Space Ninja Summer Camp ( Warframe/Worm )

So I just marathoned this story today @Sleethr and as I'm crazy noticed a few typos and errors. Spoilered off for space since it covers all the chapters I read today. Anyway thanks for the awesome story and I look forward to more awesomeness as you continue to write.

I made the fixes. That was a lot, but not as many as I expected. So, thanks!

Speaking of mahjong, I think that alongside an occasional poker night, Taylor's Clan also had a round-robin mahjong group as a loot raffle. Instead of money, the points are for bids on a pool of loot everyone contributes to as an ante.

However the one time they held it on a relay ended in disaster for the clan when Clem took everyone to the cleaners. He may not look like it, but that man is an unrepentant shark at mahjong.

Clem: "Clem! Grakatas!"

Taylor: "Yeah, yeah. Don't rub it in."

Clem: "Clem! Clem!"

Clem: "Clem! Grakatas!"

Taylor: "Yeah, yeah. Don't rub it in."

Clem: "Clem! Clem!"
Lotus forbid he loses a game and his Grakatas.

Taylor: Lemme get this straight, you lost your grakatas in a game with Jack Slash?
Clem: Gratakas!
Taylor: Okay, and why did- no, how did you get into a game with Jack Slash?
Clem: Clem! Gratakas!
Taylor: He challenged you?
Clem: Clem!
Taylor: *pinches nose with frustration* And now you want me to recover them, from Jack Slash?
Clem: Gratakas!
Taylor: Of course you do...
Clem: Gratakas!
Taylor: Fine!

CNN-Bet: Newsflash: S9 killed today by parahuman and possible Case 53 victim known as Clem. When asked for a statement, Clem was quoted as saying, "Clem! Gratakas!" PRT Thinkers are mystified by the fact that everyone listening to the live broadcast somehow understood him as saying, "Jack Slash cheated in a game of mahjong with Clem. Jack Slash took Clem's gratakas. Clem asked for help from Tenno. Jack Slash dead."

Reunion 8.0 (Part I)
This one is a bit shorter than I planned, but I've been a bit busy this week and I did not get as far as I planned either. I wanted to wrap up the "reunion" arc in this chapter, but in the interest of giving you all something; I decided to post the first half of the chapter. Next chapter will probably be part two and then, the next arc should start after all the mushy stuff is out of the way.

I did not consult with my involuntary volunteer for this one. So, if it's bad, blame me. I mean, more than you normally would. :)

Thank you all for reading and commenting. Your ideas have been very helpful.

Reunion 8.0

<Taylor>

It was just after 7am when we arrived back in Brockton Bay and the sun was rising, shining its glorious light directly into the docks where I planned on landing. The Void cloak on the lander seemed to be working because the Protectorate Oil Rig, its shimmering forcefield acting as a shining beacon of power, did not respond as we cautiously made our way past it and into the dock area.

"Over there, that warehouse is empty and it looks like this thing will fit inside." My dad pointed to a large structure in dubious repair with it's hanger style doors wide open.

Well, one door was open, the other had fallen down. "Seems a little run down…"

Dad shook his head with agreement, "Yep, but this entire area will be torn down and rebuilt in the spring."

Ordis silently made his way through the doors and into the warehouse. Except for a few moldy pallets in the far corner, it was very empty. Ordis rotated his ship body around, facing the open door and lowered the rear landing ramp for my dad and I to disembark.

"Hold on." I motioned to my dad, "I need to change back to Ivara. Wouldn't want to confuse the PRT." I giggled with amusement because I actually wanted to see their reaction when I switched to Mirage or even better, Nezha or Rhino!

For weapons, I elected to switch back to my Dread bow, but switched out my throwing stars for something with a little more punch, my Akbolto Prime twin bolt launchers. For my melee option, I selected the Glaive Prime due to its ranged throw and charged explosion option. Plus, the glaive just looked cool.

