I mean, you could argue that our clan is suited for it too. The Uzumaki got away with it because they generally resilient* (and are known for the seals that are needed) but our clan could be said to be known for managing a malevolent entity in our heads. Uchiha might be able to make the argument that the sharingan is useful for keeping it controlled and the senju might be able to say they're resilient like the Uzumaki.

...And now I'm thinking of a future kid that can pull on the bloodline from several clans to be super-jinchuriki. Uchiha eyes, senju/uzumaki body, kurama beast, other stuff added as needed...

lol, sounds like that would be an interesting way for Orochimaru to go mad science on**
Don't go give me ideas now.

*Which I think fanon uses to say they're descended from the Sage, but I don't remember that being said in canon. Personal head canon is that they used fanon sealing to make an extremely successful eugenics program

**And now I'm thinking about a bad end where Orochimaru uses the bodies of his dead friends to make children who he uses to acquire new bloodlines to create more children so on and so forth until he either is reformed or put out of his misery
Oro may be much more well adjusted then he was in canon, he's still got the genius trait... things might happen because of his curiosity.

Orochimaru is apparently more likely to go spymaster in this, like a canon Jiraya... with little reason to care about appearances. Ironically he'll likely grow up to be the guy who keeps that sort of shit from happening.

I mean it really depends who in our generation gets the Hokage's hat (unless Hiruzen want's to be it until he dies). Our roles will shift based off what the village needs. There's really no notable person to push boundaries in our group outside of him and Tsunade. We're gonna most likely be tied up in the Black Ops of the village, Sakumo is gonna be a leader of some form (maybe even Hokage track), and ... shit, we don't actually know enough about most of our friends to know how they're gonna shake out -- especially since we're gonna have to consider the chance of them dying before we all hit adulthood.

Edit:

In the future, konohamaru is not named as such out of love for the village. No, he is named such because he is the embodiment of all the greatest parts of the village. The claims that he's an artificial abomination of bloodlines are all lies and slander. He's obviously the product of barriers between clans lowering and powerful ninja having powerful children*

*and a lot of ninja science powered by chakra bullshit.

Would you like to know our friends goals now? I'm making dinner right now and I have time.

That actually sounds interesting. Most kids don't have grand goals at a young age (or have unrealistic dreams that they don't actually grow up to really care for). But ninja children are a far cry from normal children so that sounds really interesting.

Our friends dream for the future
Here are our classmates ninja goals:

Tsunade: The same as canon really, she wishes to become the worlds strongest kounochi and medic nin. However her reasoning for being so is different. She wishes to protect her friends as best she can, Scenarios play out in her nightmares about her not being able to do medical ninjutsu, and all of her friends died because of it. However, despite our efforts, she still views us as a friendly rival, and someone she really wants to beat in all areas of being a ninja.

Orochimaru: Due to having a stable bond through the darkest period of his life, he did not get told by the hokage about reincarnation, which pushed him down the path to immortality and... science!. Seeing that there are many secrets being kept from him and his friends (secrets that actually could have saved our lives if we had known about them) he wishes to dig them up and make sure information can be acted upon. He wants to run Konoha spy network, and try to repay the debt he owes to Ayako.

Jiriaya: Due to his writing skills being developed at a much younger age and his journey with the crusaders maturing him out of his clownish attitude, Jiriayas life has been drastically altered. His optimism is there but it has been blunted by life's cruelty's.

His goal is to become a best selling author and prove that ninja are not mindless killing machines without emotions and feelings (Danzo would hate that) and have the exact same problems that everyone else has. But Konoha propoganda corps really want him to join their ranks, and even start a state run newspaper.

Sakumo: Sakumo wants to make his father proud by getting to chunin before he turns twelve and then find a nice girl to marry and have a family. He feels that he needs to get more powerful to earn his father's approval, even though he knows that his father is away all the time on missions to protect the village and that he is proud of him every time he sees him.

As for the family bit, he wishes to have a large enough family to maintain the Hatake clan status, and all the tax breaks and subsidies that affords His family.

Eien: As he is just a clan member with no stake in clan politics, he has a very simple goal, become Konoha's best tracking nin and bounty hunter. So that means he's heading into black ops.

