Will our heroes comment on the Horned Boazanians looking like Space French Aristocrats and reference the French Revolution regarding the Liberation of Boazan when they take part of it?

It's okay. I think the whole discussion issue is mostly due to the vote being so conclusive in this case, sorta like the one for the epilogue for Code Geass's events.

...and the amount of discussion has dropped off a cliff. Again.
I didn't want to double post and was waiting for someone to answer my question regarding the heroes' perspective of Boazanian Empire with its horned people looking like Space French Aristocrats.

Or if Beast Fighters can be mass produced or Boazanians make their own mobile suits that are scaled down and able to be made with relative amount of resources and industrial capacity.

So about Boazanian stuff...

Boazanian Beast Fighters are about as easy to produce for them as Dr. Hell's Mechabeasts. Not as expensive as a genuine Super Robot, but certainly not as cheap as a mobile suit.

UFO Fighters, on the other hand, are the like the Moebius mobile armor from Gundam Seed for the Boazanians. They're awful and outclassed by basically everything else in the role they're intended for, but the Boazanians keep making them anyway because it's the cheapest option available.

As I keep saying, there won't be all that much discussion in the thread, since we have a combination of few posters and unreliable activity from said posters, so it's difficult to get discussions going, especially if one of the more active users says something and then waits for reactions from other people in the thread before contributing more to the thread (me and warmachine do seem to be keen on avoiding doubleposting).

On to another matter... as I've said earlier, Marianne wasn't present for Magna Carta and also did not show up during the confrontation with Charles on either side. So I'm curious to hear what she thinks with regards to what went down during Magna Carta and what she intends to do now.

I see.

I thought Beast Fighters were quite expensive as Heinel and his generals spent their resources and efforts to make each of them stronger and more powerful than their predecessor.

After studying Voltes V of their schematics and ultra electromagnetic energy, and fighting style to turn that against them.

That's the impression I get when the Boazanians were shocked of Voltes V defeating Dokugaga, as they never expected the Super Robot made by humanity would pose a threat and assume it's easy to handle.

At least until too many defeats had Zambajil order the Boazanian forces abandon the prince and return to Boazan for wasting too many resources.

I mean, if Beast Fighters were as expensive as Super Robots, they wouldn't be able to make nearly as many of them.

Also, I suppose part of it can be attributed to the fact that this is an SRW quest, and as a result, I flashback to times when I had to deal with 8 copies of the same Beast Fighter in a stage in SRW J.

Yeah it is always funny just seeing that one boss unit later being turned into the mook units.

Like the armored chieftains or Akane Kaijus on 30.

Then you have things like the true/IF endings which normally tend to chuck at you multiple copies of the normal route final boss with all of their skillls still working.

Grateful we still haven't had to deal with any enemy that has HP Regen L, those can get quite annoying, especially if you have to defeat a bunch of fodder enemies just beforehand.

I still have nightmares from A portable, didn't knew at the time that people skip the final battle of Daitarn 3 for very good reasons.

And don't get me started on the axis shock final stage.

I mean, if Beast Fighters were as expensive as Super Robots, they wouldn't be able to make nearly as many of them.
True, Heinel and his generals were able to create Saimon and Daimon, two Beast Fighters at the same time.

And the production capabilities of Boazanians might be different from the humans, being a more advanced alien civilization in their own right.

Speaking of which, I can see Kentaro Go/La Gohl weigh the pros and cons of producing mobile suits. Such as providing the Earth Defense Force under General Oka their own mobile suit corps (be their first hand me downs in form of GMs or Zakus or any mass produced grunts from Gryps Conflict or Neo Zeon Wars), they would be no match for one Beast Fighter but can handle the UFO Fighters and provide combat support to Voltes V.

Marianne vi Britannia sighs as she tosses a flower into the Thames River.

"I'll miss you, my love." She sighs as she turns away.

Fa Yuiry raises an eyebrow as the two of them walk.

"Please tell me you're not planning on starting something to avenge Charles in the future." Fa says.

Marianne gives a bitter chuckle.

"We both know I'm in no position to attempt something that stupid. It's just..." Marianne sighs. "I wish Charles could have seen sense in the end."

"What do you mean by that?" Fa asks.

"He could have abandoned the Ragnorak Connection at any time and instead worked to better the world. I admit, I also saw the appeal of a World Without Lies. But, given what the Council seems to be capable of, it might have only made it easier for them to beat us." Marianne laments.

