We won against this wave, but in hindsight, we really shouldn't have sent Metal out to fight the Zeti.

Just because he could beat one control roll, doesn't mean he could beat another.

I was worried about this happening, but oh well, live and learn as the title said. We didn't even take a point of damage except on Metal.

Excuse me, he's a what now!?

Yep, one look at the guy and you can figure out he's pretty good diplomat.

He wants to conquer the world but he does in a very conventional way, he set up cease fires, trade deals, military alliances and so on. Anything that could give him a edge and all the while keeping his population docile, recruitment of his troops all time high and getting the loyalty of the army.

I half expect in the moment we e gage in a alliance with GUN and the Restoration to kick out the Empire from Green Hills, he will sue for a cease fire since he's invading the region because it was in the middle of a power vacuum and he would.need to analyse the situation.

Don't be fooled by the name Heart, it's just another name for diplomacy and to get people to listen to you. Metal has a 0 Heart not because he don't feel anything but because he lack means to express himself.

...hm. There's the likelihood of Zavok trying to stack Zeti against us. Or sending Silver Sonic early, considering Metal > Silver.

Should we bring the big guns early?

Metal Sonic copies Piastol Whie Darf!

Metal synthesises a fitting trait!

Silver Subdwarf: Metal adds half his Mystic stat to use in matters of Combat, Life, Death, and Void.
Metal Obtains 10 Mystic!
He learns to cast Eterni based spells like Piastol!
Metal Copies Conquering Storm Ninjutsu Specialist!

Metal gains +2 Trickery!
At this point, Zavok recalls Zomon, telling him to retreat!

Zomon and Metal retreat from the battlefield!
This might be a win for us in the long term since Metal has powered up quite a lot. He gained mystic powers and trickery, all the better for us. In the short term...

I hope he doesn't use his stolen Silver Magic to instakill anyone... and we might be forced to beat him down and then rebuild him.

Going to be completely honest. I think that this outcome
Result: 1d100 (60) + 2(???) + 24 (???)+ 10(???)
Total: 96

Metal Sonic-Resist Zeti's control (Heart Check)
Result: 1d100 (93) + 0(Metal Sonic Heart) + 10(Obey EGGMAN!)
Total: 103

Zomom Bare failure!
Metal's Ego is too big for a Zeti to handle!

Zomon can't fully control Metal Sonic, but he can at least stop him from acting this round!
Metal Doesn't Add his bonus this round!

Is incredibly cheap from a roll and narrative standpoint.

Metal Sonic clutches the role in what was almost a one in one hundred chance and gets nothing for it. He gets stunned and might as well have lost everything. His trait should have at least procced as even if he didn't "act" he still survived a round of combat with Zomon.

Clutch roll, was also a completely clutch useless roll that achieved nothing.

Alright so Zik managed to get Zavok to make a plan instead of just attacking us as expected, hopefully this doesn't lower the loyalty of Starline to badly.

We didn't knew if Zeti trait activate after each Round or just was one time thing.

I think so, like Darc Egg Robot was meant to Zavok but woth Zik on the field we may have to bring it earlier.

No. We should be able to keep things under some degree of Control.

After all, even without Metal on our side, they couldn't take us down by a single point of damage.

Also, look at how things went. Metal took up Zomzom's entire control. We can probably make use of that somehow.

Anyways, time to throw out the Proghorns.

Hm...let's assume each Zeti can use that trait. This means that only Zeena can act with that trait next turn, which is advantageous for us.

Hm....I'd rather not risk Cassia just yet. Not unless we do some rapid work on her care unit and turn it into an ad-hoc suit of power armor/exoskeleton.

The Zeti have REALLY crossed a few lines with us.....What shall we do with them once we beat them all? I have the idea of sticking some special devices that nullify their powers...and then drop them off somewhere VERY unpleasant....Metro City (Condemned: Criminal Origins) or Jefferson Island (MadWorld) come to mind....

Starline: "Sir, that bet did not pay off at all."

Eggman: "Robots can be rebuild. Harder, faster, stronger. We adapt and survive."
