"I'm... not sure what you mean," You finally admit. "About her programming. I mean, when you say it like that, it makes it sound like Aigis-san is just a machine, and... I don't think she can be. If she was, she probably wouldn't have a Persona." After all, how can something have a sense of self, if it can't even think on its own?
"I suppose that was a poor choice of words," She agrees. "But, from what you've told me, she was only activated recently. At this point, most of what she knows would be whatever her programmers felt like putting into her. It's certainly possible she'll be able to choose other options eventually, but first she has to realize that these options exist."
Well, she also has to realize she's allowed to take those options. That tends to be a bit more of an issue. Shinjiro-san had the same problem.
You aren't sure you should be getting your hopes up for that. Aigis-san seems less worried about her lack of knowledge about why she is so attached to Makoto-san than working to ensure she is always by his side.
It's actually gotten to the point that Mitsuru-san has given up and is enrolling her in school. At the very least, you don't think she can make much more of a scene than Elizabeth.
"I hope she figures it out soon. It... I'm not sure how well she'll be able to pass for human, but she can at least be less..." You really, really don't think there's a good word for what you want to say. "She could maybe not make a scene."
Not that it matters to you. After all, it won't be your school she's attending.
You're just... hoping that having her and Elizabeth in the same building most of the time won't end in any unnecessary explosions.
May I ask what you consider to be a necessary explosion?
"With how you've told me she acts, that probably just hinges on whether or not she feels like saying anything." You know this. You're perfectly aware of this. There is no reason that you wouldn't be.
It's just that you really, really don't trust any of your friends when it comes to stealth, for some reason.
You weren't there in Inaba. They were not. Subtle. At all. And that was when Aigis-san could actually act like a human being.
You're just going to have to hope that, whatever disaster occurs in the near future, it won't be something that becomes relevant for you to deal with.
While your school doesn't start up again until next week, everyone else is busy by a return to classes- or, in Chidori-san and Aigis-san's cases, having classes to begin with- meaning that they don't have as much time as they did over the summer. You've been preparing to go back to school, as well, since you'll be just a bit busy right before going back.
Having a full moon two nights before classes resume will do that.
You're not going to think about the full moon for now, though. You are going to use this last week of break to relax as best you can, and just hope you won't be too tired when you have to go back to school. That should work just fine... (Pick up to three.)