Ashai: Like Eien she wants to head into Black Ops, except she wants to be part of T and I. Mostly because their weirdos who really don't care about a dress code and her dad works there.

Minako: *Spoilers*

Yoshi: He wishes to become the best Taijutsu master in Konoha, a dream shared by Might Dai.

Uchiha Ren: He wishes to make his clan proud, and strong... so the usual Uchiha bluster. However he wants to do it by connecting the clan to Konoha itself, more so then under Tobirama. And that means he's going to need to play politics and become friends with the hokage to make it happen, along with kicking some sense into his clans elders, head and next generation.

He sure has a lot of work cut out for him.

AN: Enjoy.

The Party Part 6: To Save One's Life

You froze, thinking of the words to say to the beast that was now holding your brother hostage. For a moment, the still silent was all that was around you, nothing moved, not even the bamboo.

You then took a deep breath, willing to take the risk. "Kagami… let your mother see you."

Kagami froze, but he did what you asked, his shadowy form solidifying as he entered, allowing your mothers beast to see him without any obstruction.

You stood by him, but tucked into the shadows… shadow.

Your mothers beast stood there, but Kagami was the one who spoke. "Hello, mother." He stated.

The beast just started, unable to comprehend what was happening here. "Baby." She whispered.

The bamboo forest seemed to drop, and only the pool of water remained, allowing the light to shine, and allow Kagami to walk freely. "Yes mother… It's me." He stated, walking forward. With a twitch of his hand, he ordered you to follow him.

You did, shadowing his movements, following him close behind.

Kagami accepted his mother's hand on his shoulder and did not look away from her as she gazed into his eyes. "Baby." The whisper was quiet enough for you to barely hear it.

"We want to talk." Kagami stated as he stepped back. "About your child."

You recognized the pained look in the beast's eyes. She was terrified… no traumatized of what was happening to her again.

You could only imagine the pain she felt the first time her child was taken away from her. But you steeled yourself but stayed behind Kagami.

"You think I will let you-" the beast started to shout, but you stepped forward, fearless of the beast. "Who is this parasite in front of me?"

"My friend… my partner." Kagami said. "We do not wish to fight you… we only wish to save a life. You need to learn to let go."

"You need to learn how to let go of your pain or it will never leave you." You said. For a moment, you felt the gentle tug of Aka in your mind and it gave you an idea.

"In another life, I learned one thing. 'The hardest thing in life to do is let go.'" You stated. Kagami noticed the mention of Aka and he understood what to say.

"Now mother can argue with you all she wants on the specifics of what is real here but you know one thing, Letting go sucks...for everyone. Letting go of something you love is painful and most people can't let go." Kagami stated.

The beast stopped, and just stared, a blank face of confusion adorned her face. Her attention was given fully.

Kagami continued. "But mother and baby are mortal too, and that means one way or another, bonded to a human or not that someday they'll die. It's not a threat,it's just how it is. Denial doesn't make it any less true."

The beast looked at the child in her arms, and then the child in the pool, squirming around.

Kagami did not stop however to let you speak, he was not done yet. "So no matter what happens both mother and baby will live in one way or another. And then they'll die. What matters is what's done with that life. Should the baby just stay next to his mother and never grow up, for however long that lasts? Ultimately it will end, regardless."

He then stepped aside, a tiny shadow now gently tugged you forward. And you knew exactly what to say. " The alternative, let him bond with my brother. Let him grow and truly experience things and life in the world and make it what he will, to affect the people around him, to have friends, goals, and dreams he can fulfill and put his mark on the world."

You paused, letting the words soak in before delivering the one line you knew she would have to react to. "Perhaps even have children of his own someday."

The tears started to flow down the beasts eyes, red tears like lava and water.

"Life is sometimes sad and sometimes hurts. There are partings and separation. But there's also happiness, interesting things to see and do, good things to eat, companionship, and fulfillment. And there are also reunions. This right here isn't goodbye." Kagami stepped forward.

"You'd be letting him go so he can do all those things, but you will see him again, that's a promise. In the meantime he won't be alone, my brother will be his by his side just as Kagami and myself are friends who work together." You stated.

"Also, the baby is Kagami's sibling too, which makes the baby my sibling too in a way. So we'll both look after both of them. I give our word on that too."