It was also Christmas Eve and I needed gifts to bear. Thinking about gifts made me a little sad because this would be the first Christmas in a little over ten years that I would miss celebrating with my Tenno siblings. I say ten years because it took me a few years to get comfortable as a Tenno, but wow, my siblings really glommed onto the idea and went all out when I explained how Christmas and Santa Claus worked. However; this would be the first Christmas with my dad in fifteen years. I needed to get him something better than the tie I got for him last Christmas, well, two years ago.

"Hmmm…" I paged through the options. My first idea was to give the kids a basic melee weapon for self-defense, like a MK-1 Furax fist weapon, but those were kind of big.

"How old are Becky's children?" I asked my dad.

"Charles is ten and Cynthia, not Cindy is twelve, why?" Dad asked, suddenly wary.

"Oh, trying to come up with a gift for them." I absently muttered as I reopened my inventory system.

"You don't need to worry about that." Dad hastily replied.

"No, no, it's fine…" I waved away his misplaced concern. He had to know I wouldn't give an untrained child something like a Braton assault rifle or a Galatine broadsword. Hell, at their age, they probably wouldn't even be able to lift those weapons.

I put a lot of thought in what to give everyone, but it was the last item on my mission checklist that gave me the most trouble. I needed to visit my mom's grave and I wanted to leave her some flowers, or something pretty. Except, flowers would quickly wilt and get thrown away. I wanted something a little more permanent.

Oh, I had just the thing! A Tadit Planter with its hover module and holographic, emerald colored flame that danced up the representation of an ice covered tree. The power source would last over a hundred years, probably longer. I was a little worried about someone trying to take it, but once I placed it, only I could move it. I guess someone would eventually destroy it because this was Earth Bet and we couldn't have anything nice here, but if someone tried messing with it while I was still around; I'd have some words with them.

"All done!" I said stepping away from my Arsenal after adding to my inventory what I felt would be the perfect gifts for my friends and family.

"What did you do?" Dad asked, glancing around as if I might be trying to hide the gifts behind my back.

"Nu-thinngg…" I teased him because why would he expect me to reveal the gifts before Christmas morning? I mean, he and mom always enjoyed taunting me with my gifts by making me wait.

"Taaaylor…" My dad did not sound happy.

"Don't worry, it's safe. Mostly…" I mean a shield osprey was pretty safe since it didn't have any offensive weapons, but they were made of metal. Oh well, I'm sure the kids would know better than to try hugging one and I'd be responsible and warn them about trying to ride one without a helmet.

"Why does that make me worried?" He rhetorically asked.

"No idea?" I shrugged my shoulders and motioned for him to follow me down the ramp.

Once we were both on terra firma, I turned to my dad. "Do you think it would be safe for Ordis to keep the lander in here or should he hide it in one of the wrecks again?"

Dad glanced back to the mostly invisible lander hovering a meter off the ground. "Umm, hard to say. There will probably be some trespassers, and there may even be some workers trying to get overtime today or tomorrow."

"Good point." I nodded with agreement.

"Ordis, cloak up and hide where ever it was that you were earlier." I spoke out loud, knowing that he could hear me.

{"Ordis understands. Ordis will hide the lander in the detritus of a decaying civilization. Please don't forget Ordis..."} Ordis pathetically lamented his fate, implying that I was discarding him.

I sighed with resignation, "You know that you may eventually have to hide under water, right?"

{"Ordis is --can we leave now!?-- sorry."}

I could only shake my head and once again contemplate my fate. "Ordis, just stay out of trouble, please. If you're lonely, talk to Cephalon Dragon or get some intel on the PRT because I don't expect them to like me. Oh yeah, find me some more bounties and see what you can dig up on the Endbringers. Also, I probably don't even need to mention it, but alert me if you happen to intercept someone planning to attack me."

{"Yes Operator. You can count on Ordis!"} He sounded happy with a little bit of direction.

I briefly considered warning him about being caught hacking into government servers, but as he had already proven himself, if his methods got me the intel I needed, who was I to complain?

