You guys keep reminding me of Sting, stop reminding me of Sting, good things will not happen if you keep reminding me of Sting.

It will just give me ideas.
Will Cauldron stumble on Eden's Sting and decide that it's useless, like with Eden's GU shard? I think they did the latter in canon.

If the Eden's sting shard ever comes into play, I'll just put it as one of the shards that fell off of Eden when she crash landed through the earth's. If not, then they probably just won't find it, or even give it to Eidolon when he starts losing his powers and needs booster shots.

Here's another idea, Sting on a villian as a breaker power, selectively charging parts of their body, rather than an object (Well, probably their clothing too, unless you want to be lewd). :V

Totally understandable, the existence of Sting on our side combined with meta knowledge solves Endbringers and Zion much more easily than it would be otherwise, which is no fun.

Don't mind me.

Nothing to see here.

I'm just putting this down for.... reasons.

The only problem is, that's not entirely true.

Sting is broken as all hell when it's used correctly, the only problem is that everyone that they're fighting isn't stupid. The second that the Endbringer's feel something actually damaging them permanently, the poor sap that managed that becomes priority numero uno. I know that they didn't insta gib Foil, but she managed a headshot on Leviathan, and that motherfucker played it up to make it look like he got hurt before hitting everyone with a curve ball. Along with that, you'll need to actually hit the Endbringer core to bring them down, which is not easy.

As for Scion, you try to hit him with that, he'll dodge, and then bemu you into the twelfth dimension so fast you can't even think "That gold beam is bullshit!"

Just because you can hurt something, doesn't make it any easier to kill something. I know it would technically be easier, but I don't see it that way. Last I checked, you can't take what they can, and they can dish out what you can with no problem. And at a certain point, it won't matter what you put between you and the big bad.

In fact, I honestly considered having the Sting Shard be an option for character creation, but it would have lead to situations where you think you can handle something and then that doesn't happen. That's not a fun story in my eyes.

And yes, I say that fully remembering what has happened recently, and to that I say I really wished other votes were picked. I honestly didn't expect things to end like this.

Its already plenty lewd.
Look at my post, look at psyfarrows post. Back to mine.
Its not Psyfarrows post, but this is what it could be like if your mind was in the gutter.

"I'll apply my stick to this brute."
"But what about Parian, I thought you were committed."
"Wait, Parian's got a stick I thought she was a lesbian."
"No! Wait. Stop talking!"
"I hope you're buying him dinner first"
"Parian, please. Your stick is very large and impressive but please don't wave it in my face."
"I think the phrase you were looking for is 'Don't apply it to my face'"
"Regent! Imp! I hate you both!"

Interesting to see Sting with a persistent effect, assuming that it can maintain its dimensional attacks it could also be a hell of a defense.
...
Manton having the Eden Sting shard is now my headcanon.

Ah, you misunderstood me, what I meant is that outside of Golden Fuck-You-Beams, and Sting, there isn't many options that would let you actually damage an Endbringer/Entity enough to directly kill them. Especially when most other spacial warping type powers are essentially useless for dealing lethal blows, like Chevalier.

That said, there are still other potential options, it's just that getting a Sting Shard user to fire an attack through a portal at the right time was arguably the most convenient of the bunch.

You triple posted.

Oh, I see, my misunderstanding sorry.

:whistle::whistle::whistle:

You could say our choices were a Shining Example on what we shouldn't do in the future :/

...

I swear, when I made this title, I didn't intend for this. I just wanted to set up something later in the story to have everything go full circle.

It wasn't meant to be used for puns.

... there's no escaping this fate anymore is there?

If it makes you feel any better you can hop over to A Certain JumpChain Quest where z3rogamer is never getting over the fact that he runs the worst Korea of quests (His comparison, not mine) because he voted to show his support for a name.

I'm both interested and horrified and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Didn't Wildow say in a Wog that there was a Sting bud in the the town Flechette who has a power similar to Sting?

Huh. When'd you change your profile picture to Atlas? that's Atlas right?

Actually, better question. Where the hell did you get that picture? Superior Google-fu? Artist friends? Personal artistic talent? Something else?

Thats the reason i never got around to writing Taylor getting Shards of Eldruin after Tyrael was cast down from Heaven in Diablo III. Having a sword that can cut anything in existence is neat and all, but she would get nailed by basically anyone faster than she could blink. Man, why does everything have to have consequences.

Yeah, it's Atlas:
As for everyone else's complaints, I am working on it.

To prove it, I want to say here and now that I want to live up to the title name.

And make this guy,

(Special thanks to @Ronan O'Brien for his work, you're amazing man.)

The kind of guy people look up to. I will be putting my all into this story, because right now, I've never felt the kind of drive to finish this.

I hope you guys can stay here and help me get to that point, so thanks to everyone that has commented, and will comment.

There's a bit of fine print inside the spoiler that might interest you:

I mean, you can always either equalize speed for everyone that's not known specifically for being very fast, or just find a way to give her a second shard that also grants some form of speed.
