Star Wars: Rebellion

Strike First
Strike First

You are Admiral Kiryuin. Young, gifted. Loyal, to Lord- to Anakin Skywalker. To the Rebellion. From your bridge command, you see the stars one final time. General Skywalker's task force, the Redemption and Victory Star Destroyers stolen last year, begins transmission to you.

From the main holo-projector, General Othello, both Skywalkers, and Admiral Ackbar appear, translucent. "Admiral Kiryuin, are you ready for your part?"

"Yes, Admiral. All ships of task force Soaring Eagle, on my mark..."

"May the Force be with us."

"Mark!" With that single command, every Victory Star Destroyer leaps through hyperspace, and with a great and terrible speed, arrives in the Tatoo system, over Ohann. Disembarking TIE Fighters leak from every ship, aimed for Tatooine. One shuttle breaks off, stealthy, and aimed for the Death Star's hangar.

"All ships, head for holding sector five-nine. We're gonna have company soon." Tunneling through space, vast edifices of steel and fire stride like some ancient King. Then, an explosion. One of your Victories begins leaking smoke from its bridge as the Imperials finally deign to show themselves. Harkov's ship explodes as the Imperials spring their trap, some twenty-five Star Destroyers surround the Lusankya as your own ships begin to return fire. You only have to hold for moments, only moments...

Finally, the Rebel Fleet springs its trap. Springing into the system unannounced, the Home One Types are the first to appear, disembarking their fighters. Two Star Destroyers are sent down in flames in as many minutes as suddenly, for the first time, your own forces outnumber the Imperials. Still, you reflect, as you watch the Rebel fleet trade fire with the Lusankya, the Redemption in particular pouring volley after volley into her gullet, that this battle may yet be won or lost. TIE Fighter strikes at TIE Fighter as the X-Wings move to destroy their enemies, Alliance and Empire alike. Green and red stars burst into existence then die as the full might of the Alliance is turned to one task: Give the strike team time.

Finally, the Normandy, drives burning hot and steaming, fires two concussion missiles. The shield on the Death Star's hangar falls apart as the Jedi Strike Team grabs their gear, seals their armor, and finish their meditation.

Choose the members of your strike team. The more chosen, the easier a time the strike team will have. That being said, many, if not most of these people are also commanders or heroes, meaning that the more you choose, the likelier you are to face more casualties or even fail the other parts of the assault.

Covers most of the major skills we'd want for this.

We ourselve are noted in the GMs top 10 list to have the least chance against Palpy so why would we want to go?

From a tactical standpoint, sending Tellus on a infiltration/assassination mission is a mistake. He's to overall commander of the Rebellion and should be in a position to give orders. That being said, I really want him to be there to kick Palpatine's ass.

Against him alone. With Martial badasses like Anakin and Luke to handle being on the frontline we can help via Force shenanigans.

Edit: Oh and for a rematch with Robo Lumiya :p

Galen was strong enough to hold out against Palps in the game, so he would be a good addition. Ahsoka would be good because she can help hold off against the no doubt other sith there. And she has a right to be there. Not Leia, she would be best with the ground forces like in canon.

This team should be able to handle Palpatine and potential lackeys.
