while Tapp and Light laugh.

With the reemergence of the Sanc Kingdom, it and the Solar Vanguard have enough political capital to try and negotiate with an opposing faction.

Who do you start with? (Pick ONE)

[ ] ZAFT
-Although Blue Cosmos will likely try to sabotage or invalidate any negotiations that occur, it might be able to kindle some kind of pacifist or at the least anti-war faction within PLANT.

[ ] Boazanians
-With Prince Heinel once again starting up his offensive, no one's in the mood to deal with Boazanian Battle Beasts again, least of all the Voltes and Combattler teams. See if the seed of doubt that was planted with the safe return of Katherine has started to bloom.

[ ] Balmians
-The Balmians have perhaps the most 'legitimate' grievances with the Earth Federation, but doesn't justify a lot of what they've done in an attempt to establish a new home. With Erika's help, you might be able to reopen a dialogue with them. However, as she tells it, her brother Richter is incredibly stubborn, and has seen quite a bit of humanity's dark side...

A/N: Here is the update, with political intrigue and implications ahoy! I apologize if the Dragonar section seems short, but I couldn't think of a better way to do it without getting unnecessarily complicated. Also, why has nobody pointed out that most of my threadmark titles are either taken wholesale from episodes of the related anime, or a combination of episode titles that I think fit the situation? Also, no one spotted the liquid ball technology from Gundam Reconguista in the last threadmark, huh? Anyway, please vote, discuss, and critique!