We waited until Ordis and the lander were out of the warehouse before we exited the building. I was more worried about it falling down on top of us than anything else. Just in case there were people watching, I stealthed and followed my dad to his car.

He looked a little perplexed when I asked him to open the trunk, but he quickly caught on when I climbed inside and deactivated the stealth. A second later, I activated Transference and my body was standing beside him, looking down at my warframe.

Dad turned to me and after shrugging his shoulders, he closed the trunk, hiding my warframe from view. "I guess that will work…" He glanced over to me and paused, "We need to find you some clothes because that," his eyes traveled up and down my suit, "does not blend in."

"What, this old thing?" I smirked, "Where I come from, everyone is wearing them and I'm positive they'll be popular here once people see how stylish I look."

Dad chuckled, "Yeah, but you look like a space girl and with your other," He pointed to my face, "features, you will stand out."

He did have a point, but I wasn't sure how I might handle the wardrobe issues. I was sort of a 'ghost' here. I could make some changes to my general appearance using my Somatic Link controls. The options where there, but I had never seen the need to change how I looked. My siblings on the other hand, some of them liked to look different every time they used Transference. I decided right then and there that I'd grab an entire stack of fashion magazines just to see the fight over who got to read them first.

I made a few minor adjustments to my virtual self, hiding my implants and removing the Void glow from my eyes. The clothes, I couldn't do anything about until after I had some items to scan.

In the early morning daylight, my old hometown had a very different appearance; it looked worse with the sun shining its rays into the dark corners that previously hid the signs of decay.

"When did that place burn down?" I asked, my eyes tracking a burned out store front as we drove past. I think the place used to be a clothing or shoe store that Mom liked to stop at.

"Uhh, a year ago?" Dad absently replied, after a quick glance to his right.

"Wasn't that the store Mom used to visit?" I asked to confirm my hazy memory.

He hesitantly nodded, as if trying to remember what it once was. "Yes, it was."

"Why didn't they rebuild it?"

Dad's lips pursed with anger. "No insurance and the owner's husband was killed by the Merchants when he tried to make them leave."

"Did they ever catch them?" I asked, knowing that in Brockton Bay, the answer was probably no.

Dad sighed, "No…"

"Okay," I glanced back out the window, noticing that the condition of the buildings we passed were starting to get better.

"Where are we going?" I asked, assuming that we were heading to his girlfriend's house since his apartment was in the other direction.

"Becky's" Dad answered, his hands tightening on the wheel, his eyes anxiously glancing over to me.

I was right. "Ahh, sounds good to me. I wanna meet her." I said with a smile. "Have you asked her to marry you yet?"

"Taylor!" The car screeched to a halt and we almost ran a stop sign. Luckily, there was no traffic because the car stopped almost a full car length past the sign.

He turned to look at me, a mixture of fear and anger in his eyes. "You did that on purpose!" He muttered angrily.

"Wasn't really paying attention, but have you?" I asked, genuinely curious because if she made him happy, who was I to complain? I was glad he was still alive and as a side benefit, I'd gain another brother and sister to spoil and train. Well, if I could talk my dad into coming back to the Origin System with me.

Dad took a deep, cleansing breath and glanced around. There was only one other car on the road and it was coming toward the intersection from the left. He continued through the intersection and pulled over just past it. After putting the car in park, he turned to me with a sigh, "No, I have not, but I was planning to do so this New Years Eve."

Without explaining, he reached past me, to the glove box. Opening it, there was a small jewelry box tucked near the back, behind the well used owner's manual and a wad of napkins, left over from one of our family trips. His fingers nervously fumbled with the box as he pulled it out. "I, umm, got this for her." He said, opening the box and revealing the ring inside.

The stone was smaller than my mom's, but the ring was still pretty. "What's it made out of?"

"It's a silver engagement ring with a 0.75 carat princess cut diamond." Dad sheepishly grinned, "Well, that's what the jeweler told me anyways."

Silver? I know times were hard, but silver and a diamond!? A little platinum for the band and a beautiful, light purple heart nyth for the stone, I could make it better. I had the technology! "Umm, do you mind if I scan it?"

