[X] Ovoid Secondary Hull

It's gonna be pretty funny if we end up making all the same choices as the canon design. Not necessarily a bad thing, either! But not what we'd have expected going in.

@Sayle, can the greater internal space from the lengthened secondary hull allow us to take a more powerful deflector/other options that would make the ship faster at warp?

...Will those just eat all of the space we'd have gained from a lengthened hull in the first place?

My feeling is that taking a prototype deflector can get you to equal competition with the ovoid and a little more internal space. It'll be a larger ship, is all. And of course a bit harder to produce.

As some of the more knowledgeable here has stated, having very efficient deflectors and optimal Warp cruise speed is a must for Science Vessels, so yeah, gimme the ovoid ship.

In this case, I'd be happy taking the

[X] Lengthened Secondary Hull
-[X] If and only if we are permitted to take, and commit to taking, the prototype deflector

Otherwise

Maybe we can get enough space for an actual arboretum or at least a garden so the crew doesn't have to repurpose a cargo bay for hydroponics.

[X] Lengthened Secondary Hull

We've already made an internal space compromise with the primary hull, long range means we need more space for crew, comfort and supplies.

If we want a cheaper, slower version of the Intrepid, then the Nova canonically exists and is basically that. This ship is meant to travel out into the unknown, so let's give it a little more space to do it with.

Honestly aesthetically speaking I really like the "fused" look of Voyager, and would prefer we kept that and just made a stretch limo version.