"How do figure that?" Fa asks with a raised eyebrow.

"You know how the Council attempted to use a device to hijack the mind of the Pillar of Cephiro? Who's to say they haven't devised a way to hijack a humanity that has turned itself into a collective mind?" Marianne speculates.

"Oh, I hope you're wrong about that..." Fa shudders.

Buckingham Palace

The coronation of the 99th Empress of Britannia, Euphemia, is currently being broadcast throughout the Earth Sphere.

The ceremony has gone on for the last four hours, and is entering its last stage. The crown already sits atop Euphemia's head, a modest thing compared to what had been proposed previously, which had been derisively called 'the pope hat' for its sheer size.

Cornelia li Britannia walks over and presents a cushion with a sword atop it. Euphemia takes the sword and gives her sister a kind smile. Cornelia backs away as five individuals walk up and kneel before Euphemia.

Anya Alstreim, the Knight of Six.
Gino Weinberg, the Knight of Three.
Dorothea Ernst, the Knight of Four.
Nonette Enneagram, the Knight of Nine.
Monica Krushevsky, the Knight of Twelve.

A harsh-looking Britannian officer walks up to the group of Knights and unfurls a scroll.

"Do you, all of you, swear your loyalty to Euphemia li Britannia, 99th Empress of the Realm?" The officer reads.

"Yes." The remaining Knights of the Round say in unison.

"So help you God?" The officer presses.

"So help us God." The Knights respond in unison.

The officer turns and nods to Euphemia, who walks up to each Knight of the Round and taps the sword she has on the shoulders of each Knight, who all stand after she does so.

There's not much more to the coronation after that.

Wilderness of the Philippines

The Voltes and Combattler teams wait uneasily in a jungle clearing along with Professor Go, scanning the skies for any sign of a Boazanian transport.

"You sure Heinel won't try to pull anything?" Hyoma asks Kenichi.

"Positive. His sense of honor is too strong." Kenichi answers.

"Well, hope you're right. And if he tries to pull anything, we've got your back." Hyoma says, patting Kenichi on the shoulder.

"Thanks." Kenichi nods in appreciation.

At that moment, everyone's communicators crackle to life.

"We've sighted a Boazanian transport and made radio contact with it. It's Prince Heinel. We're escorting him and his entourage to your location." An EFF pilot says.

A few minutes later, a Boazanian transport flies into the clearing, escorted by two Skygraspers. The transport touches down, with Heinel, Jangal, Katherine, and a few guards coming out.

"So, you were foolish enough to challenge me in an honorable duel, hornless ones! I do not know whether to commend your sudden sense of honor or laugh at the idea that you think you can beat me in such a manner. Regardless, I have come to answer your challenge." Heinel says pompously.

"Yeah, yeah. We using our blades, yours, or both?" Kenichi asks after rolling his eyes.

"We will use traditional Boazanian fencing blades." Heinel says before snapping his fingers.

One of the guards produces a large case, which Jangal opens, taking out two large swords that resemble European broadswords. Jangal courteously hands one blade to Heinel while tossing the other to Kenichi. Kenichi catches the tossed sword and unsheathes it, Heinel doing the same for his own.

As Kenichi waves about his sword experimentally, Heinel taps the tip of his with his index finger before looking at Kenichi.

"We shall start five paces apart. Is that acceptable?" Heinel asks.

"Sure. Are we going to care about any out-of-bounds rules?" Kenichi responds.

"Informally, the area of the arena is usually around twelve paces. Under the current circumstances, though, I expect that it will be viewed poorly if either of us dives into the tree line." Heinel answers.

"Fair enough." Kenichi says.

The two of them take position five paces apart from each other in the center of the clearing. Kenichi readies his sword in a classic two-handed kendo stance, while Heinel flourishes his blade before assuming some kind of Boazanian fencing stance.

Katherine steps forward and holds up her arm for a second before bringing it down, signaling the start of the duel.

Heinel burst forward, aggressively stabbing at Kenichi, who sidesteps before slashing down at Heinel. Heinel parries the blow before swiping at Kenichi's legs. Kenichi deflects the blow with his own blade before swinging it at Heinel diagonally, who steps backward to avoid the blow.

Heinel snarls a bit as he and Kenichi size each other up, the two of them walking in a circle around the edge of the 'arena'.

Heinel makes the first move again, charging forward and swinging his blade and attempting to embed it in one of Kenichi's arms. Kenichi deflects the blows before forcing Heinel back with a hasty upward swing. Heinel surges forward and attempts to stab Kenichi, only for Kenichi to bat aside Heinel's sword easily.