"No?" He hesitantly agreed.

A quick scan and I had the ring's size stored. Next, I contacted Ordis, {"Just scanned Becky's engagement ring. Can you fire up the foundry and make one out of platinum and a heart nyth stone?"}

{"Operator, Ordis is confused by this waste of resources."}

{"It's an Earth custom. Don't worry. Just see what you can do. Oh yeah, add something pretty on the outside of the band. Maybe some etched vines?"} I realized that I was probably expecting more from Ordis than he was capable of creating. What did the glitchy Cephalon know about making something 'pretty'? {"Show me what you come up with before starting the project."}

{"Ordis exists to aid the Operator, even when the Operator is crazy…"}

I turned my attention back to my dad, "Okay, got it!"

"What are you planning?" He narrowed his eyes with suspicion.

"Don't worry Dad. Just making a new ring, maybe a better ring, but if you don't like it; you don't need to use it." I tried to reassure him.

"Uhh, why?" He asked.

"Mom's ring was white gold. I know times are tough, but silver? And the stone is pretty, but it's too small. I have some extra platinum and a stone that I think will look absolutely stunning. Ordis is going to send me some designs when he gets the chance. We can review them together?" I hesitantly asked, holding out a virtual olive branch since I could see the idea made Dad uncomfortable.

"Uh huh," He sceptically nodded, "and how long is this going to take?"

"Oh," I shrugged my shoulders, "once we pick a design, maybe thirty minutes? The forge in my lander isn't full scale, but it should work just fine. If you wanted to give her a proposal that is literally out of this world, we could spend New Years at Mars. How many people can offer that to their bride to be?"

"Uhhh, I don't-" Dad paused, clearly surprised and intrigued by my offer.

"I'll think about it." He relented after a few seconds.

"Great!" I grinned because getting him to see the value of leaving Earth Bet behind was one step closer, but there was one thing I wanted to do before seeing Becky, my potential future step-mom for the first time.

"Umm, Dad?" I hesitantly asked as he started to put the car back into gear.

"Yes?" He turned to me, car in gear, but not moving forward.

"Can we stop by Mom's grave first?" I asked, causing his expression to falter.

"Sure?" He said, not sounding at all sure, but he rallied by taking a deep breath and letting it out with a sigh. "I mean, yes, of course kiddo."

With a flick of the turn signal, we merged back into the very sparse traffic. I think I only saw three other cars in the time we sat on the side of the road. Neither one of us spoke during the ten minute drive to the cemetery.

Driving past the wrought iron gates brought back a lot of painful memories. It didn't rain during her funeral, but with all the black; I remember feeling like it had. The tears streaming down my face during the ceremony as they commited her remains into the earth probably didn't help.

I also remembered Emma standing by my side, her brilliant red hair and the many flowers resting atop my mother's casket were the only signs of life among the drab colors of the mourners. Her support was what got me through the hard times and beyond. I owed her a lot more than I could ever repay.

After Dad put the car in Park, he pulled out his cell phone and turned to me, "You go on ahead. I need to call Becky and let her know."

"Okay," I nodded as I pulled open the passenger side door and made my way to her grave.

I managed to hold back my tears this time around, but I knew I would probably lose it when I was standing next to her grave and tried to speak to her. I felt like I had abandoned her by taking so many years to return. I knew it wasn't my fault and it was wrong for me to feel the way I felt, but I still felt guilty, like I was a bad daughter or let her down somehow.

"Hi Mom, sorry I haven't visited you in a while…" I started to say, but the tears in my eyes caused me to grind to a halt. Seeing her headstone for the first time in fifteen years hit me hard. This was going to be tough, but we had a lot to catch up on.

"A lot has changed since we last spoke." I lost track of time as I told her about my 'adventures' and somewhere in there Dad wrapped his arm around me and pulled me tight, giving me the strength to continue with what I had to say. I didn't give a day by day account, it was more of the general highlights because I didn't want to spend all day here.

