Un-named Protoplanetary System

The Grand Moff looked out from the chair on the bridge of the Iron Fist, deep within this nebula there were protoplanets beginning to form, and perhaps in a few more million years there would be a perfectly functioning star system serving some far flung empire. Laughing to himself, "This galaxy is always in the middle of some type of Star Wars." he heard the foot steps approach of Director Savess, one of the few Kuati scientists that had taken up his lucrative job offer. She had been that would oversee this installation being built. "Director," smiled the moff. "I presume you have good news."

The woman scoffed, "Hardly. This need for security is nonsense, and hiding not one but several Imperial Scientific Bureaus inside an asteroid field is folly?"

Zsinj waved his hand dismissively, "Once the gravity generators are installed, it will be of little importance. Sooner still the quarters and labs will be built." he looked to the Director, as she tucked a loose strand of her white hair behind her ear. "With one installation complete, forces are moving in. Clearing out mynocks and Ice worms were the most difficult. All of the interesting engineering problems have been solved."

"Hence why you cannibalized two Interdictors, and stripped 2 Victories of their Drive systems?" the blithe director shrugged, thankfully she was too smart to be wasting time on KP duty. "Easiest way to bring things in, without a bunch of beacons. Few people are insane enough to fly into a Protoplanetary system, building in it was an interesting challenge. Setting a system for shipment and delivery was merely a question of mathematics, vector analysis, and precision."

Zsinj nodded, it was a more interesting challenge than the Eclipse at least, Savess was bored out of her mind on that proejct. "Good, inform me of any materials or equipment you need. Anything else Director?"

"A question." said the Director, "Where'd you get the idea for this?"

Zsinj regarded her, the woman had demonstrated loyalty, and as long as he provided her with challenging projects she would remain in his employ, "I was reviewing files in the Imperial Archives. The late Grand Moff Tarkin petitioned the Emperor to build an installation in the Maw." he shook his head, only Tarkin would even get such a plan before the Emperor, "While I doubt it was ever built, or even planned beyond preliminary stages. The idea was captivating." He walked towards the window looking out at the opaque nebula, far off he could see a rocky planetoid pass. Was there an Imperial Installation under there in an Ice worm cave? "An Imperial Research Center, where there were no restrictions on development, total security, and no outside distractions." he looked back at the Director, "although I don't have Tarkin's penchant for superweapons. Superweapons just put a bigger bullseye on you, and it's more likely that someone will overlook a meter wide vent that goes straight into the reactor." Zsinj smiled

Savess frowned... No Imperial Engineer had lived down THAT particular embarrassment, and there was relief when Director Galen's sabotage was discovered. In short the new motto of the Engineering Corps was, "Keep it Simple, Stupid". "Yes, Grand Moff. My shuttle will depart within the hour to the Prospero Installation. We will look forward to your next inspection." and with that she turned and left.

Zsinj merely nodded looking back out. Soon his projects would bear fruit.

Now, as we're sure you're aware, there are various programs in the Stormtrooper Corps to elevate outstanding soldiers to roles with higher responsibilities as befitting their ability--we think that, given the performance of yourself and your squad, you all easily qualify for such a thing. Liberation of Raxus Secundus

Admiral Chart (of no relation to Admiral Raddus)

---
Moving on from their capture of Raxus Prime, Admiral Chart has moved across the system to assist the people of Raxus Secundus in throwing off the Imperial yoke. With the Imperial presence in the system already shaken, the task of actually brushing away the few remaining ships in orbit around Raxus Secundus would prove a trifle for the far larger Rebel force and therefore allow the Rebels to land forces on the ground in support of the locals. A combination of junk droids recovered from Raxus Prime and flesh and blood soldiers would fight alongside the people of Raxus Secundus and, after several months of hard fighting, free the planet from the Empire. Grateful for the Alliance's assistance, the new government of Raxus Secundus has formally joined the Rebellion and contributed to it's ongoing efforts to overthrow the Empire.

Summary

Admiral Chart tidies up on Raxus Secundus.

Raxus Secundus joins the Rebel Alliance.

The Reclamation of Taris

Admiral Terrinald Screed

---
Continuing his quest to secure his slice of the Galaxy, Grand Moff Zsinj has taken to the ether once more in order to re-secure Taris from the renegade Admiral Terrinald Screed who has seized a small section of Imperial Space and seceded from the Empire. Beginning with more subtle moves, Zsinj would override Screed's efforts to cut Taris off from the HoloNet and begin transmitting propaganda to the citizens of the planet while contact was made with a number of officers and officials in order to bribe them into supporting Screed's early retirement. Following this up by jumping into the system at the head of a far larger and better armed fleet than Screed's, Zsinj would then politely order Screed to power down his weapons and hand himself over to Zsinj so that he might face justice. Though Screed would refuse, a mistake that would cost him his life, a significant number of lower ranking officers would heed Zsinj's call and launch a mutiny in his fleet and on the ground below sowing chaos throughout his fleet.

Unwilling to simply allow Screed to potentially escape in said chaos, the Grand Moff then had his flagship terminated with due diligence before loyalist assets brought the rest of his forces into line and secured the planet. Taris has since been transferred to Zsinj's control while those remaining planets formerly under Screed's control have fallen under the sway of a new warlord.