Realizing he's overcommitted, Heinel attempts to back up, only for Kenichi to seize the initiative and assault him with a barrage of blows. Heinel is able to parry them all, but his endurance begins to flag, and so he is caught off guard when Kenichi leaps into the air and slashes down with a powerful two-handed strike. Heinel instinctually brings up his own sword to block the blow, the force of impact forcing him to his knees.

As Kenichi presses the attack against Heinel, a crack forms in the Boazanian prince's sword. Heinel's eyes widen as he immediately leans back, his sword's blade breaking in two. Heinel looks at what's left of his sword in his hand, and then the broken part of the blade on the ground.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Finish me off or take me prisoner, but do not make me squirm!" Heinel scoffs.

"My lord!" Katherine says worriedly.

"Do not interfere!" Heinel snaps.

"Hey, we never said this duel was to the death." Kenichi says.

"Then what was the point of this entire thing?!" Heinel demands.

"There's someone who wants to talk to you." Kenichi says, gesturing for Professor Go to come over.

Heinel narrows his eyes as Professor Go gets closer.

"What do you want?" Heinel asks in disgust.

"I am curious...do you have, in your possession, a dagger with an emblem of a pair of twin doves upon it?" Professor Go asks.

"I do, but how would you know that?" Heinel asks, taken off guard by the odd question.

"May I see it? If I am correct about my assumptions, I will explain." Professor Go requests.

Heinel grumbles, but takes out the dagger in question, handing it to Kenichi, who hands it over to Professor Go.

Professor Go scrutinizes the emblem on the dagger, his face lighting up in recognition. He blinks before wiping tears out of his eyes.

"Oh, Lozaria..." Professor Go says mournfully.

Heinel's expression immediately turns to one of shock.

"How do you know that name?" Heinel asks.

"Where did you get this dagger?" Professor Go asks.

"It's the only memento I have of my mother. She died giving birth to me, so I was told." Heinel says.

"I hate it when I'm right..." Professor Go laments.

"Excuse me?" Heinel asks in confusion.

"Heinel, this is going to be hard to believe, but I am your father. Lozaria was my first wife." Professor Go says.

"Ridiculous! You, a hornless earthling, wife to Boazanian nobility before we ever knew of Earth?!" Heinel rebuts.

"You're only half correct. I may be hornless, but I am not a human. I am a hornless Boazanian. Surely you have heard of the disgraced Prince La Gour? The emblem of my house is of twin doves, identical to the one on this dagger." Professor Go says.

It takes a few seconds for Heinel and the other Boazanians to process the implications, but it immediately becomes clear when they do.

Katherine puts her hand over her mouth in shock, while Jangal's eyes widen in surprise at the implications.

Heinel's expression morphs between one of rage, denial, and sorrow several times before turning into one of resigned acceptance.

"How...what..." Heinel says.

Kenichi offers his hand to Heinel, who shakily grabs it.

As Kenichi helps Heinel up, it's clear the Boazanian prince is still in a daze as he grapples with the implications of this revelation, not the least of which are that he's been fighting against his father and half-brothers for the entire invasion.

Katherine walks over and puts a hand on Heinel's shoulder.

"My lord..." Katherine looks down, unsure of what to say.

"This...this is an unexpected development." Heinel states.

Kenichi snorts.

"Understatement of the year." He deadpans.

What do you do next?

[ ] Push for an alliance
-Given Zu Zambajil's disdain for Heinel, as well as the fact that he hasn't sent any significant support over for some time, it's clear that he intends for Heinel to act rashly and get himself killed on a suicide mission. Why not push back together?

[ ] Leave Heinel alone for now
-Heinel is clearly too shaken by this revelation to continue the invasion. Let him process this on his own, and hopefully he'll come around to cooperation.

[ ] Write-in
-Assassinating Heinel now is not allowed-it would be out of character and mean-spirited.

Daimovic Base

Miwa grumbles as he's admitted into Daimovic Base.

He had suddenly been invited over to the headquarters of Daimos, but for what reason, he hasn't the faintest idea.

A part of him hopes that they called him over to announce that they're handing control of Daimos over to him. He's not that delusional though. He knows the staff of Daimovic Base hate his guts.

Regardless, Miwa barrels through the halls like he owns the place. A man can dream, after all.