I told her about my clan and how much she would've enjoyed meeting them, and teaching them about the classics. I told her about Lan shooting me and that brought a smile to my face because it hurt then, but now, it was funny. I also told her about how I saved a little girl and, how I failed to protect a colony.

Dad wasn't too happy to hear that story, but I could see that it had an impact on him. I think he was beginning to understand what I was now, what a Tenno stood for. Well, it was that or he just felt sorry for me.

I ended my story by telling her how, with the help of my clan, I got back to Earth Bet and feeling a lot better about getting all that off my chest, I decided to tell her about Dad's girlfriend. "...and Dad has a girlfriend and he plans to marry her."

"Taylor!" Dad yelped, causing me to giggle as he glanced nervously around as if he expected Mom's angry ghost to attack him.

"Hehe, relax Dad. I'm sure she understands and didn't expect you to live out the rest of your days alone." I turned to him and gave him a hug, letting him know I loved him.

He reluctantly nodded his head in agreement, "Maybe, but I should've been the one to tell her."

"And how long would that have taken, hmmm?" I asked, knowing that with my dad, that might be never. He sort of sucked at expressing his feelings, and he tended to bottle things up.

"Uhhh…" His eyes guiltily darted from side to side.

"Yeah," I nodded, "well, it's done now. I just have a decoration to place and we can go." I said as I extracted the planter from inventory. "Why don't you talk to her while I set this in place."

"What is that?!" My dad's eyes widened with shock at the sight of the half meter floating tree with fire dancing around it.

"Umm, just a little something." I glanced over to it hovering just above my mom's headstone and shrugged, "It should last for a hundred years or more."

Dad pointed at it. "Taylor, it's on fire."

I shook my head, "It just looks like fire." I said, motioning for him to come closer, "Here, touch it. It's perfectly safe."

He hesitantly reach out and flinched once, before slowly bringing his hand back into contact with the holographic flames. "Huh, that's, umm, kind of cool and I'm sure that she would love it…" He glanced over to me and closed his eyes and grimaced for a second, "but, you can't leave it here."

"What?" I flinched, "Why?"

"Because it would attract attention, unwanted attention and I could see the PRT going crazy, maybe even destroying her gravesite when they attempted to remove it."

"I'd like to seem them try!" I glanced over my shoulder and glared in the general direction of the Protectorate Rig hiding in the harbor.

Dad sighed, "Taylor, do you really want to fight a battle over your Mom's grave? Do you want a battlefield to be your last memory of this?" He gestured toward her gravestone.

He had a point, but it still made me angry. I wanted to leave something lasting in her memory, something beautiful to show the world how much she was loved, still loved. Earth Bet sucked and now, I couldn't wait until my way home was finished. "Grrr, fine. I'll put it up before I leave!" I said as I put her 'flowers' back into inventory.

"Taylor…" Dad tiredly sighed, "I really don't want you to leave."

"Yeah?" I turned my still angry gaze his way, "Well, other than you and Emma, what's here worth staying for? Earth Bet sucks! Nothing has changed and it's only gotten worse since I was taken! Seriously Dad, why in the fu-hell should I stay? Why should you stay?" I said, pointing accusingly at his chest.

"I can't." Dad sighed.

"Why?"

"People, my men, the Dockworkers Union needs me. I can help them. Work is starting in just a couple of months. With the harbor clear, we can start to make the Bay a better place, a place where people can raise their families again."

"The Bay? Dad, the World. What in the hell can you do about the World?!?" I asked, feeling incredibly frustrated by him.

He sighed, "I can't, but it can start here."

"Dad! Hello? Endbringers? Do you have a plan to stop them because I sure in the hell don't!" I paused, angry at his stubbornness and feeling powerless to do anything. Eidolon, Alexandria, Legend and before Hero was killed by Siberon, the strongest and most powerful capes on the planet couldn't kill one and they still hadn't. The U.S. Military, at the height of its power couldn't even scratch them. What in the hell could anyone do?