There was a pause from the beast.

A Mother's Love for her Child:1D100 => 99+40 (Great Write in)=139

"Okay." The beast stated, slowly handing over the child to Kagami.

Kagami slowly took the baby out of her hands and walked over to the pool where your brother slept and set the beast down next to him.

They both cuddled together, your brother grabbing the beast's hand instinctively.

"We did it." Kagami whispered.

"Yeah… we did."

The world went white.

Things that are beyond your control: 1D100 => 84+10 (Successful beast transfer)+10 (Mito Uzumaki's final fuck you to Kyuubi)=104 vs 1D100 => 38+ 50 (The Kyuubi is very angry)+10 (Poison in Mito's system)=98

Your brother is now Jinchuuriki of the Nine-Tails.

Mito Uzumaki has died.

Shin Kuruma has been born. Congratulations.

Would you like a time skip? (This will push you forward two years, and your skills will develop without your influence to a proper graduating Genin two weeks before graduation with the rest of the crusaders, where you will be granted another memory from Aka. However, if you take this, special events will be missed out on.):
[]Yes: It's time to become a genin!
[]No

AN: Enjoy.
Shin kuruma the jinchuuriki of kuruma.....

Jiraiya, and the hypothetical propaganda division, are going to need to reach outside of the Village System some. Konoha is pretty much handled except on the Clan level, and those are going to be fairly resistant to propaganda just due to how insular they are. They paint their own narratives and you have to handle that in a different way.

But the Villages are tiny islands in a sea of larger games. Daimyo play games of feudalism and mercantilism, pushing borders and forcing deals, while under them regional powers are allowed to act like petty kings all on their own as long as the Daimyo gets his cut. And, hell, they are called Daimyo: That is a title that suggests that they are subordinate to some greater power. That power may have collapsed, a Shogun or Tenno equivalent position becoming either vacant or irrelevant, but it at least suggests that there is a hell of a lot out there that we aren't seeing. Separate layers like oil and water.

So play to that audience. A slight preference for Konoha shinobi over Suna drove Suna into desperation, likely eventual extinction or irrelevancy, in Wind after the Third Shinobi War. Money, patronage, shadowy deals... all of its in the hands of people who barely recognize that shinobi exist. Or which shinobi at best have a vague idea of themselves.

Heh. Sakumo has fairly humble goals. He deserves better than dealing with the 24-hour shit of being a Hokage. A nice idea would be Ren finally achieving the old goal of having an Uchiha wearing the Hokage's hat. We'd just need to make sure he doesn't hyperfocus. If you do that, holy hell do you crack if you go Mangenkyo.

1. The Propaganda division is the newest branch of Konoha intelligence, with its task being to literally make Konoha look like saints compared to the other villages, which isn't that hard considering everyone else save Uzisho and fucking Mist have a worse track record for war crimes and or general dickery to the general civilian population. As for how they make sure they sell stuff, easy... ninja are great reporters, information gatherers and plain old sensationalists when they need to. Think of it as the New York Times under Hearst and the Yellow Journalism of the later half og the 19th and early 20th century.

I even have a perfect name for one of the columns: The Roots of Change, by Danzo Shimura.:V

2: And don't worry, we might be playing that game of thrones nonsense soon enough... if you get the short straw that is.

Politics... ugh, Don't get me started on the Daimyo... I really have a hard enough time trying to keep track of the Ninja village politics and timeline, I don't think i can keep track of all of that unless it pertains to the plot or the mission.

3. Jiriaya is pretty good at pandering to an audience if you know what I mean.

4. Sakumo and his family have some... issues involving finding a suitable wife. Mostly because they prefer people who care for them and their family, then say, glorified baby makers the council throws at them, and the Hokage try to marry them off to. They want a stable family based on trust and love, rather than politics or convenience.

5. Yeah... Good thing Ren has the crusaders to help him out and lean on when he needs it.

How fortunate that sakumo has a childhood friend that definitely wont start crushing on him in a year or so!

If you're referring to Ayako I'd prefer not to butterfly Kakashi out of existence if possible.

But they're 9 and 7, so even crushes are a ways off, anyway.