Summary

Screed is dead, Taris is Zsinj's.

Null and Halmad under a new warlord's control.

Sabotage

Ghes Ordo

---
Seeking to harm the Empire's ship building capacity, the Rebel Alliance has launched a series of strikes against Imperial shipbuilding facilities across the Galaxy. Through a combination of internal sabotage and several lightning raids, the Rebels have damaged facilities at Kuat, Fondor, Corellia, and Bilbringi which have caused damage that will take months to repair and inhibit the ability of the Empire and a number of Warlords to replenish their numbers. Recommended for commendation by Admiral Chart for his role in the raids in one Ghes Ordo, a Mandalorian pilot who led the squadron that hit facilities at Kuat who has reached ace status within the Rebellion for his kill count and uncanny piloting skills.

Summary

Rebels launch raids against Imperial shipyards.

Damage will take months to repair.

Ubrikkian Industries

D. Rakkus

---
On a quiet note, the former subsidiary of the Kuat Drive Yards, Ubrikkian Industries, has formally been transferred to the control of one D. Rakkus, a well known yet often unseen businessman who purchased the company prior to the affair on Kuat. The incredibly legitimate businessman has celebrated his incredibly legitimate acquisition of the business by providing it's new management with very legitimate bonuses which they have accepted with thoroughly legitimate smiles while toasting to a future of legitimate business.

Summary

Billionaire businessman, D. Rakkus, adds Ubrikkian Industries to his business portfolio.

It's all above board, honest.

I believe that we have enemies in common: the warlords which have chosen to become their own rulers.

It is understandable if in your perspective, the Empire of the Hand and the warlords are one and the same. However, there are differences. I secure the welfare and protection of my people, while the warlords do not do the same for theirs. They betray the ideals of the New Order and the Republic, are ambitious and power-hungry, and stroke their own ego at the expense of their people. They seek to build forces and wage war upon others for power and territory alone. Some of them have Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts, and I am sure you do not want those to remain at large. Some of them have track records of wanton brutality and cruelty, and I am sure you want those to stop.

What I ask for, is a ceasefire between my forces and your forces, the Empire of the Hand and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, in favor of fighting the warlords and removing their stain from the galaxy. They are threats to both of us, and as such, we will have better results if we fight them instead of each other.
I don't trust you, Imperial, but you are right. We have other foes to fight. We'll focus on them for the time being.

Does the Alliance have any major operations planned in our area of the mid rim/expansion region? We are not committed to a course of action yet, and are beginning to gather intel. However we think the Imperial world Vondarc present a major strategic threat to a cluster of Rebel and unaligned worlds, and we think it should be liberated in the near future. It is a major spaceport, close by to this cluster, and at the end of the Enarc run. The Enarc run connects it to a major concentration of Imperial worlds centered on Ropagi, next to the Harrian trade corridor. Vondarc would be an easy springboard for an attempt by Imperial forces here to re-subjugate a potentially secure Rebel region.

We believe we can rely on help from Sullust and Malastare in this, and would want to play a major, leading role in this operation. If you think this is wise, and can provide intel or pledge support for this, we can eliminate a major strategic threat to the Rebellion in the mid rim.
Discuss it with our leaders. (PM thread)

The updraft from the undercity was empty of the hot trash smell by the time it reached the apex of the tower where Rae was afforded a view unparalleled by any other, or so her billeting agent would say. Her eyes tracked upward to the distant lights of stars and the nearer flickers of the orbital stations, shuttles, and great shadows of the fleets looming against the night sky. It was remarkable, with all the enemies and threats that she could have dealt with her greatest opponent hadn't even spit out all of her baby teeth yet.

"Repeat that Adea."

"Marm..."

"Repeat it."

Her aide shifted uncomfortably, more than likely debating the merits of a short hop over the rail followed by a long life falling to the ground.

"By my royal decree I say that Soontir cannot go anywhere unless I say he can. He has to have a picture of me...marm, really this is colored pencil..."

"All of it Adea. These are your Empress' words."

"...and a fluffy toy or he will be cold. And lonely. If he doesn't I will be corss (I assume cross there), and won't eat my dinner."

Rae steepled her fingers under her nose and exhaled. This was why she would never reproduce.

"Admiral Sloane should smile like he does. Mother said ladies get old and wrinkly when they frown. She should not do that either."

She let the younger woman's mortification gel in the air, solidifying in to a mass of awkward silence that threatened to choke her.

"I want our special project crews ready to deploy at a moment's notice. Tell the engineers propulsion needs to be online ahead of schedule as well. Are you getting this Rite? Don't dawdle." Smooth as silk the Fleet Admiral shifted in to motion and speech, turning away from the balcony and fixing a stoic look over Adea's shoulder. The aide fumbled for her datapad.

"I want a report from the IDMR as well. With Fondor and Kuat bombed and Corellia fallen to traitors their work will be even more important"

"Yes, ma'am. And you mentioned the request to the Academy? Are you sure that's wise, this letter is...well...she's a child."

Sloane narrowed her eyes. "Yes. A child, as were we all. And yet, one must grow up."

She reached out and plucked the letter out of Adea's hands, read it over once more, and then crushed it in to a ball.

"This lacks the signatures of the Regency Council unfortunately. Tell Fel his vacation is over."