He opens the door to the meeting room to see Kazuya Ryuuzaki, Kyoshiro Yuzuki, Commander Izumi, Nana Izumi, and an ECOAS colonel all glaring at him.

"Gentlemen. Ladies. What seems to be the matter?" Miwa says as he adjusts his suit before taking a seat at the meeting table.

The ECOAS colonel opens up an attaché case before dumping the contents in front of Miwa.

"EXPLAIN." The ECOAS colonel demands venomously.

Miwa opens up one of the files to see a photo of several EFF marines lining up Balmians against a wall at gunpoint. The next photo in the file shows those same EFF marines dumping dead Balmians into a mass grave, a bulldozer in the background, while Miwa overlooks the grisly work off to the side.

Miwa puts the photos down before glancing up at the group before him.

"Are you expecting me to apologize?" Miwa says contemptuously.
"WHY? WHY DID YOU KILL THOSE BALMIANS?! THEY FLED THE MAIN BALM HABITAT BECAUSE THEY WERE LOOKING TO LIVE IN PEACE!" Kazuya yells.

"There can be no peace until all Balmians have been exterminated! I thought I made this clear before!" Miwa snaps back.

Kazuya lets out a bellow of rage before leaping at Miwa, tackling him out of his chair.

What ensues is a savage beating that causes the others in the room to wince.

"Uh, Kazuya's not trying to kill him, right...?" Nana asks hesitantly.

"Looks like he's targeting vital areas and pressure points to maximize the amount of pain Miwa's feeling while keeping him alive." Kyoshiro notes.

A few minutes later, Kazuya gets off of Miwa, whose face is now badly bruised, a nasty cut on his cheek and blood streaming out of his nose.

The ECOAS colonel snaps his fingers, and two MPs along with a pair of medics enter the room.

"Patch him up and take him away. No painkillers. Bastard doesn't deserve them after what he's done." The colonel orders.

The medics nod, the MPs helping to drag Miwa out of the room and down the hall.

A few seconds later, Richter enters, escorted by two N.U.N.S. marines.

"That good enough for you?" Kazuya asks.

"More than satisfactory. I assume he and those who participated in those atrocities will be tried for his crimes?" Richter asks.

"Yeah. We'll court marshal them as soon we're able to." The ECOAS colonel assures Richter.

"Very well. Now, as promised, I will tell you all about my sister's plans..." Richter says as he takes a seat at the meeting table, pointedly avoiding the chair Miwa had taken.

A/N: Almost the end of the turn now. All that's left is the socialization action with Kazuya and then the fight with Zeruel. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

Sees Zeruel fight coming around the corner

...Are we gonna let Shinji get his hands on an S2 Engine? Sure, it will give his EVA a perpetual power source that's miles ahead of goddamn Achilles' power cables but it could take SEELE ever closer to ending the damn world.

Do we have any ideas for a write-in regarding Heinel? If not, between the preset options, I'm more in favor of pushing for an alliance, but I am willing to hear arguments for leaving the matter alone for now.

Time for the Liberation of Boazan! Including the combination of Big Falcon and Solar Bird for our heroes to board it with their mobile suits to Warp jump to Boazan and liberate the planet from Zambajil.

Um, unless things have rapidly changed by a huge degree, do you mean Erika and what she knows about her Brothers plans?

[X] Push for an alliance

This was one of the reason of why I voted for the Voltes and Daimos events, we are pretty much close to deal heavy blows to canon and get 2 more series endings.

Heinel is a hothead when he wants to be, so may as well keep a close eye on him just in case to make sure he doesn't get himself killed or Katherine taking a shot for him since her dying also leads to Heinel dying too.

At least with this we suvert a great deal of the invading force with only those still loyal to Zambajil being a threat.

Also finally good riddance of Miwa, the guy was a bastard all around so getting rid of him will lift one problem out of our shoulders.

Hence we need to make an alliance and also have Heinel spend some time to bond with the Go brothers who are his half-siblings after he found out the truth of being the firstborn son of La Gohl/Kentaro Go.

For the Liberation of Boazan, Heinel will have to claim Godol the Ultimate Beast Fighter as his mecha and pilot it to topple Zambajil and also oppose the Council.

Voltes V and Godol fighting together side by side would be pure unadulterated awesomeness.

I'm surprised Miwa didn't jump ship and throw his lot with the Council or Blue Cosmos since they do share one thing about hating anyone that isn't human, for Miwa, it's the Balmians and Blue Cosmos, it's Coordinators.