I was a Tenno though. I know that I wasn't planning on staying. My mission objectives were clear, but like they say, "No plan survives contact with the enemy". I never expected to find my father alive, but he was alive and my dad was pretty damn stubborn. With Brockton Bay in its current state, he has to be; It's his job.

To protect him, I could just do what the Grineer did to me and kidnap him, not give him the choice, but I know he wouldn't appreciate me doing that to him. Was kidnapping Emma, Uncle Alan, Aunt Zoe and now Becky and her children the right thing to do? I didn't think so.

When on death ground, fight!

Could I really just leave Earth Bet with its billions of people to die and still consider myself a Tenno? What would my clan say if I did? Would they be disappointed in me? Yes, I think they would be. It wasn't in my DNA, my father's DNA or the Tenno DNA to run from a fight.

"Ordis, when is the next Endbringer scheduled to make an appearance?" I asked out loud, letting my dad hear me.

Scheduled.

That was a big fat clue right there. How in the hell had no one figured out that they were being controlled by someone? They worked together with each one attacking a major city once per year, almost like clockwork.

"Taylor, what are you doing?" My dad asked, suddenly concerned.

{"Operator, the next Endbringer attack is expected to be sometime in late February and is highly likely to be Simurgh."}

"I see, Simurgh, February." I held up my hand to Dad, gesturing for him to stop. "Okay, I need you to work with Cephalon Dragon. Find any combat footage you can. Find their weaknesses and find who made them or who could have made them or who is controlling them. Get into any system you need to, but find me something and I don't care how many people get pissed at you. Just don't let 'em find you."

{"Operator, are you sure?"} Ordis softly asked, his concern showing through with no hint of a glitch.

I glanced over to my dad. If he wasn't willing to leave, then neither was I. "Yes, Ordis, I'm sure. I wouldn't be my father's daughter or a Tenno if I ran from a fight, now would I?"

{"Ordis is interfacing with Cephalon Dragon..."}

Dunno why, but the way he said it made me giggle. I know he didn't mean anything sexual, but he was a boy Cephalon and Dragon was a...oh never mind.

I controlled my inappropriate reaction and managed to reply in a dignified manner. "Thanks Ordis, lemme know when you have something."

{"Of course Operator. Cephalon Dragon is most interested in this line of research."}

"Taylor?" Dad asked.

I looked him right in the eyes and pointed my finger at him, just like Mom would've. "Well Dad, it's like this. If you're too stubborn to leave, then I'm too stubborn to leave and if I have to stay, then the Endbringers have to go. It's as simple as that."

Dad coughed and stumbled back a step with a look of shock on his face. "Uhh, it's not that simple. I can't let you do that."

I crossed my arms and glared at him. "Mhmm?"

"I mean, you're just one girl, my girl. You're all I have left and I don't think I could handle losing you again." My dad pleaded with me.

I shook my head, "That's not true Dad. You have Becky. You have Uncle Alan, Aunt Zoe, Kurt and Lacey and all the Dockworkers. You have me and unless you change your mind and decide to come back with me and to keep you safe, I have to save the world. No problem!" I laughed because when I actually put thoughts to words, it somehow seemed easier.

Dad stared at me with a fond and resigned look in his eyes, "Yep, you're your mother's daughter all right."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked suspiciously, expecting him to try saying something about how my mom would've listened to him when I know she wouldn't have.

"It means that just like your Mom, you're as obstinate as you are beautiful. When you set your mind on something, you're also just as stubborn and determined as she ever was. It's one of the main reasons I loved her." He said, glancing down to her gravestone, "and still do."

"Uhh, if this is your way of trying to talk me out of it; it ain't gonna work." I said, warning him because his line of attack made it sound like he was already coming to terms with my plan. Why he couldn't agree to just leave Earth Bet and come back with me in the first place, I had no idea.

He chuckled mirthlessly and held up his hands signaling defeat, "Nope, wouldn't dream of it kiddo."

