Souls of Beyond, Returned to Protect (Kantai Collection) (Still Open to Submission)

Character Sheet (USS Cypher) (Out)
So I made this for just in case I have time in my schedule I'll know in a few days for that but without further ado the sheet

Name: Cypher Stearns
Ship Class: St.Louis class light cruiser
Ship Name: USS Cypher (CL-68)
Companion:
  • USS Alamo (BB-49)
  • One fairy-operated Hughes H-4 Hercules flying boat

Has multitudes of scars on her torso normally hidden by her outfit
Personality: Quiet and pessimistic Cypher prefers to fade into the background while still staying close to people, is very protective of those that manage to be considered friends or family

Quirks: Has a need to have a lit cigarette on hand when stressed, nervous or in combat, cannot stand or sit still for any length of time unless in a serious situation, always has a frown upon her face no matter her mood with though she has a peaceful smile once in a blue moon, has a Southern accent that comes and goes based on stress
Has a great sense of pride in her scars seeing them as proof of how far she was willing to go to protect her charges

Bio: Just an average college student trying to determine what he wanted to do in life, Cypher was rather bemused on learning he had died without a hint as to how alongside being told he would be the soul of a ship oh and that he was now female that was a thing

History: USS Cypher was the third ship of the St. Louis class light cruisers
  • Ordered at the last minute, Cypher's construction was delayed by a year allowing for minor improvements to be made such as faster-firing and heavier-barreled guns.
  • Mostly handled escort duty, both for capital ships and for convoys, especially at night.
  • When not on escort duty Cypher was usually used for patrols, again, especially at night.
  • Earned the moniker "Guardian Angel" after her assistance in defending Pearl Harbour alongside the USS St Louis.
  • During the kamikaze attacks, no ship needed to withdraw while under her watch. They may have taken a hit or two, but they could still go on, repaired and ready.
  • Served in the Korean war as an escort
  • Immediately after the Korean war was turned into a museum ship stationed in Houston, those who visited would report of seeing an apparition of a female with wolf ears following them especially those related to crew members who served aboard the ship

Character Sheet (USS Princeton) (Out)
Name: Anne Mitchel
Ship Class: Independence-class light Aircraft carrier
Ship Name USS Princeton (CVL-23)
Companion: USS Red Castle

Personality: Very patriotic, likely from the class name. Friendly and easy going. Very noble, often described as like a prince. Protrudes confidence, but deals with poor self confidence. Never got over her dislike of the Japanese ships.

Quirks: Afraid to ask for help. Is split between wanting to be a cruiser or a full aircraft carrier, which changes with the day. Loves tea, claims to hate anything British. Despite being a light carrier, she eats like a full sized one.

Bio: Generally an easy going girl, both in her previous life and her current one. She has a strong will to fight and protect her allies and friends, but is not so keen to work with the Japanese, especially their carriers do to what caused her to sink. She likes to show a strong sense of confidence when around others, but inside she has very little self confidence. The cause of this is likely because she was the only ship in her class to have sunk, and to 1 Bomb hit which started the fire that lead to her sinking. As well as the fact significant damage and injuries were caused to the ships attempting to save her from the fire, all for it to fail and her to be scuttled.

History: She was originally laid down as the USS Tallahassee (CL-61), a Cleveland class light cruiser. but was reordered as a light carrier following the attack on pearl. She was the second Independence class, and fourth ship in the navy to hold the name Princeton. Was laid down June 2nd, 1941, and launched October 18th, 1942. Throughout the war Princeton earned 9 battle stars and was active throughout the pacific. She was scuttled September 24th, 1944, after a lone enemy bomber dropped a bomb which hit between her elevators and exploded, which caught her on fire. efforts to save her were futile after many secondary explosions, including one from her bomb magazine which blew off her stern.

Likes: Tea, Cheeseburgers, America, Root Beer, Helping others, Annoying the British

Dislikes: Needing help, Japanese ships, British(supposedly)

It is actually, I was struggling to find I good picture. So I latched onto the first good one i found

Could I please be added to the waitlist? I'd like to join, but I need to straighten some things out IRL before I can.

Among the starting prompts in the IC, which do you think is the scariest or most intense, and why?

Being neglected/discarded, or even stillborn, is terrible though.

Well, lets say they're all equally sad ends then. A long career that ends in fire, tossed aside to never serve and never even being born.

On a softer note I'm wondering if I made the right choice with the Littorio and Scharnhorst classes as companions. Maybe I should've gone with twin Iowas?
