Space Ninja Summer Camp ( Warframe/Worm )

Not quite what I was asking. Would the help her or not? Try to rescue her from what Jack Slash has done.

Ahh... Hmmm... if they are aware of it? I give it even odds depending on which Tenno is given the chance, referring to those we've 'met' in this story. If there's a Nyx user among them, the odds would go up, easier to un-mindfuck someone with the psychic frame than other options.

Tenno from the game would absolutely try and help Riley if they learn about her story, but they'd not hold back on putting 'Bonesaw' down so they could GET to Riley under it all.

Tenno here are much more fatalistic, but still child soldiers at the core.

*Tenno finds out about the bounties on the S9; stampede of Tenno trying to collect them before anyone else*

*After the mayhem is over, the various backstories come to light*

"Well shit. This shit is FUBAR."

"Yeah, but look at your cash balance."

"True."

Because honestly, if 99.99% of the Tenno heard "millions of local currency" before hearing the backstories that no one except the S9 know, and a straight up just kill them bounty to boot?

The S9 would be dead before anyone knew.

Don't even really need a Nyx. Any Tenno who is aware if the truth of their situation can pull of the same memory dive trick via Transference. All it would take is for a single Tenno to be curious enough to justify a Transference, and there you go.
They'd avoid transferring into a Parahuman most likely given how attached Shards are, but that depends on how the author considers the interaction of Shard anchors with the Mindscape that Transferrence occurs on.

Honestly, while there is a mental component, Transference into truly sapient being is probably as much about touching the soul as it is about touching the mind, so to a Shard connection, a Tenno hijacking someone via Transference is probably a whole lot of gibberish data.

sure sure, but there's also the fact that I'm pretty sure Tenno can't just Transferrence into anything. Probably need specialized orokin recievers and tech, which the frames would have by design, to take them in. Never see Tenno Transferring to anything not orokin made/modified. At least not yet.

An Archemedian used transference on a grove of trees, you can transference into whatever

A grove of tree's she specifically cultivated at the genetic level from the ground up to reforest the earth, and her transference was one way. That's still an Orokin made 'thing'. BUT, you are right, that it does raise a point on how Transference doesn't HAVE to target a flat out mechanical component.

Hmmm.. curious and curious. regardless of our speculations though, it really would come down to how the author decides to interpret Shard connections on the mind when it comes to transference, no matter whether a human is a viable target or not. Cart before the Horse and all that.

EDIT: One of scenario I just envisioned that I'd like to see, a Trident bearing Hydroid dueling/sparring against Armsmaster.

Curse you necromancers for reviving this thread and my interest in this story!

Actually, I've enjoyed re-reading quite a bit. @Sleethr wherever you are, you did a great job with this story. Thanks!

With Warframe: 1999 on the near horizon, I'm stoked to see if this story will be revived with the new stuff on the way. It'll be funny if we get a scene with Taynno just hating boybands, because as we know, the Infestation can take over robots, spaceships, and worst of all, celebrities and idol groups.

Canon Earth Bet is basically Warframe without the fancy suits.

They got the cut rate powers: no customization ability, no skins, and no switching powers to the best option for the job.

Oh God.

I'm imagining Earth Bet as an Elite Deep Archimedia mission, with these parameters:

Personal Modifiers:
  • Powerless (ability usage restriction)
  • Untreatable (no HP regen/healing via health orbs, but can still get healing via abilities)
  • Transference Distortion (no Kiddo Mode for you)
  • Energy Exhaustion (beware the tides of Murmur...)
Your choice of mission type/s, with their Deviation/s and Risk Variables.

And to make things worse more fun? Imagine the Tenno in question having NO PRIME FRAMES (I know someone who doesn't have any prime frame, just a few farmed prime weapons...)

As usual, Hyldrin would barely feel the restrictions

That's an S class frame, this mission is restricted to B or A frames, with no Prime weapons.
Weird how you didn't mention that restriction when you first posed this little prompt, but okay. The only modifiers that are actually annoying here are 'no transference' and 'no abilities until 50 kills'. And we only need to 34 research points for the rewards that matter, because who gives a shit about 50 vosphor. So either one of the loadout options can be ignored or one of the personal modifiers can be. Also, specters/on-call are available.

Easy shit, Yareli with Loyal Merulina augment holding a Laetum, we're done here. Or literally just Kullervo with a tube of cardboard would solo this thing. However you do it, just get 50 kills and start tearing motherfuckers in half.
