It comes to mind, but after telling Kirijo-san about him, you really should talk to Morgana. Just so he doesn't get confused if she ever decides to seek him out, and you're pretty sure he will. The novelty of a time travelling, talking cat isn't really something that can be ignored.
So you find yourself back at the shrine. Thankfully, Morgana's actually here today.
"Did you want something?" The feline asks, stretching himself out lazily.
"Well, I just... there's something we need to talk about."
"Well, don't keep me waiting, then! Go on!" Right, he's not all that patient... not that you're entirely sure how to explain this, but you might as well go ahead.
Just start with the telepathy thing and go from there, that usually works.
"One of the people I'm staying with, Kirijo-san... she has powers that let her read minds." Probably not the best way to bring up the topic, but whatever works. "And... something happened, last week. I had to go with the others into the Shadow nest, and she was scanning things for us, and her powers sort of picked up on me being a time traveler."
This gets his immediate attention. "You- you're like me?" Didn't you already mention this?
"Yeah, I- I thought I told you before." Actually, you distinctly remember talking about it with him. Sort of. "I only really remember a few things, but... it's enough." You're not going to mention the girl this time. You're pretty sure that's the reason that the last conversation went all weird like it did.
"Well, I don't recall anything about you being a time traveler," Morgana points out. "Anyway, you put her off the trail, right?"
Yeah, [about that....
"Um..." You're not really sure why he'd expect you to lie to someone who you live with, and that can be really scary besides. But, then, that can probably be excused by him having never met Kirijo-san. "Actually, I sort of... told her everything?"
"...By everything, do you mean...?"
"Okay, not exactly everything, but she does know you exist, you've travelled through time, and you can talk. I didn't even mention your Persona." You hope that's enough to reassure him, even if the two of you don't really talk about the time travel thing all that much.
He doesn't seem satisfied. "And you're sure you can trust this person?"
She means well, she's just... not good with people.
"I live with her. I sort of have to." Besides the fact that your older self knew her. That she was important, in some way, and you completely understand that, because without her you just know that Sanada-san would have gotten himself killed raiding Tartarus by now. Probably dragging Shinjiro-san with him, because that's what the two of them do. And then you'd be all alone.
"That's not how it works, though!" You're sure that, if Morgana had one of the more reactive elements, his supernatural capabilities would have just revealed themselves. More than they usually do, anyway. "You can't say things like that to just anyone, that's how Crow found us out last time!"
I'm not sure you have that much room to talk, there. If there were others who could understand you...
You're not really sure how to respond to that, because he's never reacted to anything quite this strongly before. "She was already figuring things out on her own, though, it... probably didn't change that much."
"That's not a good thing!" Okay, you should probably leave before you say too much of the wrong thing and cause a sudden windstorm to brew. "Hey, don't ignore me! Get back here!"
Somehow, you don't think you'd handled that as well as you should have. So, when you next go to the library with Maiko and Akira, you look to see if there's any books on how to talk to people.
As this library has a bafflingly-wide selection, of course there are. There's also medical texts, for some reason, but you avoid those. You've got Dia, what other types of healing would you need?
Maybe one that doesn't require consent? Some people will only accept the kinds of healing they can't turn off.
Akira seems sort of surprised by it. "Am I allowed to ask, or...?"
"I made someone upset with me," You explain, deciding to leave out the fact that said person was a cat. "I- I have some idea about what I did wrong, but... I still don't really know for sure, or how to make it better."
"Do you really need a book for that?" Maiko asks. "Maybe if you just say you're sorry..."
"Oohashi-chan, this isn't one of your magical girl animes." And you're honestly not sure how to apologize, either.
Maybe what you really need is a book on cats...
"And that doesn't really work, anyway," Akira adds. "People don't... they don't really forgive, that easily. If at all." Why is it that every time your friend opens his mouth, you end up getting more concerned?
Not that you voice that, instead looking through the pages, and... well, okay, just by looking, you probably needed this thing, if only because you doubt you would have been able to figure out a lot of the stuff here from example. Mostly because your older friends are, for some reason, not the best examples of communication skills.
...Actually, thinking about it, they just might be worse than you are.
That's a scary thought.
Maybe you should fix that?