"Well," I huffed, feeling like he was making fun of me or planning to try talking me out of it. "Fine, but since you reminded me of my responsibilities as a Tenno, don't expect me to run from this fight."

"Nope, but don't think I won't give you advice now and then. You better not try making all your plans in secret. I want to be kept in the loop. I might not be a superhero, but I do know a few things." His eyes narrowed with determination, giving me a slight nod before glancing back toward the car. "Well kiddo, think it's time?" He asked.

"Yeah," I sighed, glancing back to Mom's grave. I really wished I could leave the planter like I had planned, but Dad was right. Someone would just ruin it and then, people would get upset when I tracked down and killed who ever did it.

"Love you Mom," I said, resting my hand on the top of her marker, "I'll try and visit again next month or sooner, and I'll make sure to let you know when I bag my first Endbringer."

I know that I wasn't really standing on Earth and that ghosts aren't real, but I swear to Lotus that I felt someone's hand touch the top of my hand. The sensation lasted less than a second, but the warmth of another person's touch lingered.

"Bye Mom, see you again soon." I softly whispered as I walked, hand in hand, with my dad to the car.

Edit1: Enhanced Taylor's justification for staying, I hope.

I love how consistent the updates are with this. I hope we see more.

Also, I feel like Becky may have a cape persona. I dont see a normal taking in Taylor so well unless Shard Shenanigans happen.

I had originally considered shipping him with a cape. Miss Militia was the leading candidate because, well, she's the most popular ship. I even had the crazy idea of him and Piggot, but in the end, I decided to just go with a normal woman. Not a cape, sorry.

I'm kind of surprised Taylor thinks ghosts aren't real. Between Nekros and the ghosts you can sometimes find wandering the Void Towers I'd say it was objective fact to the Tenno.

I guess Taylor doesn't have a Nekros.

Nekros doesn't make ghosts, it just uses defeated enemies as templates for void hax generated temporary minions that attack enemies automatically.

Those aren't ghosts, they're just low-quality holos made by half-functioning emitters

All of that involves Void shenanigans. Nekros' shadows can't really be seen as ghosts, and as far as I remember the only beings able to call upon ghostly projections with enough sense of self are the Tenno. Even the "Orikin ghosts" are basically just recordings, Void energy tracing shapes and actions from millennia ago.

I'm actually referring to him punching enemies in the soul. If it can be punched, it exists!

I'm not talking about the holograms, I'm talking about the free roaming specters.

Obviously the void is still involved but they're still ghosts of some description.

That's what people who believe in ghosts think ghosts are, just replace the word "Void" with "Ectoplasm". Void matter even looks like ectoplasm!

That's what people who believe in ghosts think ghosts are, just replace the word "Void" with "Ectoplasm". Void matter even looks like ectoplasm!
The Soul Punch attack and its augments do make the question of souls, at least, something worth considering.

*disgusted shiver* Glaives... They named the chakram after a medieval polearm... Always hated that...

I find it hard to swallow that Danny would take Taylor taking on the Endbringers in so blasé manner. I think he'd be way more into trying to stop her from doing crazy things. At this point, I guess it can be still later on retconned into him not quite believing her or not being able to quite process everything yet. But it does come across as really strange that just he's like "yes, sure, save the world, fight the endbringers. That's just so much like your mother."

This has been a fun read but I think this:
"Sleep, it's one of my Warframe's abilities. I made sure everyone in the house stayed asleep, but it doesn't last that long." Taylor casually explained, like using a master power to put an entire house to sleep was an everyday thing.
would be a shaker ability rather than a master one. Shakers have area effect like a sleep aura. Master classification is for those with control of minions. Though this is a mental effect, when looking at Taylor as a threat, it would be seen as a means of her controlling the battlefield rather than a way for her to use minions to attack. Even in terms of human affecting masters, it lacks the control to be seen as different from any other one hit KO attack.

I do love how good a job you do at showing how affected Taylor is by her 15 years in space while still keeping her, her. This is a surprisingly heart warming story.