Jiraiya getting into journalism and propaganda could see him taking a similar but different path as in canon. He could still wind up traveling around, learning things, developing philosophy and all that. But with a more thoughtful and analytical mindset he might actually develop an answer for the 'cycle of hatred' or at least part of it on the way (showing mercy rather than vengeance from a position of strength, common goals, things for ninja to learn and uses for ninjutsu besides war, etc.).

Orochimaru might also go down a similar but different path. His canon self picked up outcasts and strays to be soldiers and for 'Science!'. This one might do the same to make soldiers/spies for Konoha out of them.

Makino's ambition being 'spoilers' is interesting, and ominous.

Hm, random thought. The other students that died were all civilians. We don't know if Dan Kato was among them. But since his younger sister and niece both became ninja they're probably a ninja family. So he's likely fine.

It was going to be Shiro, but then I decided against it because I do not want the memes yet.

The only male Shiro I know is from Voltron. What memes are you referring to? Are you referring to Shirou?

Big difference there.

Politics in the ninja world are weird. Outside of broad stroke stuff though, we don't really need to know that. Far more important is money* since that's what makes the ninja world go 'round.

*and the things you buy with money, but economics are probably distorted around ninja villages. You can't charge a ninja village too much for food even in a time of famine else they decide to just take what they need.

Shiro from Deadman Wonderland. you know that crazy anime where everyone is crazy and the wonderland is a prison?

Yeah, money is really important for our village of murder hobos.

Ah that's why. I assumed dude. Shiro wasn't even the first girl that popped up. I can see the connection now, but I don't think it was a big enough one for the memes to flow. I'd honestly thing Shirou memes would have been more likely.

Well Shirou memes are also something I hope to see... if only because our bro might become the Naruto of his generation... and potentially die horribly.

I'm upset by these baseless lies and slander. The murderers that live in our village are well-paid professionals and are not homeless. :p

Black Zetsu, Madara, and Danzo are priorities 1 through 3 on our kill list. They're the ones that turn things to shit the most and thus the biggest threats to Shiro. We're a long ways from taking them down, but it's good to have goals.

Tell that to the orphans who are employed by the village that don't have homes.

Great to have goals... now remember to keep it to yourself. Danzo is watching.

The orphans (probably) have an orphanage. And they're not actually shinobi of the village until they graduate the academy. At which point they can afford their own place.

Of course. But Danzo is of the 'hard men making hard choices while hard' school of stupid. Dangerous, but predictable.

At this time Danzo hasn't done anything yet. That 1st war should have only ended in the last 3-4 years, and Danzo doesn't really do anything actually harmful until the 3rd war.

first war ended 8 years ago actually. And while Danzo has not done anything detrimental to the village, he's still shady and into all sorts of crazy shit.

Shiro Kuruma
Cute Baby

Name: Shiro Kuruma

Age:0

Rank: Clan member/Adorable Baby

Chakra: ???

Traits:

Jinchuuriki: The Nine-Tails (Kuruma Clan): The Power of Human Sacrifice. That is what you are. Sealed within your body is a monster of chakra. Filled with Hatred, Malice, and malevolence toward humans and all they have built. Your burden is a great, greater than any of your clan has ever held before. But your mind is stronger than other, and the power the Nine-Tails grants you is worth the great risk it gives you. (Chakra limit unknown. Unknown effect on the Beast of your mind. Healing rolls gain an additional +50 to self-healing due to healing factor. Cannot get sick. Can you break the Cycle? ???)

Jutsu known:

None Known

At this time Danzo hasn't done anything yet. That 1st war should have only ended in the last 3-4 years, and Danzo doesn't really do anything actually harmful until the 3rd war.

It was sometime between the 2nd and 3rd war that he collaborated with Hanzo to screw over Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato, right?

first war ended 8 years ago actually. And while Danzo has not done anything detrimental to the village, he's still shady and into all sorts of crazy shit.

Oh yeah, I don't doubt that he's up to something. Multiple somethings. And while a lot of it does benefit the village I'm sure (otherwise Hiruzen probably would have 'retired' him long ago) some of it will ultimately cause more trouble than its worth.

Ayako will show him off (in person or with photographs) to everyone she meets.

'This is my little brother! Isn't he the cutest little thing you ever saw!'
