Yes you did, that's the canon Intrepid, more or less.
Yes, but also there's more to the class than Voyager.Whelp. Everything we decide here is going to heavily impact Voyager's journey.
I'd say the Intrepid is more of the ovoid option?
Pretty sure the canon design is the ovoid hull.
Edit: or maybe not, it's not super clear to me. @Sayle can you clarify?
No, you're right, Voyager had a secondary deflector and dorsal sensor suite, a la the ovoid hull.Pretty sure the canon design is the ovoid hull.

We lose quite a bit of cruise speed without the secondary deflector, and cruise speed is probably something we want on a long-range explorer. Something the Ushann is emphatically not.Think I'm gonna go with the Ushaan hull, then if the other two options are close to cannon.
We'd be cutting into the sensor suite if we did that, but we could probably remove the lounge windows and mount the sensors higher on the hull, and put the registry number below the phaser strip.so i pulled up the canon class and i found a major point we should change. for some reaason they split the T-10 phaser arrasy into a starboard and port array. i think we need to bridge that gap and mount a second array because even without the Uhaan hull's boost it will pack one hell of a punch for self defense. I've marked the rough ide of the change in green.
moving the senors up feels like a good idea anyway. that carve out portion bothers me.We'd be cutting into the sensor suite if we did that, but we could probably remove the lounge windows and mount the sensors higher on the hull, and put the registry number below the phaser strip.
