Okay, the map section is updated with a (crude) map, detailing the routes between major points within the Lylat System, what kind of point of interests exist within each point in the system, and the likelihood of being attacked when Star Fox lingers in the area. White means the least likely (although not entirely safe; a pirate group could attempt their luck and do a raiding run), yellow means quite likely, red means very likely.

And seeing that there is no further discussion being made here and I have developed enough about mechanics, votes are closing tonight and expect an update soon.

Why the heck is patrol winning? How the hell is that going to help us generate more money beyond the immediate paycheck?

[X] Robotics Instruction Classes

People actually voted for patrol? :???: That's for when we're in a "need cash nao" mode, which we're decidedly not. This is time to get some kind of infrastructure going to help.

We should totally recruit Star Wolf (Wolf, Leon, and Panther), and the other members of Star Fox (Falco, Peppy, Slippy, Krystal).

I can't possibly imagine anything going wrong with this! Oh and maybe we can get Katt on board...

I... don't think Fox is quite the type, but who knows where the quest will take us.

He is less "Hard soldiers making hard choices" and more "borderline children's action hero"

[X] Robotics Instruction Classes:
A local robotics business is offering classes on robotics assembly, maintenance, and usage in return for some labor. Students will learn the basics of robots, from assembly to use of mining and combat robots, all while working on the factory floor!
Payment: 200 LD, A choice of a Basic Robot Miner or Basic Robot Fighter, unlocks additional choices for robotic space-craft.

Happy Face Robotics Labs was the name of the robotics company you signed up for work and classes, under a pseudonym of course. You do not wish to rouse up a ruckus just because you are famous. It will be quite embarrassing and disruptive to yourself and everyone else around you.

You were also, at first, a bit confused on why would a robotics company offer people a perfectly good robot drone, for free, after only two days of work and classes, on top of the possible education and the money you would receive. The bot would sell for at least 600 Lylat Dollars, the payment was 200, and the education would be about 100 based on market rates for tutoring and classes in a local education space station. That would be 900 Lylat Dollars per person. That would be quite pricey for any company, especially for a local, no-name brand. And to think that they place the advertisement in a public "help wanted" board. You could only wonder what could be the reason why...

...

You quickly found out the reason why after the whole two day "class". The whole "class", in your mind, is no more than a glorified advertising session! It is a session where they talk about their products in detail and encourage everyone in attendance to think of them when buying their first fighter drone fleet! Sure, they talk about how to maintain a whole drone fleet, from routine maintenance to general fact (like, for example, how the maximum number of drones that can be sent out into space on a side is limited by the mother-ship's drone bandwidth divided by what is commonly known as the drone's leadership value), but they all do it in the context of their own products! It is a, admittingly-clever, ploy to get people into buying their product!

As for the work side of things, it was not much better. Beside the fact that the work is mind-numbing dull factory work, the entire work floor is painted in very tacky pastel colors and you all were made to wear uniforms colored the same tacky colors. The factory work was humiliating enough but you expected that at least. It was on the job description when you signed up. But, the pastel colored wall and uniforms just add insult to the whole thing. Which is the reason why they are having trouble retaining workers. The class sessions and the free drone were just incentives to get more people on board with the business and stick around in spite of the uniforms and the obnoxious colors...

And it seems that they do not have much luck this time around too in terms of accomplishing their goals, for everyone has the same thing in mind when you talked with them during the lunch breaks...

"What a cotton-candied nightmare! As soon as I get my bot, I'm out!"

"My son wants a bot for his upcoming birthday. I was prepared to do factory work to get that bot, but this is just..."

"Really, I'm here for that bot and nothing else. I need an extra buddy when I start my mercenary days. By the way, you do look a lot like Fox McCloud. You know that, right?"

You sympathize with all of them. Who would want to work in this mess? No sooner than those two days were up, they were passing out feedback forms in an effort to improve the class and work sessions they tend to have. A soon as you gotten your blink form, you wrote down the comment that they need to rethink their interior decorating and uniform colors. You recommend just a plain white walls and navy blue uniforms, or of they are sincere in the whole unique look, maybe sky blue at the most.

Soon after submitting the form, you obtained the box with your brand new robot drone and started to head on back to the Great Fox. You also gotten your payment and you were allowed to keep the uniform, but the chances are that you'll burn it at the first possible opportunity.

By the way, what kind of drone you have picked out?

Happy Choosing! The hiring/buying phase of this turn will start after you make your decision!

It will also give me more time to develop more materials and informational posts, especially one that I will think will be very important coming up.
