In comics the scrapaniks have spend years building a airship so they can leave.

it's likely still there and they are continue building so they can leave.

Also the Voxter were planing to eat organics not robots. it's likely they are safe from the Vortex for the time being since the scrapniks don't exactly are meat.

I don't think the Scrapniks airship will be finished anytime in the near future, they're building it out of scavenged parts and I don't think any of them are really meant for building in the first place.

also, they haven't been building the airship for years, because in the games/idw timeline at most a single year has passed since Sonic 1.

I also don't actually know why the Vortex Queen was attacking everyone, I think I might be confusing her with the other Ocean King who the QM's confirmed wont be showing up, that wanted to destroy humanity for polluting the ocean.

Yeah if they were here they would fight against each other more than the land dwellers
The vortex queen explicitly causes pollution and corruption
So they would be bitter enemies
 
One of those days we've gotta make list of all enemy factions, their kings, their hero units and potential hero units they could have.
 
Also I'm pretty sure us and the other ocean king could probably put aside our differences and work together cause vortex queen pollution is a whole different beast and at least the humans don't really do it intentionally

In IDW they spent years building it and when Tails and Sonic find them they were very close from completing. The IDW comics start in the aftermath of Sonic Forces not from Sonic 1.

As for the Vortx we don't know a lot of their goals but one of them is eat all ocean life in the world.

When all fish run on the sea, and it will make no question of that, they will start to attack the continents. I even written a omake that fish are so desperate to escape from the Vortex that they are leaving their natural habitats for shallow waters and in there point out the fish migration is diminishing.

They are also dangerous because they have time travel technology but since time is all... wonky. It does not work but is does not mean they can do interesting stuff with if even if they can't travel through time.

They are are one of the most dangerous Kings/crises because they whole territory is the oceans of the world, all their infrastructure is in the ocean bed and in under extreme conditition that even Eggman will struggle to get there and likely have to create technology from scratch just to get there as well. Just a example is actually easier to go to space in RL than actually explore the ocean.

The Black Arms thankfully do not have orbital superiority thanks to other space factions but the Vortex enjoy unparal control of the oceans from the world.

Edit: at most the other faction know about the Vortex is sightings of them here and there, that's pretty much it. So they also have complete secrecy as well.

what? dude like I said, the entire sonic series from Sonic 1 to the modern day has happened in at most a year. this is completely cannon. they can't have been working on it for years because none of the scrapniks have existed for more than a year.

You mean Sonic Adventures 1? You may want to make that clear since I was think you were talking about the very first game of Sonic.

Look the point is that when Tails and Sonic find them they were close to finish their airship and also note that Eggman also has a late start so the scrapniks have being doing their own projects since the Shattering.

Also Eggman badniks are extremely versatile. As a example we can put put Egg Pawns in construction projects, they jus don't give bonus roll in construction project but they can do it.

no I don't. listen to me. in sonic 1, the very first game in the series. Sonic is 14. in the modern day he is 15. this means that the entire series so far takes place in around a year.

edit: I was assuming Sonic was 14 in the original because I know that Sonic has only actually aged a year over the course of the series, and on Segas website Sonics age is listed as 15. but after checking apparently Sonic was also listed as 15 in the Manual of the first Sonic game.

Where do you even read?

I don't think we ever have a definitive timeline in cannon.

The designs of Sonic and his friends, even voices per Generation is too small and young in the Classic Era to justify they wildly different appearance on modern times.

Like Eggman even with all his industrial might can't do all the stuff he did in all game in just one single year.

honestly I can't remember where I originally read about all this. and after looking into it I've realized that Sega are being fucking stupid about Sonics age. currently Sonic is officially 15 years old (this comes from Segas own website), and in the manual for the first Sonic game he is also listed as 15 years old. that's impossible because of Sonics birthday in Sonic Generations.

also apparently in 2017 Sega made a statement trying to retcon modern day Sonic to be 10 years old.
